Actually, Koe, when you cook/boil alcohol, it burns off the intoxicating whatchamacallems, so at least when she's cooking with it, it's not as bad. razz You should just watch old reruns of Julia Child, she almost never used any of that stuff, or expensive things until the years began to wear on. razz

I think Dewey killed himself on purpose, not because he realized his actions were all for nought. You do notice how he "is the world" as he said with that drive in his chest, and also how Eureka and Anemone's necklaces activated. What I think is that even when the command cluster was destroyed, nothing happened except the coralians woke up and the limit of questions wasn't reached. I believe that when Dewey killed himself and Eureka turned all jelly-like, that was the limit of questions being reached. Dewey killed himself for that to happen. (and this paragraph was mainly aimed at Soren.)
Sorry, Kayako. I don't think I have any. I think I sold all the ones I had a long time ago.

I basically agree Rekka. all except one thing. I think the vortex was the limit of questions beginning. Eureka was there.... see episode 50 for what happens next.
as for dewey though... yes. his dying was the final thing needed to make it happen. makes you wonder though. if norbu had still been alive, maybe it would have happened differantly. he could have prevented the limit from being reached.
eh... just pondering..
btw.. kayako has a nice shiny necklace xp one that doesn't come off.

Well it's not that I didn't understand his reasons for doing it so much as I don't understand his reasons for waiting for Holland to appear to do it. If he was trying so desperately to reach the limit of questions or whatever, he could've done that after he destroyed the control cluster, I assume. Waiting for Holland to show up is just so bleedin' arrogant.
But I guess there's no real point in questioning that since it IS a story that's trying to throw in some plot twists and such. razz It's just if you were in Dewey's shoes, you would just kill yourself lickety-split so that Holland couldn't like capture you and keep you from killing yourself, ya know?

He probably wanted to make a big deal about blowing up the nirvash and then goind down and killing himself on the ground, then holland showed up and ruined it for him.
but yeah.. it's not the best plan he ever had... BTW... I think we've killed a way to many cat girls during this discussion. rofl

I don't know....I'm pretty sure he's not making it up though. (I shoulda known. "Excellent"? Who SAYS that??)
I mentioned in a taunting pm that it was weird for him to be in scouts at 17. He mentioned that he aged out of scouts but just got the award-thingy. Then he asked why I thought he was 17.
I said cause we figured he must be somewhere around there because of Gray.
And then he said he was older than that, his character's just younger for...some reason...*alarm bells!* (<--been watching too much CourtTV)
He DID just answer my pm before logging off again. He said he's not as old as Tolly, but he can't tell me his real age. The way he puts it, he's 'within reasonable distance' from mine. (Since he talks about school work I'm thinking 20's....>.<)
When he gets back on, he'll find a pm asking him if he's a cop. SERIOUSLY. Because if he's not all that old but he won't say his age, I figure he must be...
1) A lying turd.
2) A cop, spying on us
3) In the witness protection program
4) Just a paranoid fool.
And I'm still creeped. >.<
