Her eyes now gleam with a child-like joy and her smirk turns into a small grin.
"The 'Reeve' that took your Sarya was pure evil. One of thoes human scum who is only out for personal gain of money. What he wanted to do with her exactly is beyond my knowlege."

Her grin grows even more and her face lights up with excitement.
"No, I don't know where he went exactly; though I could help you in the search. Tell me everything there is about that girl. I know she's not human; what is she?"

She's not human. She's youkai...wolf- like, She can turn into either wolf or youkai, a towering, powerful creature... as far as her past goes, she's been with me for some time, but before that... I don't know....she only gives me bits and pieces....

Lady Aven "Hmm.. A youkai. And I thought they were extinct now. This is great!" By now she had a big smile across her face and a shimmer of excitement shown in her eyes like a child on christmas. "What has she told you of her past so far?" Youkai are actually kinda plentiful here, or at least, they were...Sarya and I lived near one another as little children. the humans of our town, Nailo, were very prejudiced against youkai. Sarya's mother would fight while she and her father hid. Then, one day, Renn, her mother, killed my father. My mother went to look for him, and don't know what happened to her. I left home later, and so, lost track of my childhood sweetheart. Some people, she said, captured her and forced her to kill... I don't remember how she got away, but she did. I met her next, many years later at Bukashi Ninja Village. So many years later, in fact, I did not recognise her, or what had happened.

"Do you know what the men were like who first captured her or why they had her kill?"

She turned back to the forest and thought a moment longer. Then with a solmn look on her face she let out a sigh and spoke in an angelic voice to Reeve.
"I'm sorry to say that those who took her this time might very well be the same lot that took her the first. But for that to be possible after so long a time, you'd have had to go back to your home town and had someone notice you there and report you to them. Did you guys ever go back?"

I swore an oath never to kill again...

"Well, whatever you choose it's up to you. If you'd still like my help I'd be glad to accompany you."
She looked at Reeve a moment then turned back to the woods.
"Is killing wrong when it's to protect someone you love? Is killing wrong when that's the only way you can survive? If it is, then many in the world are condemed to Hell. And remember, you're not the only one who feels the burden of the souls they've killed."
