*Nana remembered Thanatos' tail of meeting and fighting with Gabriel. The boy had received several hugs for a while after returning home. Gabriel was a frightening enemy to have, Nana herself feared him for other reasons. Thanatos' comments on covering up the smell of blood would receive a 'hnn' response from Nana, whom was quickly liking this place less and less the further in they went*
Hnn...

A beautiful giant crystal chandelier captured and redistributed the light in the room, it was centered above the old battle arena. Looking up, there seemed to be another level yet where guests could talk and mingle. It was farther back from the arena, only a fifth of the area could be seen from there. There was a doorway, arched, and a small balchony. This was a likely location for The Count to appear from and introduce himself.

"So do you believe Dom may be this count we are supposed to meet?" Mastema inquired again, doubting that Than would be so calm if he believed Dom was actually the one they were going to meet.
"This is far too lacking in flare to be Dom's work. He's more entertained by using others as tools, and this doesn't have the feel of the last two stunts he's pulled." Than still didn't really like the whole situation. Was the Count really so unpopular as to have only one of his invited locations show up? "I'd be able to tell more about him if the guy was actually around."
"So it seems," Mastema replied. It was a nice, but empty room.

*Dom was someone else Nana was unfamiliar with, well actually most of the people save for Gabriel were unknown to Nana. Lets face it, she didn't get out much. At the very least Thanatos didn't think this Count was any of the dangerous people he had met so far. That didn't mean he wasn't dangerous though; they would just have to see once he showed himself*
.____. It looks like we're the first ones here. So-- I guess we talk amongst ourselves, and enjoy the music for a bit until someone else shows up.

KB would stumble towards the door quickly, unwittingly jumbling the invitation from hand to hand as he dodged a moth. "Ack!" He squealed even as he backstepped, barely catching his balance before righting himself and flicking back his bangs. The youthful, ditsy blonde seemed hardly the warlord or whatnot people spoke of, a blush burning in his cheeks as he tugged his shirt. His uniform was obviously of some military origin, red, liberally embroidered with gold. Though it carried the traditional handiness of something Naval-related, it lacked any medals or insignias of rank.
On the matching black belt he had a finely-crafted and decorated sword, looked to be a sabre. His left hand rested on the hilt of the thing idly as he approached the door, left brow twitching in nervousness as the right-hand rubbed the invitation. He took a deep breath and tried to compose himself, to little avail.

From a distance came the sound of hoofbeats, they were a steady staccato sound that built rapidly though there was for a time no sign of the group approaching. After several minutes a long procession came into sight yet even as it moved forward revealing a line of sixty horseman riding three abreast with cloaks and cowls hiding their features even as the wind of the ride lifted the backs to trail and show off a sable armor that blended well with sword scabbards decorated in ebony wood somehow fused naturally with cherry wood to form graceful tribal patterns of red and black unique to each rider. After the riders was a carriage being pulled by a single horse that actually possessed six legs and a massive body with far more muscle than a normal horse and unshod hooves that sparked against stone as it ran. Atop the carriage was a single battle scarred man who none the less was very well dressed alluding to his position as a man servant even as his face and hands suggested that he was a warrior. Black velvet curtains hid the occupant as a line of thirty horseman trailed behind the carriage carrying black lances tipped with silver and shields that had silver and black designs on a crimson backing to represent various animals as the rest of their bodies remained hidden. The carriage procession stopped near the entrance and the man atop the carriage dismounted and opened the door with a bow. As he did a set of stairs parted from the door and lowered itself as a lithe man, stooped as though by age descended slowly. The battle scarred man servant nodded as the man passed him as though something had been said before lifting the stairs back up and closing the door. As the man servant moved, it was shown that the reason he was no longer a warrior was two fold, the first was that he had a lame left leg which was far from fully functional, the second was that only his thumb and pointer remained on his left hand while the other fingers were missing.
The lithe man moved forward, pushing back a hood to reveal an aged face with eyes that were a soft brown as he smiled a nearly toothless grin and held up an invitation. He coughed softly saying, I must apologize for not properly announcing my interest in attending, I am called Ratsu, a healer from a mercenary company known as the shadow riders. I have been sent to offer good wishes from the head of the company. The man coughed softly as though the long speech had taken a toll on his lungs but otherwise seemed healthy. Depending on the extent of the mystical or technological monitoring devices in the area he would be shown as a humanoid with slightly above average magical reserves, multiple souls, and an odd DNA structure which suggested some alteration or mutation either had or was occuring. His breathing was soft and his movements slow but he appeared largely healthy. He removed an eating knife with a silver and black handle from his belt and held it out hilt first as an offering of his only weapon. The only other oddity about the man lay in how he appeared in reflections, in reflections his eyes flashed red and gold though he was careful to avert his face from reflective surfaces.

Sai casually made her way to the temples doors as she hed her invitation at hand. she made sure her dress wasn'y ruined or strained as she rechecked the bow. she entered as she glanced around looking to see if anyone else was there. her blue eyes remained on the invitation as she tucked it into her upper strap by her chest until someone asked for it. her gunalet hand was appearing normal as she created the illusion for it to be a normal hand with white gloves.

Spotting the new arrivals Bertuccio would welcome them as he had with the first visitors. "Welcome. May I see your invitations? If you have any weapons on your persons, please leave them with my colleague Baptistain. If they are part of your bodies, please deactivate them while inside." Baptistain would poke his head out the door to see who was here next, while Bertuccio would nod to the guests. "Also, may I have your names and where you are from, for the announcing?".

The aged man bowed to Bertuccio and said softly, I am Ratsu, healer of the shadow riders. I come from the lands beyond the forest. As the man bowed it showed respect but was not so overly exaggerated as was often the fashion of nobles. If anything it was done as a man familiar with nobility but neither high ranking nor low enough to seek to impress a host. The gentle brown eyes were averted away from the knife as it was given to Baptistain and he moved to the door prepared to enter when notified. He also presented the invitation in his other hand, there was an odd mark near the left corner as though a bird had bitten at it with their beak.

Bertuccio would bow his head slightly to Ratsu, then turned to announce his arrival, while he handed his weapon to Baptistain. "Introducing-- Ratsu of the shadow riders, from the lands beyond the forest." With his invitation received and his weapons handed over, the man was allowed entry. There seemed to be movement ahead, there were others already inside.

The older man made his way calmly inside, eyes scanning his surroundings like an old soldier and from what little he had already said he was likely a combat medic instead of a simple healer. His body lacked scars yet his white hair stood in stark contrast to his sun darkened skin and black garments. He was careful to avert his eyes from reflections to insure that he did not give away the unusual nature of his eyes or force himself to see his true appearance. Some things were unpleasant at certain times and as Ratsu was all too well aware, seeing himself often affected his self image which was a dangerous game to say the least. He smiled as he looked around wondering if he would encounter familiar faces though they would not recognize him. It was a unique occurance but just as none had gotten an oppurtunity to study him closely, he had never had an oppurtunity to vivasect any of them. He smiled as he remembered a few encounters from what seemed to be so long ago, back before he had awakened and remembered just what he was and why he existed. It was interesting the myriad delusions and dreams he had been through before the awakening and now it was time and past to reenter the world anew. Though far from being a pheonix or a lich, he was instead a very different entity. He had yet to decide on his purpose in these lands or if he would remain, but at the very least he could have a few fights over time to see how his strength compared to other powerful beings. He was not like any of them, to assume such would be a mistake on the part of any and all parties involved. Whether they were holy, unholy, heavenly, earthly, or hellish, they were not the same as him. Perhaps some were similar but by his birth and that of all before him he was marked as different. At least in so far as he knew, it did seem that cannibals were as rare as shapeshifters and demons as common as weapons. He smiled, should he assume his natural form he would be far from human and not truly demonic yet the energy of that was not simply masked or sealed but altered so for now he was a mere human with a few unique qualities.
Ratsu smiled as he entered the stage proper and turned slowly looking at those around him before making his way slowly to the refreshment table where he casually and gracefully took a goblet of fruit punch that possessed a pungent scent that marked it as being on the verge of fermentation. It promised higher sugar content without the impairment of alcohol and that was his preference as he sipped the cool juice slowly while turning to regard the room. His eyes paused for a moment on each person as he consulted his prior memories to match entities he knew and mark those he did not. Within his body a complex digestive process had already begun, far from natural digestion none of the juice ever reached his stomach and instead was absorbed directly by his blood stream as it flowed down his throat. It was then broken down by trace amounts of magical energy that directly absorbed every molecule and reconfigured them into various compounds which were put into direct use by cells without waste being formed.

*The twice Royal Duo enter the gala, they hand off their invitation and Griffin doesn’t wait for an announcement or welcome, he would never bring weapons to a simple party. The two descend on to the floor with equal grace, Bell is calm and already in the mood for a party, while Griffin is looking rather stiff in his fine tux, his collar pulled up around his chin. Instead of a tie Griffin has the twice royal symbol as a brooch to a frill descending down his chest; Bell is in a simple white gown with a simple tiara to show her status. Griffin on the other hand took a more subtle approach to his status symbol and wore an elegant blue sash from shoulder to hip. Bell has her hand draped in his as her brother escorts her into the room.*

Bertuccio had been at The Count's side when meeting Griffin in Twice Royal so he know who he was, as well as Bell. After they had passed and made their way in, Bertuccio would make an announcement. It should reach the ears of those in attendance just before the pair arrived in the main room. "Ah-- er... um... *ahem* Introducing Lord Griffin and Lady Bell from Twice Royal."

*It looked like there were finally more people arriving. This Count person wasn't so unpopular afterall. Kaiori's children were even there; Nana would look to the doorway where the new arrivals seemed to be coming from. Young, old, the age group seemed to vary a bit but overall it was becoming more interesting. Twice Royal? Where was that from the Citadel? Was it a city too? If Nana gainned a little courage, perhaps she would attempt to speak with Bell and Griffin later?*

It looks like we're not alone anymore, hmm?

"Well, I guess I won't be completely bored stiff then." Than tossed his head to the side. Ratsu wasn't a person of interest to him, having never met the man. But there were definitely more parties arriving. Than was hoping that a few of the people who he'd been away from this last year. And now Griffin and Bell had arrived. Than would have to try his hardest not to let his already strong distaste of what he knew of Griffin get in the way. Perhaps meeting the man himself would prove beneficial.
"Well it's about time...." Than said loudly as the duo entered, before turning his head back to the rest of the room, not making it clear whether he was talking to himself or the royal twins.
