Kunoichi (くノ一) is directly translated as Nine and One and it refers to the number of orifices on the female body. A male has nine, a female has one more, and possesses the necessary skill to make use of it as well. Also, the term can derive from the names of katakana that resemble the three strokes in the kanji character for woman (女, onna); said in the order they are written: ku (く) - no (ノ) - ichi (一). I found it interesting~
