Jak made his way slowly through the woods in the direction of the pond, intent only on finding peace in the quiet water. Jolting to a stop as he caught sight of her, he could only stare as she sat at the edge.

Lacuna wiped a tear away and with a deep exhale allowed herself to slip into the cool water. When she reached the surface of the water she swung her hair back and allowed herself to stay afloat of the pond, watching the stars in thought.

Jak dropped to the ground, watching silently,not wanting to startle her off.

Lacuna dipped her head back under the water to wetten her hair once more and with a sigh she hummed, trying to calm her sniffling and control her breathing regularity. Lacuna played with the sparks from her fingertips, changing the alignment of the stars and with a snap she watched them shift back to their original state.

Jak studied her silently for a few minutes. Coming to a decision, he pulled off his boots, slipping his jacket off before wading out into the pond. He swam out beside her, a light touch letting her know she wasnt alone. "Angel.."

Lacuna trembled at the touch and felt her heart drop at the sound of Jakkin's voice. Taking a deep breath Lacuna gathered what she could of herself and nodded.
"..Jakkin..?", she said a bit shocked by his presence.

Jak drew a shaky breath, looping an arm about her waist. "Please love....talk to me. You know you owe me an explanation." He pulled her closer to shore, helping her to her feet near the edge.

Lacuna pulled herself out of the water, aided by Jakkin and bowed her head in shame.
"Yes.. I suppose I do.. I just can't seem to find a happy p..place.. and stay ther.. there..", she managed to say through her shivers. "I just.. just don't think th.. that maybe, I'm suppose to be w.. with anyone, not the m..mention two people..", she said.

Jak moved to pick up his jacket, draping it over her shoulders then pulling her into his arms. He gazed down at her, cupping her cheek as he forced his fear down. "Tell me you dont love me...that this isnt right." His lips lightly grazed hers as he searched her eyes for the truth.

Lacuna threw her arms around Jakkin tightly and threw a river of tears that streamed down her cheeks she spoke, "It just doesn't feel like it's suppose to Jakkin.. Something isn't right.. Is it just me..?",

Brushing her tears away with his palm, he held her close, resting his cheek on her hair.
He held her quietly for a few moments before he spoke, a shudder going through his body."How is it supposed to feel? Our time together felt pretty damn good to me."

Lacuna bowed her head and nodded, "Yes.. It did.. does..", she said, "I just.. I can't.. love..", she paused for a moment and sighed, "Suru...", she whined. "I've tried to love Suru.. I just.. I just can't.. and you wo are so perfect together.. it's not right.."

Jak loosened his hold on her, tipping her chin up to meet his eyes. "Please dont do this angel..I've seen the way you look at him when you're together. You cant give that up."

Lacuna gave a stern look and a sigh, "No.. from the beginning, I never loved Suru, he was just.. someone that made me feel better at the time. Jakkin, I used Suru.. I used him to get to you.. and for it I can't even describe how sorry I am.. I can't keep doing this though.." Lacuna chuckled sarcastically, "I was born and equipped without a heart.."
