"Oh hi Joey....I was just thinking about what happened earlier," Yugi sighed heavily. "I can't imagine Yami hurting anyone like that....and well....before Yuri was sent away, she'd never hurt anyone...let alone kill anyone," he shook his head and stood up.
Yuri sat on a bench near the pool waiting for the others. There was no use even trying to hide herself since she was quite sure the teacher would make her get into the water and to do that, you really couldn't have anything covering you up. "Come on...let's just get this over with," she sighed to herself.

Naomi walked out to the pool and waited for the rest of the class to come out. She thought it was funny that Janus was trying to hid herself. The teachers would make her take that towel off or they would push her in the water. Which ever came first. She saw Yuri sitting on a bench. She saw the scars but decided not to ask.
"Hey Yuri," she said as she approached, flinging the towel over her shoulder.

Joey stood up, walking with Yugi out to the gym, heading toward the pool. "I dunno about Yami, but Yuri had to protect herself. That's how she grew up I guess, always defending herself. And I know I believe her when she said that man attacked her. If she didn't do what she did, then I'd hate to say what would've happened. But Yug, she needs to know that we're here for her ok? I'm here for her too," Joey tried to comfort him, it's been tough recently. And today was, strange to say the least.
Janus waved to Yuri, "Hello." She then looked at the water and commented, "This is new, our never had this." She then looked up at the ceiling in a daze, "Sure takes the fun outta swimming...."

Shiro watched the others intently, but refused to go swimming... He had an unnatural fear of drowning, thanks to an earlier crisis in his life. He simply sat around and thought of ways to deal with himself.

Janus glanced over to see Shiro. She looked away and whispered to Naomi, "Do you now that kid over there? His name is Shiro." She wanted to know who he was- it was strange to see him get up like that before, when he was so weak. It boggled her mind, this whole school did.

Naomi looked at the guy Janus had pointed out. She shook her head. "Shiro, eh?" She tapped her chin, thinking for a moment before saying, "I might have heard his name around here before. I know he's pretty quiet and is a foster kid. Or at least that's what I've heard."

Janus nodded, "Oh, ok." Seemed pretty normal. Then she thought more about it. Yugi is quiet too, but look what happened...... she was still a bit shaken up about it, but she was holding up.

"Why, did something happen?" She asked. Janus seemed a bit cautious about certain things. She must of had a run in with Shiro or something. But the guy seemed the type to not hurt a fly.

Janus figured she could tell Naomi, "I saw a boy, floating in the creek during first period. I got scared and went over to pull him out- it was him." She then thought of something, "You don't think, a bully did something. You know..., like beat him up and leave him there." That was the only reasoning she could think of. Little did she know, she was far from the truth.

Naomi shrugged. "Might have been." she replied. Bullies were known for that. They didn't seem to care about anything. Than again, they were bullies. A bunch of momma's boys who were picked on the weak because they didn't have the balls to pick on anyone else. She yawned. "They are known for that."

He stood up and stretched his arms. Yawning, he sat back down and pulled something from his pocket. It was a melted candy bar...

"Hi," Yuri muttered as she glanced at the water and then to Janus. "I wouldn't really know to be honest," she stated and then just shrugged nonchallantly. She couldn't remember if she had fun or not, swimming had always been some type of training excercise for her.
Yugi nodded and sighed heavily. "I know Joey....it's like she won't accept help from anyone," he stated as he saw his sister sitting on the bench. He stopped as he saw the scars and decided now wasn't the best of times to bring it up. Reluctantly he began to walk again and tried to change the subject. "So...what else do you think will happen today?"

Janus saw Yugi come out of the locker room, her stomach twisted, remembering what happened prior. She didn't know what to think about him. She thought he was an ok kid, now she actually didn't want anything to do with him. Her face went pale when seeing him, she turned her head away- not making eye contact- pretending she wasn't there.
Joey followed Yugi to where the girls were. "I wouldn't be surprised if Godzilla attacked the school." He approached the girls, "Hey ladies," he joked around. He looked at Yuri- and being the big mouth that Joey was opened his mouth and said, "Yuri are you ok? The marks on your back look like they hurt."
Janus gave Joey a strange look, as if she was saying, 'Um.... a bit personal? Duh?' She didn't mention it cause she figured it was a touchy subject. Besides, she didn't like it when people took notice to her scars. She quickly turned her head back.

Both Yugi and Yuri cringed when Joey had said something about her scars. Finally, she turned around when she was certain she would be able to hold her tongue. "It's nothing Joey....just battle scars," she lied quickly. 'What the hell was that?' she mentally scolded herself. "And they don't hurt ....never did. Pain has always been mind over matter, if you don't mind, it doesn't matter," she said with a somewhat fake smile.
"Well she was always clumsy," Yugi chimed in and cringed again, knowing Yuri would defend herself on that one.
"Have you lost your mind? I've never been clumsy a day in my life....well other when I was drunk, but that doesn't count, I was incapasitated," she snapped.
"You were...um...nevermind...let's just drop it," Yugi sighed. He didn't want to start an argument with his sister....at least not here.
