You make it sound like the fact that their characters were built to be the very upper limit of what was allowed within the tournament in terms of power didn't help them any. XP
But, yeah, that's why they DQ'ed themselves. I know, we fought them in the finals. I dunno what Joshua's runes could do, but I got the impression he could have taken down a few of the teams competing (one of them at a time, I mean) solo. But... eh. I haven't gotten around to reading Maxi's fights yet, but srsly. You're giving them even more praise than they deserve, which isn't little.
Also, you forgot Stryphe.
Dragon- a** Tear doesn't plan to compete this year. Maybe we'll see them make appearance as eliminators.

Their skilled roleplayers, but they can be beat. Not because someone is better than them, but because their characters aren't so over the top that you'd have to go and dig and dig and dig to find something that'd hurt them. Punch Jello's character in the face and it'd hurt him. Mm, balance.
It sort of falls under the same thing as in CCGs. A character, like a card, can be good in skilled hands (such as the author, in our case), but if you find the right card or combination thereof, a character can be taken down, even if the person behind it might be a better writer/player.
But no more analogies or comparisons from me. I feel like s**t already, and I don't think the doctor prescribed discussing roleplaying aspects as part of my medicine XD.
And I'm looking for a team too, since I don't even know if my team (XD) still roleplays. Hore was in the FFA for a bit, I have no clue what Knight is up to, and Dyne is.. I don't know, either xd

From what I understand, the prize keeps going up yearly.
It depends on donations, but we're all getting richer as a whole.

The thing that bugged me the most about last year was not that I had my a** torn by a** Tear.
It was that I wasn't selected for the eliminator round. I felt FLAMING COUCH DOUBLE KO was enough to warrant that honor.

I don't think I did too bad, save the eye gouging, skin melting, and permanent arm damage.
We took out the Clocktower, so it's all good.

Not that it matters, the character I used last year was s**t anyways. Horribly made on the fly. Could have done a lot better than that.

I should be able to post in a manner that doesn't irritate everyone now. Since I can be up at the late hours that I was the only one not up and RP'ing during last year. Slowed things down when you could only post once a day because you weren't online at the same time.
And balanced they were. HoH had screening for broken things after all. But it didn't mean they weren't insanely difficult. I sort of wonder how Kael will do this year now that he no longer has any supernatural back up.
And Knight is still around, though I don't know where. He was in that thing of Owle's I told you about at the beginning.

Ah. I've my invitation for that somewhere in my PMs..
And yeah, HOH's screening process worked well. Hopefully it'll provide the same playing field as last year. Slight differences based on a particular person's style, but nothing like "6 year old retarded child in wheel chair fights 6'2 body builder and twelve year black belt." All the characters seemed to be in each other's power range.

Ryugi Kazamaru Of those three, and one of them could have taken on the entire enemy team and probably come out on top as the winner. I did tell your entire team to come at me at once, didn't I? Would have been so entertaining if they had. xd I would have had a lot of fun with it, since it's been a long time since I had to fight several people at once, though that character was definitely designed around the concept. I mean, the way that it's set up (in theory), his particular fighting style is intended to be used against multiple opponents rather than just one. The character (speaking ICly) is more used to fighting groups of people. Buuuut... HoH. You'll see us 3 OVERLORDs again this year. We were the Eliminator staff in '06, we were Team a** Tear in '07, and we'll be back to Eliminators in '08. ...it really just wasn't fair to the world to have a team like TAT. One of us each on separate teams, maybe. All of us on the same team? That's like the Superfriends starting a mosh pit at a concert.
