Kail gave a sarcastic shrug. "Heh, let's try this thing," he said, taking the controller. Placing 15 PD on the counter, he stole a controller, and attempting to have some semblance of aim.

Kail blinked. "Wow, I really do suck..."

Kisumi stood and then took a seat in front of the controller. Grinning, she looked around for her next opponent. The wiry girl from before was nowhere in sight, but a Piplup glanced at her.
">I'm your opponent.<" she said. The penguin pokemon prepared to shoot a blast of water at the tiny circle.
Kisumi placed 15 PD on the counter and the game started.
EDIT:
The penguin bounced up and down triumphantly. Laughing, she grabbed an oran berry and darted away. ">Humans make winning so much easier!<" she said, smirking. She poked a pink form beside of her. ">Go try the human male. Win a berry for us to take home together and show our success.<"
The pink form yawned, before plodding forward. The pink pokemon turned around so that Kail could see his opponent was a Slowpoke! ">Sloooo.<" he said, and there was no meaning to his words. And like the Slowpoke before him, his mind was a complete blank. Instead he simply prepared to face his opponent.

"... if this guy beats me, I think I have to commit ritual suicide," muttered Kail, edging away from the Slowpoke in complete terror. Still, he took the controller, and try not to look too insane.

"In the case of a tie, the opponents must have a rematch," the stand person said.
The Slowpoke yawned, a big, drawn out yawn that would make everyone around him slightly tired. ">Slooooooooo.<" he said, drawing out on the word even if it wasn't on purpose. He faced the screen again, prepared to continue.
">C'mon, you can do this! Beat the human!<" the Piplup cheered.

Kail facepalmed. "This is insane..." he muttered, but once again grabbed the controller.
EDIT:
"MWAHAHA! IN YOUR FACE, SLOWPOKE!" Kail laughed maniacally.
[Sloooooooo.]
"Um, kid? Choose a berry, and stop laughing like that, you're scaring the customers."
Kail stopped laughing and grinned sheepishly, taking a Persim Berry.

"Nice job!" Kisumi said, congratulating Kail. The girl then faced the Piplup determinedly. "Rematch!"
The Piplup had sweatdropped when the Slowpoke had lost. ">Could've happened to anyone.<" she said, reassuring. Hearing the human girl, she nodded acceptance. ">Of course! There's no way I'll let a human defeat me!<"
The game began after the ring of a bell, and after Kisumi placed her money down.
2745 PD remaining.
EDIT:
The Piplup sweatdropped, and looked away embarrassed. ">S-Something was wrong with me, must've lost my focus or something..<" she muttered. Grabbing the Slowpoke's paw, the pair left.
Kisumi proudly took an oran berry, the girl smiling the entire time.
"Onward to the next game!"

Still giggling like a madman, Kail lead Kisumi to the next stand. It was a game of darts, with a target.
"Three darts for 50 PD! Win a potion, come on up!"
Kail tossed 50 PD at the man, and start to throw.
[Three darts for 50 PD. Roll a ten-sided die. If you roll a seven or higher, you receive a regular potion. If you roll a ten, you receive a Revive.]
EDIT:
Kail tilted his head to the side. "I am oddly lucky today..." he said, taking the potion and the revive.

Kisumi stepped out, watching as Kail won a revive and a potion. She placed 50 PD as she then grabbed the three darts. Concentrating, she tossed them on after another.

Kisumi smiled proudly, as she went to claim her prize. A revive.

"All right, Kisumi!" Kail cheered, giving her a little half-hug. Deciding he was in the mood to press his luck, he gave the stand man another 50 PD and took the three darts.

"Not too bad," said Kail, taking his second potion. Having had enough of the dart game (and realizing that his pheonomally bad aim might injury the little old lady six yards away, he stepped back. "Come on, Kisum, you can do it!"

Kisumi placed 50 PD on the counter, and then grabbed the three darts. This time she paused and concentrated after throwing each dart. Her concentration level was high, and hopefully it was enough for her to be able to win.
2645 PD remaining.
Kisumi smiled as she claimed the Revive as her prize. As they left the stand, something caught her eye. A huge crowd was gathered around a rectangular platform. On it were two trainers with the Team Magma emblem. "Anyone who can defeat us in battle will win a prize."
Debating for a second, the girl then stepped forward grabbing Kail's hand. "We'll do it!" she said, smiling.

Sammy walked in, a rather troublesome load of work stacked in her bag. It seemed that with the winter holidays coming up soon, the teachers were not being leniant with their work. She sat her bag on the floor and began scrolling through notes on the couch.

Kail was surprised when Kisumi grabbed his hand, but stepped forward anyway. "Bring it," he said cockily, nodding to the Magma grunt who would be his opponent.
The hooded boy tossed his Pokeball, releasing a Goldeen onto the field. "Alright, Goldy, do this. Top that!"
"It's a Goldeen, mate, they aren't exactly hard to find..." Kail muttered. However, he threw his own Pokeball, revealling his newest Pokeball, the Shiny Feebas Selkie. The Pokemon in question looked vaguely terrified at her first battle. "Let's go, Selkie!"
The Goldeen, aptly named Goldy, looked at Selkie contempously. [You look ridiculous!]
Selkie shivered. [Why is it always Goldeens...?]
"Tackle!"
"Use Supersonic!"
Selkie was just a bit faster than her opponent, landing a good hard Tackle on the shimmery fish. Goldy took damage, but shook himself off, aiming the sonic blast at the Feebas. However, the attack missed by a couple inches, careening off into some trashcans.
"Hey, watch where you're battling!"
Kail yelled, "Sorry!" despite not have actually done anything, then turned back to the battle. Not sure what else he could do, he mentally kept prompting Selkie to Tackle, and tried to keep her spirits up.
The successful attack and dodge had done a bit for her self-esteem. The Feebas bounced up again, hitting Goldy with another Tackle.
The pooer Goldeen wasn't looking too good. Goldy hissed with fury and sent another blast of Supersonic at Selkie. This time, it hit like a ton of brick. Selkie was reduced to flopping about, dizzily.
Kaill glanced at the berry in his hand. He didn't want to use it right now, without getting to plant it... "Selkie, just keep going!"
However, Selkie wasn't too lucky. In her confusion, she hurt herself, and Goldy, triumphant and angry, Pecked hard at her with his horn. Kail bit his lip, but stood by his decision. Just one good hit, that was all they needed.
Loopily, the Feebas tensed up, and flung herself wildly at Goldeen. And, much to the shock of the onlookers, the attack hit- with a critical. Kail blinked in surprise at the Goldeen collapsed, flopping on the ground. "Nicely done, Selkie," he said with a smile, returning the dazed Pokemon to it's ball.

Sammy looked at her watch, honestly a bit boredly. It was obvious that she was procrastinating with doing her work, but there wasn't really anything much to do, so she could only not work for so long. Damn school.

The other Magma grunt walked forward, glancing at Kisumi. "C'mon, Feather! Let's show these weaklings how its done!"
The familar flash of light, and a Taillow emerged soaring into the air. It shot upwards before shoot down, making an interesting appearance as it used Wing Attack and spun down the current. A pretty entrance, but this wasn't a contest.
Kisumi spun a pokeball in her hand, and pondered which she would use. The obvious choice was Kai, but she decided that Akito should try this one out. "Alright, Akito!" she said, tossing the ball.
The red flash and a Hoothoot fluttered into the air. It looked more deadly then the Taillow, and it was a lot bigger. But this meant nothing, as the two opponents spun into action.
The Taillow rapidly started darting from side to side, before slamming into his opponent with a Quick Attack. This was an obviously experienced move, as the little bird had the advantage in speed.
The Hoothoot staggered, the little bird had hit harder then expected. But it would be harder for the pokemon, as he swept his wings and prepared to hit with a Wing Attack! The flurry of wind missed by inches, as the smaller bird flew directly over the attack, avoiding it completely.
">That's all you can do?<" the small bird trilled, tauntingly. This time he dove down and slammed his beak into the owl's shoulder, drawing blood. Without waiting for his attack turn, the bird then spun mid-air before slamming into the Hoothoot again with a Quick Attack.
Taking three attacks in a row took a lot of energy, and the owl started falling.
"Alright, finish this with Peck!" the Magma grunt said, grinning. It was obvious that he thought that the battle had been easy, and that he was going to win.
The Taillow soared in close, prepared to slam his beak into the Hoothoot's shoulder once again and end this.
"Now!" Kisumi shouted.
The Hoothoot had been saving his remaining energy as he was falling, and his eyes shot open and he used Confusion as his red eyes gleamed with psychic power.
The Taillow was helpless as it suddenly couldn't focus, making it hard to do anything. Spinning unhappily in circles, the bird was completely vulnerable to any attacks.
Akito then swept forth a powerful Wing Attack and the spinning wind completely caught the little bird. This time its small body made it hard to actually fight against the strong current of the wind and it was helpless. The Hoothoot spun wearily all the way to the top of the wind current, and then gathered the last of his strength. Tucking his wings against his body, he dove down. Faster and faster, the gravity lent him strength as he managed to slam his opponent into the ground with a Take Down attack!
A huge cloud of dust covered the arena, before it slowly began fading. Question who had won? The battle had been intensely close, and the crowd waited impatiently.
Finally the cloud faded, and the Taillow was visible on the ground unconscious. The Hoothoot Akito was standing right next to it, and fluttered his wings briefly. But there was another beak wound on his other shoulder. Seemed that the Taillow had frantically tried to turn the tables around, but wasn't strong enough.
Team Aqua had won both battles, completely dominating over Team Magma.

The Team Magma grunts gritted their teeth in anger, clearly furious that they'd just lost to their rival team. Still, with the crowd gathered, they couldn't exactly bail. "Here," the first said begrudgingly, handing Kail an Expert Belt.
His partner didn't even say anything, merely shoving the Leftovers into Kisumi's hands.
Kail grinned, picking his friend up and swinging her around in a hug. "We did!" he cheered, grinning. He set her down a bit awkwardly, blushing slightly. "Well, I guess be better head back..."
"Guess again!"
A second pair of Team Magma Grunts, taking advantage of the distraction, had snuck up and taken a Pokeball from Kisumi and Kail's belts. Without pausing, they ran off, followed by their teammates.
"Hey, get back here you little-" Kail and Kisumi were running after them, pushing through the crowd. What was going on?
