When Shinji tapped Kazuo, nothing happened. Shinji sighed deeply, then stepped back and tried again. He channeled more of his chakra into the jutsu, converting it into electricity.

Electricity coated his body. When Shinji tapped the ground, a small portion blew apart under the electric charge.

ANBU of Cloud Village and Mist 7 member  "Very good. Now for the next jutsu. Cloud Wisp jutsu. Just make these handsigns." Kazuo makes the handsigns. "Then form a cloud in your hands. You will lose conciousness and you will be able to hear and see from it. I'm not going to do it."

Ronnel nodded and ran through the hand signs. However, when he tried using the jutsu, nothing happened. He stopped, and pondered the cloud's formation.

The boy nodded slowly, and began running through the hand seals slowly, pumping chakra into the technique. A faint mist started to form between his hands, but other than that nothing happened.

Sighing, Shinji pushed more chakra into the jutsu. This time, a cloud of yellow tinged smoke rose up between his palms.

Shinji nodded to himself, and forced more chakra into the jutsu, watching the cloud expand between his palms until the smoke touched both palms.

Satisfied with the size of the cloud, Shinji blinked and looked at Kazuo. Then he remembered that his sensei had done another hand sign once the could was formed.

Shinji performed that sign slowly, and suddenly his body collapsed to the ground. He watched on in shock from the cloud.

Shinji tilted his head to one side.
"Uh.. ss.s.e...sensei.. what are t.t..the s.s.s.seals...?"

Shinji stepped back, slightly shocked.
"N...n..no seals???" He asked.
Then he paused, and tried thinking this through.
How would you g.g.ggo about c.c.cchanging into l..lightning? Then he realized it would take a lot of focus....and a lot of chakra at first.

Sighing, he held his hands together in a ram seal to help him focus his concentration. Electricity began crackling over his body.

The electricity suddenly all shot to his chest and broke apart in a flash of bright light. When the light faded Shinji was bouncing around as a thin stream of lightning.

He landed in front of Kazuo and returned to his normal form. He shouted giddily,
"T.t..t..THAT WAS AWESOME!!!" The lightning charge was still bouncing around him slightly, and as he spoke some crackled around his mouth. As it did, his speech impediment faded in and out, but when the sparks faded his stutter returned full force.

ANBU of Cloud Village and Mist 7 member "Very good." He says proud of his student for being able to figure it out on his own. "Now..." He tosses a kunai into the air then makes handsigns slow enough for his student to see. Clouds form in the sky and suddenly the kunai flew up into it. It soon dispursed and the kunai dropped back into the ground. "Lightning Release: Lightning Magnet."
"Lightning Release: Static Force." Kazuo manipulates lightning chakra into his hands creating static electricity. A rock jumps to his hand. "You just create static electricity in your hand to cause things to jump to it."

Shinji had a small smile grow at the praise from his sensei. He watched the hand seals of the lightning jutsu carefully, not wanting to mess it up. Then, he began running through the seals himself slowly, taking care to get each one right.

He stood up straight as he realized a good way to test the effectiveness. He pulled out a trio of senbon, and after a slight bit of work, had a trap rigged that would go off, launching the senbon into his arm. He began the jutsu as the paper bomb began counting down.

As the bomb exploded and launched the senbon at him, Shinji finished his jutsu and threw his hands up. A cloud formed above his head, with lightning crackling in it. The senbon skewed upwards into the cloud, then when the jutsu ended, they fell to the ground harmless.

Feeling slightly giddy, Shinji began his next jutsu. Thinking back, he realized that Kazuo hadn't done any seals for this jutsu so...
"I..it's j.j.j.just elem...elemental m.m.m.man...manipulation!" He said to himself when he figured it out.

Holding one hand up, Shinji began forming his chakra over it. He pushed more chakra than the Flickering Light, but less than the Burst. Soon his hand glowed yellow in the rain.

The three senbon still on the ground leapt up to the back of Shinji's hand. Only quick reflexes kept Shinji's hand from being impaled, but he did manage to catch them and look at Kazuo happily.
