And just the fact that person that they hit may possibly be the protected, that attack therefore has no meaning, since the person under the protection of the priest is probably a random person at this stage. The person they hit may as well be a roleless townie.
(And if it's the feral, good riddance.)
@Previous thing: What else can they do? Convince people to vote the accuser off, being very conspicuous while they do it?
@TOWNIES IN GENERAL: VOICE YOUR OPINIONS.

With the addition of the psycic wolf, if less than three people vote, it's almost giving a free choice of who to lynch to the wolves. It is in the townie's best interest to vote and voice their opinions.
The roleless townies are meatshields while the seer, invinci-townie and the other roled classes to form sturdy alliances, and they will be able to root out the wolves and win.

They can be invaluable to the roles as well.
