"Then it is good that none of the oposing force made its way here while we where tied up in the forest." he siad with a friendly smile before hearing her next statment. "I told you not to leave but?" he said waiting to hear her responce. Shaow pulled himself out of the pool and sat next to her while she formulated her responce.

Alice looked down at the water before looking over at him. "I.........Did leave the mansion.......for a while......" she said softly before looking back down the the water.

Shadow kept his cool. He didn't want to take any rash action until he had heard the full story. "Where did you go and who did you interact with?" he asked in a calm voice.

Alice looked up at him from the corner of her eye before looking back at the water. She then closed her eyes before telling him. "I went to town........and told my family.........I wasn't coming back......" she said softly.

"Did you mention where you where going? Did you tell them of the creatures that you encountered in your absance?" he asked still trying to kep a calm tone. The last thing he needed was to scare Alice into doign something stupid.

Alice shook her head slightly as she sat there. "They did ask where and why but I just told them I couldn't explain......." she said softly with a slight sigh. She left out about the part that the women in charge of the orphanage did lock her in her room so she couldn't leave, but she managed to escape. Though she did have to leave all her things behind. Alice was actually surprised that that he hadn't yelled at her yet.

"Then everything is fine. It is good that you managed to hold your tounge. I wouldn't want to think about what would happen if any humans out there found out about this place." he said in his still calm tone. He couldn't get angry knowing that there was no trouble comming from the humans in the town. "You have proven that you can be trusted. I will permit you to leave the mansion during the day, as long as you keep your mouth shut and return after you have done what you need to in the town. Do we have a deal?" he said.

Alice looked at him a bit surprised. "Are you kidding?" she asked softly then smiled before quickly hugging him. "You've got a deal!" she said happily. She then suddenly lost her balance on the edge of the pool, palling in and pulling him in with her.

Shadow fell into the pool. 'Well I expected her to get excited but this just take the piss.' he thought as he draged them both up to the surface again. "Feel free to leave the mansion. As long as you come back without saying anything to the locals everything will be fine. If you need funds I can set you up with some." he said as he kciked to keep himself afloat.

Alice giggled softly as she placed a hand behind her head. "Thank you........and sorry about that. You should have realized by now that I'm quite clumsy!" she said softly with a smile as she let him go letting herself swim.

"I can see that you are clumsy but so are some of the others... well Abel is on ocasion." he said as he climbed up onto the edge of the pool. He watched her swim and realised he knew very little about this resident. "So what is your story?" he asked.

Alice looked over at him for a moment before looking away. ".....I don't have one......" she said softly as she looked down at the water. She then laid back on her back in the water, looking up at the sky. "I've lived in an orphanage since I was young so I really don't have one......" she said softly with a sad look on her face.

Shadow felt slightly sorry for Alice. Everyone he had run into had a story to tell but she didn't. "Well your story starts here then, with us. You will see many strange things during your time here. After a while you will have a story to tell someone." he said trying to make her feel a little better but he never was good at comforting people.

Alice looked over at him and noticed that he was starting to feel sorry for me. She smiled over at him as she swam over to him slightly. She then quickly splashed him, giggling softly as she swam in one place. "Thank you! And I'm alright with not having parents........I may not remember them much but I do remember a little about them. And they thought me to not judge people by what they are or how they act..........Actually....if it wasn't for them I wouldn't have come here and met you or Ryuuzaki....." she said softly with a smile.
