I really want you to think about this one. What do you have to protect? What would you give your life to make sure it survived?" "...you..... and kyuubi..." She said looking away from him going silent, she felt very akward but it just came out and she could see herself doing that for them more than anyone.

"Good! You've got something, so go with that. When we start your training, I want you to imagine someone killing Kyuubi or me. But I don't want you to get angry. I want that urge to protect to drive your emotions. Don't let your anger cloud your thinking. It's powerful, but it's unreliable and difficult to focus. Use just that urge to protect."

As he spoke, Sage danced from foot to foot like a demented monkey. SHe glared at him and didn't do anything going to walk away again. "I don't......." She said walking away. She remembered what neko had said when she last attacked someone, that anyone here could badly injure you or worse kill you, he had told her to be careful who you choose to fight with.

Sagetim Sage continued to dance like a demented monkey as he followed her singing, " bother bother bother bother bother!" "i'm not going to fight you....." She said going into her room and slamming the door in his face to keep him out and locked it going on her bed and throwing the pillow over head head to ignore him.

Seph gave an exasperated sigh. "I'm not asking you to protect anyone.. I'm saying, use the feeling, the emotion. Imagine it. That should be enough for now. Just because you couldn't protect someone in the past doesn't mean you didn't want to. All you need is the desire."

"well i don't have it so it won't work." She said not really sure what it felt like to know but she was getting annoyed not understanding really. SHe layed back down on the couch with her face in the cushion.

Sage continued to sing out, " bother bother botheeeerrrrr!" for a few moments after she closed the door. He then said, " you know, running away from a problem doesn't solve it. You have to confront problems to solve them. And apparently Neko has cowed you into not sticking up for yourself. Good luck in training. But your probably not going to do very well if you can't face an uphill battle."
After speaking, Sage meandered off.

"but if i imagined you dying that form comes back again and we are back at square one......." She s aid sighing flipping over looking at him. As they talked Kyuubi was relaxing under the couch listening while its' tails went back and forth .
