Earendil opened the tower door for them and led them all through, then started up the stairs. "I don't know," he murmured doubtfully once again. "It's really dangerous ... not to mention, it's hard to get there if you're not used to it."
He grew silent, thoughtful, as he headed up the stairs.

"Well, I would try very hard," Lin replied back as if that was the most simple answer.
The danger part went over her head, there was always a bit of danger, and what was life without a bit of danger? How was she suppose to learn anything if everything was safe?

Earendil frowned. She could try all she wished, but the stairs to the top of the mountain were steep, and each one was as tall as she was. He very seriously doubted she could make it up one step, let alone over a mile of steps nearly straight up.
Well, perhaps if he took her in the morning, she would realize when she saw the steps exactly how difficult it would be for her.
"I'll think about it, all right?" he said finally. "But I'm not making any promises."
Valar knew, if he did bring her up there, he would be breaking just about every rule that had been hammered into his brain since he himself had first started training.

"Okay...." Lin relented, though she could see that there was a good chance he wouldn't let her come up.
She would try anyways, whether or not he was going to be there she was going to try for certain.

Earendil led them out of the tower and towards the room that they would be sharing (since neither was big enough for a room of their own, and a pet wouldn't get one anyways), his thoughts still swirling. He really shouldn't bring them ... well, definitely not Nina. Lin ... shouldn't.
He stopped at a door and opened it for them and let them go in first. "In here," he told them.

Nina poked her head in first, looking around, it was a big room at least to her, but she wasn't that big to begin with. For Lin though, someone who was smaller than even Nina was huge. She saw potential though in the bed... this could be fun.
It was like getting a small house to one's self, at least for Lin, had she been one of those children to do play house.

It was a children's bedroom, and had in fact been Earendil's at one point in time. The bed was the proper size for an elvish child of about ten years, but, as Tinuviel was living proof, that could mean the size of an adult in Gaian terms. Still, it was a smaller bed than usual, though it was still the same style, that is, canopy. It also had the usual bedside table, desk, chair, couch, closet, wardrobe, mirror and vanity, washbasin, and a door to an ensuite bathing chamber.
"Think you'll be comfortable in here?" Earendil asked, looking around and seeing that it was ready for guests. The blankets on the bed, a beautiful dark blue, had been turned back and the bed freshly sheeted.

Lin nodded slowly looking around, there were so many places to look, but she would need Nina's help getting to other places it wasn't exactly Second surprise stage friendly.
"Lots of room," Lin replied back peeking around all the furniture.

"To be fair," Earendil chuckled, "I think I can honestly say we've never had anyone your size here before."
She was after all barely half the size of a newborn baby!
"Anyways, I have to go," he told her with a nod. "Be up early and all that. Anything you need before I go?"

Lin shook her head, "I'm big enough, I can handle myself."
Well big as being a matter of opinion, but Lin liked to handle things herself.

Earendil was tempted to chuckle at her comment, but he had a sense that it might not be such a good idea. Instead, he just bowed his head as if she were some visiting nobility (which, being his aunt's adoptive sister, she was in his eyes) and headed out the door backwards, head still bowed.
"As you wish," he murmured, closing the door and leaving her alone.
It was only once he was back in the safety of his own bedchambers that he allowed himself a small laugh.

Lin, fortunately was just as practical as Donovan in some aspects, which meant bathing and getting clothed and clean was a big thing. Though she found her bathtub (it was a swimming pool or a small lake to her), was big enough to swim in. She sat on the steps to take her bath, but wondered if she could swim if she would swim across.
She needed Nina's help to get to a mirror so she could comb her hair and even to get onto her bed. Normally such a big bed was a problem, but Lin had come prepared, with her dolls. She had her cute blue haired zombie doll (didn't really look like a zombie to Lin, it looked like a ghost), and her ghost wishing doll (reminded her of her brother), and her papa doll, ( which is took from her mother's room).
Lin wished she had a mama doll too, perhaps one day she thought she would get someone to get her a mama doll. Still, three dolls weren't bad, and it was with those dolls she fell asleep.

Long before the sun rose in the east, before even the first rays reached the horizon, Nadya was sitting outside on the porch of the house, fully dressed, staring absently at the moon. She had been woken by a vision ... which was unusual. Nighttime visions normally let her sleep, though she was fully aware of what she was seeing. But for some reason, this one woke her from her slumber ...
Perhaps it was because of its importance. Perhaps she had woken herself, and it hadn't been the vision at all. But whichever it was, there she sat as if mesmerized, paying attention to nothing but her thoughts.

Earendil woke early as he had been trained to do and bathed himself before dressing and putting on his weapons. Despite being in the middle of a scorching desert, when the sun was down it was still cold - very cold, he might add - so he threw on his cloak as well. Without bothering to get something to eat, which he never did before morning training, he slipped out of his room and headed towards the stairs.
Once outside, he looked at the horizon. Up on the mountain top, the sun rose earlier than anywhere else, and he judged that he had about half an hour before the sun would rise. With that in mind, he started up the path that led to the long and (for most) exhausting climb up the mountain.

Triton was beginning to stir in bed as he blinked for a moment, his tail wrapping itself firmly around his waist. He stretched for a bit, but only enough so he could roll out of bed without feeling like he was going to crack something. It wasn't that Triton was getting old, he didn't even know he could get old after he finished growing, but there were times his bones would stil lcrack and his skin would stretch, but he blamed that on all the trouble he got into as a child.
