Dr Entropy Ace Zero Dr Entropy Well I'd use the same argument of why I'm not affected by my own melody arm: I use my chakra to direct it into your ears but not my own so naturally I'd keep it away from my clones ^_^ Actually it's does not affect dosu because he would be used to the sound and I think he has his ears wrapped up, On the show we he sent a sound wave out it go's out in a 360 degree angle so either dosu is used to it or because his ears are wrapped up. *Pushes glasses back up to face* Well Dosu said that even if someone was covering their ears, they can still be affected by it and this still has yet to explain why Rock Lee was affected but not Sakura. Chakra ear plugs? I'm kinda late to this conversation, but what the hell.

But since they really never say anything about in the manga or anime, you don't need a reason.

Umm... I could have ended this argument a long time ago probably. In about 99% of circumstances a person's chakra based attacks aren't going to effect themselves, since it is their chakra they have natural immunity to it. Dosu's attacks are all based on transmission of sound waves which are completely harmless unless you add chakra. To a certain degree Dosu can target who he wants to effect with the attacks by the amount of chakra he uses and in which direction it's headed. He can determine the range of the attack with simple chakra manipulation.
