Akkad` AGREEDThough the GC controller would feel right, knowing I've spent so many years playing Melee, this should feel easy to use. well this we wont know until release. which is going to be some months ahead.

You all adapt fine to control schemes, you only don't want this change because it'll put you on a somewhat level playing field with newbies. It could work, and it could work well, and you could like the control scheme more than you like the GCN one. I kinda hope they put some kind of Wii controls into it, or else it might as well be on the 360, to be honest, because it'd have better online play and more polish.

I kinda hope they put some kind of Wii controls into it, or else it might as well be on the 360, to be honest, because it'd have better online play and more polish. um, im sure there will be wiimote physics involved. but i also want the option to be able to use a gamecube remote. but just because an old system controller is used (maybe; saying if so) does'nt mean the game itself should be on a whole different system [/sarcasm] its all in stature, and how comfortable you are with something. once again, everyone is going to have ideas of what they want. and from what it sounds if we cant have our gamecube controller option we might as well have are classic remote style

The Wiimote (plus nunchuck) Is mostly just like cracking a NGC controller in half.
Except with different trigger spots.
Sure N64 -> NGC was easy.
If your used to the Wii controllers, than it will be fine.

To be honest?
I don't want the control scheme to change because I like it the way it is. I play super smash bros because I like lots of stuff about it -- including the control scheme.
If they want to go all "innovative" on us, then they should make a new fighting series and be innovative there. But I buy super smash because I want to play super smash, like the way it always was.

A player should have a choice whether to use whatever controller they wish, each controller having its own control scheme.
