Clint frowned still not believing that Loki would be up to handling most things in a months time. While it was true that the difference between their mental healing was a mind healer, Loki's mind was far more in ruins than Clint's had been. If he had to guess it would take Loki at least as long as it had taken him to heal as much as he had. But again that was only because of the mind healer, if Loki had not had that he was sure it would be a very long time before he could deal with much at all. "I don't think he thought Loki would submit, when Loki was controlling me through the sceptre I caught glimpses of Thanos and never was there irritation over Loki's defiance of some orders. In fact he seemed pleased like he wanted Loki to fight, like the fight was more fun for him." Clint stated shaking his head.
Natasha looked to Clint as the man talked about the control that had been forced on him. He had healed alot, before he would have growled at anyone who had tried to bring it up. Looking back to the queen she shook her head. "I am not talking about his past trauma, I want to know if there is any other trauma going on that we can not see." Natasha responded.

Frigga listened to Clint, head tilted slightly. She didn’t like what she was hearing. She knew Thanos would enjoy the struggle, but to hear he was pleased when Loki fought after having submitted…that wasn’t good. Looking to Natasha, she frowned. “In a way he is suffering I suppose. If it’s enough to be a trauma of the mind, I can’t honestly tell you.” She said softly. Pausing, she looked down. “But I can’t explain to you what’s wrong with him…it’s a private matter.” He said slowly. “I’m confident that he will handle it though….that’s all I can tell you.” She added. If Tony tried to help, tried to mend the bonds that were breaking, then all of that would repair itself in time. And though she knew little of Jotun mates and bonds, she had a feeling that if both men were trying, the bond would repair itself faster than anyone thought it would. And then it would only be a matter of time.

Natasha watched the queen frown and knew she had hit something in her questioning. But she had known that before she had asked the question. Something else had seemed to be bothering Loki and Tony too if she really thought about it. Loki was suffering from something possibly not attributed to his mind and Natasha could only think of two things it could be. She didn't think it to be the children since Bruce would have seemed more concerned the last few days if it was. Nodding to the queen when she said that it was a private matter. "I am sure it will work itself out." Natasha replied with a small smile. "I think I will go lay down for a bit call me when it is time for dinner." Natasha said levering herself up and walking from the room. Clint gave a gesture to the group and followed Natasha.

Nodding as Natasha and Clint left, Frigga turned to Tony. Seeing that he had finished most of the food that had been left for him, she gave a satisfied hum. “Come Anthony, I think you need to go rest with Loki now.” She said softly. Standing, she handed Fenrir off to Thor and picked up the box from Jotunheim, waiting for Tony to get up before walking out, the genius trailing behind. Smiling warmly at Skadi when she found him, she slipped into the room, tucking the box safely away and giving tony the opportunity to lay down. The genius slipped into bed. He kept space between himself and Loki, but at least he was stretched out on the bed. Frigga came over to him and perched on the bed like she usually did with Loki. Tony stared at her then, clearly unsure about such a position. The queen simply smiled at him. “Loki will recover from this, as will you. I ask you to give Loki a chance. He’s frightened….and he has never had someone love him as deeply as you. He doesn’t know how to trust in those feelings.” She said softly. Tony just frowned, looking away fromher uncomfortably. He’d never had a parental figure to behave in this manner around him. Frigga just let out a breath of a laugh. “Sleep Tony.” She said softly, reaching out to pet his hair, using a little magic to make him drift off and insure he wouldn’t have nightmares this time. Standing after a moment, she stepped out of the bedroom, hugging her arms and taking a deep breath. Things were always so complicated.

Thor took Fenrir without complaint settling the pup into his lap and petting him to soothe. He was a bit surprised to see Tony not argue with his mother at all and simply follow her. Skadi was waiting just inside the room but seemed quite relaxed even as Frigga and Tony entered. He returned the smile that she gave him with a bow of his head and a smile of his own. He watched his queen with the genius smiling to himself when she sat on the bed next to him as she did with Loki and Thor. She was the epitome of a mother and he admired her for it. Listening to her words he nodded silent in agreement, no one had love Loki like Tony had or at least to his knowledge no one had. The love of a family member was much different than someone who was devoted completely to you. "You are using much of your magic my queen. Perhaps you should rest as well until the evening meal." Skadi suggested quietly after his queen had sent Tony off to sleep without the nightmares that he knew probably plagued both men and stepped out of the room. He had followed her of course now that the trouble had passed. After all he was her guard even he had been Loki's long before.

Frigga looked back to Skadi when he spoke and smiled at him. “You always take such good care of me….of my family.” She said softly. She really was lucky to have such a loyal man guarding her family and choosing to continue doing so. Looking around, she gave a small nod. “I suppose that I could lay down for a while….But if I do, you must promise me to take the opportunity to relax a little. We are safe here, you can take a moment to relax, you take far too little time for yourself.”

Skadi smiled at his queen fondly when she remarked that he always took good care of her and her family. "I would choose to do nothing else than serve yourself and your sons." he remarked back. Serving them had been a pleasurable part of his life especially when Loki had been young and now that he was protecting the queen. He nodded when the queen continued that perhaps she could rest for a while. "I will do so if that is what you wish." he responded. He of course did not tell her that he would merely rest just outside her door to make sure no one entered her room.Instead he merely walked to her and held out a hand to help her up and from the room to a room she could rest in.

Frigga allowed herself to be helped. She wasn’t like Odin, she was always willing to accept help when offered. “I do wish that. You are always working so hard Skadi….You should take opportunities to relax when you can…..” she said, walking with him towards a guest room that she remembered Loki saying was for her if she ever needed to stay. “I must admit….at times I worry that I ask too much of you.” She admitted. She never wanted to ask Skadi to do too much or sacrifice anything more than he already had.

Skadi smiled and helped his queen from the room to the room Loki had allocated to her before. He was glad that the queen accepted his help when her son's were so independent, Loki had accepted his help when he was young but he didn't much anymore. His smile brightened when the queen wished for him to rest. "Guarding you is like a rest my queen. Much more so than when I guarded your son." he joked. When she commented about asking to much of him he frowned and shook his head. "You could never ask too much of me. There is nothing I would not do for you." Skadi stated firmly.

Frigga let out a small laugh when Skadi said guarding her was a rest. “Be thankful you had Loki. He was not easy by any means, but Thor went through more guards than I thought possible.” She said lightly. She’d had to keep Thor’s guards on rotation to keep them from being too strained. Looking to the man when he said there was nothing he wouldn’t do for her, Frigga’s smile softened. “I know that, I do.” She said gently. “And if you ever need to ask anything of me and my family, ask…..your loyalty to us will not go ignored or unrewarded.” She murmured. Pausing outside of the door to the room, she faced Skadi, touching his arm gently. “Thank you Skadi….for everything that you do.” She said before slipping into the room to lay down.

Skadi couldn't help the broad smile when his queen told him that he should be thankful that he had been chosen to guard loki. While loki often got into mischief he was no where as bad with his guard as Thor was. Thor seemed to have a knack of injuring his guards in his play but he had been strong from a young age. Or the boy had always been running off, it drove the guards in charge of the blond crazy. So while he had been Loki's only guard Thor had needed several. "You are welcome my queen." he answered her but leaving the first statement unremarkable upon. He knew his loyalty and service were valued and he already wanted for little. Once the queen had slipped into her room Skadi put his back against the wall and slid down it. Sitting there he sighed. There was one thing he did want of course but knew he could never have.

Frigga slept for a while, knowing that she was safe in this mansion and with the residents here. Eventually Steve came to her door to inform her of dinner. Finding Skadi sitting outside, he blinked. “We have other rooms you could rest in you know. And chairs if you really feel the need to sit out here.” He said slowly, arms crossed over his chest. “I’m neither the queen, nor Thor would ask you to sit out here like this.” He added with a smile. He could appreciate Skadi’s dedication to Frigga though. He seemed like a good man, and the entire royal family seemed to trust and rely on him. Even Tony seemed to like him from what interactions he’d seen.

Skadi dosed against the wall next to the door of Frigga's room and woke when he heard footsteps coming towards them. Skadi looked to Steve as the man approached offering him a nod as the man blinked at him. "Thank you but I was fine sitting here while my queen rests." Skadi stated shaking his head. He then moved to stand. "Am I to take it that it is time for dinner?" Skadi questioned. He didn't argue with the fact that neither the queen or Thor would ask him to sit outside of their rooms.

Steve crossed his arms as Skadi stood, watching the man closely. He didn’t know much about Skadi and was still trying to figure the man out. He was stoic and quiet in comparison to the other Asgardians he met. “Yeah, it’s ready.” He said slowly. “I suppose you should wake here since you’re here. And can you ask her if Tony and Loki should be woken for dinner? I thought about getting them, but neither of them have slept much lately, so I didn’t know if we should just let them sleep.” He added. Rubbing the back of his neck, he smiled at Skadi. “And you’ll be sitting down and joining us for dinner I hope, there’s more than enough.” He wasn’t particularly comfortable with the idea that Skadi would refuse food due to some formality that didn’t exist here.

Skadi watched the solider after he had stood and evaluated him. He was under the impression that the man was a good one, and cared about his comrades. Nodding when Steve confirmed that the evening meal was indeed ready. "I will inform my queen that the evening meal is ready and ask her about the young prince and his mate." Skadi informed Steve when the man suggested such things. Seeing the smile on Steve's face Skadi returned it. "I shal join you if that is your wish and there is room for me." he conceeded pleased to have been asked. On Asgard he might have refused because guards and servants did not eat with the royalty but he had been informed that things were much different here.
