"Your grandmother has been waiting a very long time to see your ada married," Lin looked amused.
Of course that wasn't the complete of it, Lin knew that she didn't know how long Luthien had been waiting specifically for them to marry. After all she had known Earendil since he was in his teens, that was a very long time.
"Very well then," Lin smiled and began that very long story.

While Lin and Earendil were telling their story to Luthien, Aranxia headed over to see Miyuki, who was now officially her cousin.
"Welcome back, Miyuki," she said warmly, her dark eyes bright as she slid into the chair across from Miyuki and River. "It's been a while since you've been here. Who's your friend?"
She smiled at River, though propriety prevented her from speaking to her before they had been introduced.

Miyuki smiled, "This is River, River, this is Aranxia."
She looked brightly up at the other girl, she only remembered her a bit, but they didn't get to interact a whole lot.
"How have you been?"
She knew it had been a while since they last talked (which was probably a bit of an understatement).

Aranxia smiled at Miyuki. "I've been quite well, thank you. I'm nearly finished my studies already, though I'm not sure what I'll do afterwards. I'd still like to travel, though I'm not sure if Mother and Father will approve."
"Sounds like me," River grinned. "I was only allowed to travel because my grandparents came with."
Aranxia smiled sadly. "Unfortunately, Uncle Earendil and Uncle Daeron are the only travelers in our family, and since they hardly ever return, I don't think I'll be allowed to go with them. I haven't even met Uncle Daeron yet."

"Hmm...." Miyuki murmured thoughtfully, "Uncle Daeron should be coming here eventually."
Though she wasn't sure how soon, since she didn't even know why he and Iorlas stayed behind to begin with.
"And since we're heading to the Borderlands after this, I guess that means the starting point for our next trip will be the Borderlands again, and I wish I could suggest something but... we're going to be gone a long time on the next trip."
She knew this because she heard the grown ups talking about it, where they were going had a lot of land. It could take a long while to travel through that area.

Aranxia's eyes lit up brightly at Miyuki's news. "Really?" she said excitedly (though her being excited was still like River being calm). "He's coming here?"
River grinned at the princess. "He's at the plantation with your Uncle Gion right now. He's just taking care of some business and then he'll be joining us here."
Aranxia clasped her hands together. "I can't wait," she breathed, her dark eyes sparkling.

Miyuki grinned, "I'm sure nako can't wait once she finds out."
She looked over to where her grandmother was listening to her mother. Miyuki had never seen someone so excited before. Well, no one as old as her nako anyways.

Aranxia laughed softly. "I would wait until she's finished talking with Uncle Earendil and Lin. Not too much excitement all at once."
She tilted her head slightly. "But who is the little boy with them? Do you have a brother now, Miyuki?"

Miyuki nodded at that, "That's my little brother Andarien. He came from a music box... I think."
There was no official proof that Andarien had been born from the music box that Miyuki gave her father, but seeing as it was one of the few Gaian things he owned and he always seemed to be attached to that music box as a baby, it was a fair guess.

Aranxia shook her head incredulously, but she was smiling. "I shall never understand how such things are possible," she murmured. "But I've heard enough stories, you would think I would know by now."
River giggled. "Things just get stranger every time someone from Gaia shows up. Though I guess now, I have to admit that it's not always their fault."
Aranxia blinked at River. "I beg your pardon?"

"River lives in the Borderlands. Mommy says that her family has been showing up there since before Haven was made!"
Of course it was Donovan's fault that Haven existed in the first place.
"And things always happen when family is around. Like Andarien, or like Great-Grandfather Daemon. Or maybe it's just the people we find when we travel...."

Aranxia looked from Miyuki to River and back. "But ... River made it sound as if something happened on this particular journey that wasn't something from Gaia ..."
River grinned. "Well, we met a few special people, that's all. They'll be following along with Daeron when he shows up."
After all, 'interesting' was probably the calmest word that could be used to describe Iorlas, Ioreth and Lancaeriel.

Miyuki rolled her eyes, "We always have special people about with interesting stories."
Which was perhaps a bit of an understatement, though she knew who specifically River was talking about.
"I mean... my parents brought back Luk and Aethos... and found Alassëa on this trip and while she has a special talent of her own."
And there were their other traveling companions though Miyuki didn't know much about them.

Aranxia giggled softly. "Yes ... Senator Luk and Aethos-sola." She looked down the table. "But Aethos-sola ... he is different now. Very different from what he was like the last time he was here."
Aethos was sitting with Alassëa just past Luk, Arthael and Halmir. The sola was smiling while he spoke with Alassëa.
Aranxia watched the two with a thoughtful expression on her face. "Is that Alassëa, then? What is her talent?"

"She can fight and move around like a seeing person even though she's blind," Miyuki replied, "She's been teaching us how she does it, and it's not easy. Possible, but difficult."
Which was normal and fine, she knew that, but she was just stating it like it was a fact.
