Zero Omega Streamjumper Suyo Streamjumper I remember when Nintendo used to at least have some consideration for their consumers besides thinking of them as walking wallets. I remember when a Revolution didn't constitute a repeat of the last 20 years. The concept, to be totally honest, is somewhat appealing to me... but how can they call their system the "Revolution" if that's one of the "core features"? I only hope that, given time, the Revolution will introduce more features that catch my interest. Wi-Fi online SSB does sound pretty nice, though... sweatdrop I don't follow nintendo platform news enough anymore to know what their whole "revolution" mission statement is... Does it have anything to do with them lacking a single original exclusive franchise that is under 12 years of age, yet managing to tie every ******** meaningful game they produce into these dinosaurs of gaming? I have nothing against the mario franchise, but when you've got Mario ddr, golf, racing, tennis, fighting games, chess, iron chef cooking contests, backgammon, and dogwalking simulators, you've not only jumped the shark but asked him for ride the b***h seat for your next death-defying stunt, asked him for his hand in marriage, and and jointly adopted a southeast asian penguin named Gorgy.... Sometimes you need to let a cast of characters out of the limelight for a few minutes... Y'know, let the nostalgia build up a bit... Nobody knows the real "revolutionary" part of the Revolution yet. Rumors are going around that it will be announced tonight or tomorrow in a second press conference. Personally, I'm hoping it will be announced but I'm starting to have my doubts. Most of that isn't even about the Revolution... more about my beefs with beating two or three franchises to death. If they paid more attention to newer franchises I'd respect them more. All the ten million Mario titles might be great names, but I'm really getting sick of that goddamn face looking back at me from almost everything they make.

Shoujo Phoenix Phoenix315 Shoujo Phoenix Speaking of drawings and such...whatever happened to Yaten? She decided to come back on her mule, but...disappeared again. No idea. She was playing RO on the aforementioned server a lot, but I've had to stop playing and concentrate on finals lately.I uninstalled RO a few days ago. sweatdrop Natsume told me liv3 left...no point for me to go back. He also told me Koyomi is back but is being an a*****e. Nat still plays though, and I feel bad leaving him. All those times he tanked me in Niff...and killed himself with GC in town...and at a wedding pre-main server wipe. I miss those time so much. Back in Crusade. -sigh- sad heart liv3 crying I still have it, I just haven't had the time/motivation to get on.

Streamjumper Zero Omega Streamjumper I amuses me greatly that people are already bitching about how the PS3 design looks like a printer or answering machine. Lol, internets. Well it does look like a George Foreman grill. oo; *saw a comparison picture the other day ago* Oh, I'll admit that it does... I've actually seen knockoffs in a similar silvery color... But saying that you're not gonna get a system because it looks like that? Besides, Bosse, one of the finest stereo companies out there, has household cd sound systems that look just like that... and nobody whines about that. Oh no, I hold interest in the Playstation 3, MGS4 grabbed my attention. I'm just pointing out it look like a grill, along with the Revo looking like a hard drive. oO;

Zero Omega Streamjumper Suyo Funny enough about your reference to dogwalking simulators, which I am going to assume you were joking about... ever heard of Nintendogs? No. I'm not ******** with you. They're making this game. While this game might not have the direct involvement of any of Nintendo's franchise characters... but from what I saw, you can give your dogs stuff, and teach them tricks related to each one. Thank you for giving me something to toss in the face of the next rabid Nintendo fanboy when they rant about the ultimate superiority of their system. I love how they don't seem to realize that the Nintendo is currently the sytem most observant of classic gaming conventions... and fail to notice that its because they're milking them for all they're worth, without a concern for killing em in the process. Yet, this game is selling (in Japan) more than the PS2, PSP, Gamecube, and X-Box put together. Will it sell that well in America? Maybe, maybe not. While Nintendo may be using classic characters for games they're finding new ways to play the games, let's take Wario for instance. You had Wario Ware, then you had touch screen Wario, now you have gyroscope Wario. I'm in the american consumer base, and s**t like this is what kept me from getting a cube when they dropped to 99$. Maybe I'm a little spoiled by a massive library, but when I actually have to be concerned about the potential of not seeing more than one or two games I'd be willing to buy the system for in a single year, I consider that 50$ per game I'd be willing to play just for the system alone, then I can't make the room in my budget. That $200 (system and two games) would be better spent picking up 4-5 of the 10-15 games that I want for a system I had more faith in. Still beating us over the head with a single franchise... I come from the old school of gaming (bought a nes when they first came out with money from my own paper route, had a colecovision and several ataris before that) and appreciate a nod to the older titles here and there as well as prefer overall gameplay and storyline over pretty pictures, but I don't want to see characters from 20 years ago staring at me nearly as often as Nintendo wants me to. I remember gyroscopic controlers, I remember motion sensing controllers, I remember bizarre ultra-specialized controllers, kudos to those who enjoy them, but it seems like nintendo is hanging their hat on them. No thanks, and a lot of my generation of gamers (the target group with the most money and greatest willingness to spend it) feels the same way I do. Not all of us, but enough to warrant a second thought to what seems like a trend towards "innovation" that shamed itself some time ago.
