LightsideDarksider Okay, I'm pondering something... How much of our U.S. troop strength is protecting our borders? I don't mean over in Afghanistan "fighting for our freedoms and to protect against teworwists." I'm talking actual defense of our borders from a potential invading country? 'Cause I'm curious...if it turns out most of our troops are deployed in the Middle East and very little are committed to border defense, then aren't we at some risk of some random country deciding "hey, let's ******** s**t up in the USA since they're too busy bombing deserts" and they'll send some invasion or another in hopes of getting lucky? I know the chances are slim, but still...it's just something that's bugging me. Well, there are about 250,000 Chinese and Russian troops just chilling on the Mexican-American border waiting to be deployed, so regardless of why they're there invasion's not something to be worried about.

Yeah, I guess you're right. It's just another one of those days pondering why we're even still in the Middle East. Bring them home, focus on defense, get them working, stop wasting money on a fruitless war that's getting us nowhere, divert that money into fixing healthcare, repairing roads, improving education, etc....that's my policy. I don't hate troops...they're not bad people. They believe they're protecting their families and country and there's nothing wrong with that. But I now fail to see how the War on Terror is actually protecting America. We're spending too much and getting too little out of it, if we're even getting anything at all.

Ever stop and think about which side is trying harder to scare you into submission?

Ever stop and think about which side is trying harder to scare you into submission? Which is pretty much the logic behind the whole "fighting terror with terror" proclamation by the war's detractors. I'm afraid...I'm very afraid that by continuing this war and continuing with the propaganda, we are becoming the very thing we set out to destroy. A lot of the world now perceives us as macho, nationalistic, jingoist fatasses spreading Manifest Destiny around the world. I don't want America to be viewed that way, but sadly our actions have jeopardized that hope of mine.

You don't go along with it, you die.

Kingdom of Loathing you acquire an item: disease
I love this game. xd Not only did I get an STD by fighting a harem girl, but I got an STD that's a tradeable commodity.

I got called into work two hours early but we went to bed decently early so it's cool.
After work it's time to go wait in line for Harry Potter!
