"Nnnprblm..." We`rika mumbled with half the cookie stuffed into his face and-- what the ********.. was this paper?! "..... Ew" Pulling out the piece of paper, he looked up at Ravi, taking another bite out of his sweet potato. "Well... " He started "It's been.......... interesting... " He smiled wolfishly. "Seeyah..."
With that, the Huichol left Ravi for his car.

Niksia nearly gets bumped into by the mass of trays and Kyoupiruchi just as she's leaving. Catching one that looks about to fall, she twirls back around to leave and smiles to herself.
With her new plushie tucked under one arm, she snaps open the oversized cookie as she walks away.

With We`rika's abrupt departure, Ravi found himself standing alone yet again. He wanted to roll his eyes or otherwise show annoyance at the man's tactless actions, but in actuality, there were really no words. We`rika merely was who he was, and Ravi just happened to be... different. Better not to use "better." Ravi should work on that arrogance of his... shouldn't he?
Ravi glanced down to his broken cookie to find a thin paper slip within it. Its quote drew the scholar's mouth into a wide, sardonic smirk. Ravi always took a condescending attitude towards these optomistic messages you'd find in cookies, on posters, or elsewhere. A day wasn't wasted if it lacked laughter. It was only wasted if something wasn't learned. Why let the mind decline when you could let it grow?
Smiling was just muscle movement. Ravi worked out regularly. His muscles were quite fine, if he did say so himself.
After finishing the baked good, Ravi looked down at his leather bag. The bottles! Everything was still intact, and as far as he could tell, no soul had been trapped inside the soul bottle. He glanced at the fel essence and, upon eyeing the mistletoe's red berries, he felt a discomforting shiver run up and down his back. Guhh! He quickly dropped the flap on the bag and closed it once more. He should get home already so he could keep these things safe...
Ravi hadn't met many people. He'd spotted Chloe, though they hadn't really talked, and then there was that man, We`rika... well, he'd be visiting the Lab again soon, anyway. Perhaps later he'd have his exclusive interviews, but right now, the redhead was exhausted.
It'd be a long walk, but he'd best start now... a few more hours and Bast might claw her way through the walls.

While all the rest of the party was happening, a worried Isi noticed that his frei was missing. Panicked, he immediately stopped everything he was doing and spun around on his heel, looking with worried grey eyes for the missing Eirdirsceol. He spotted Rivener and Aphi and they looked like they were about ready to leave. Isi was hoping that Eiry's minty form would be seen nearby them, but there wasn't the slightest inkling of the wispy frei.
"Eiry?" the boy asked, raising his voice higher and higher each time, "Eiry? Where are you? Where'd you go?" Isi hobbled about from booth to booth, checking each corner and crevase for the missing raevan with panicked eyes. What had happened? He was fine and with Rivener just a minute ago! Where could Eiry have gone? Checking everywhere, the boy barely had enough time to think about asking anyone questions, before he caught sight of the tunnel of love. Perhaps in there? Maybe he got frightened and tried to hide? Worried and still calling the frei's name, Isi ventured into the tunnel of love.
It was dark and it didn't seem like the ride was working anymore, so Isi had to hobble carefully along the sides where a dark pathway hugged the sides of the walls.
Suddenly he heard a soft cry from up ahead.
"Eiry?" Isi called, eyes widening in the pitch black. That sounded like him. Hopefuly and scared, the crippled boy cried again, "Eirdirsceol! Where are you?"
There was another cry and then the sound of a splash.
Isi screeched, "EIRY!" Wildly hobbling as fast as he could and sometimes even running in between swings of his arms, Isi bolted blindly through the dark of the tunnel and soon saw the soft glow of a familiar rune. There, in the graveyard, was young Eiry delightedly tossing stones from the graveyard into the water and listening to the sound of them plop in the water. He giggled at the sounds and tossed them in at a sequence that almost sounded like a song. He had his plushie doll tucked under his arm and held him close to his chest so that he didn't drop him.
After he had followed Rivner in, the lights suddenly dimmed out into nothing and he found himself trapped in the graveyard, too scared to move. His thoughts on following Riv and Roux were utterly wiped away. After a while, Eiry came to the terms with the darkness and floated about humming songs to himself. Then he discovered the water in which the boat had floated through and he began dropping things into it. That's when Isi found him.
Looking up, Eiry grinned at his uncle and smiled, "Hi, Uncle Isi."
"Dammit, Eirdirsceol!" Isi scolded, raising his voice and furrowing his brows as he hurriedly stumbled closer, "What have I told you? You don't ever EVER wander away from your brother or me, understa-AGHH!"
SPLASH
"Uncle?" Eiry asked, his red eyes widening and watching the water where his guardian had fell into."It's not bathtime."
Coughing and spluttering, Isi pulled himself up from the swallow water and stood, dripping knee deep in the cold water. Lucky for Isi, it was snowing outside and there was a long long way to go back to his home and he couldn't take a car home. It was then when he looked down at his lcothes did he realize that he had just gotten Chloe's labcoat all wet. He had to walk because Eiry was terrified of cars. Shaking himself off as best as he could, Isi sighed heavily. All his worried anger had been washed away by the cold water. Carefully clamboring up onto the side again, the crippled boy fixed his crutches underneath him again and hobbled over to Eiry who was hovering nearby.
"Come on," he said tiredly, "Let's go home. I'll have a talk with you later."
"I did something wrong?" asked Eiry sadly as he floated up and beside the drenched boy. He tilted his head down and knitted his brows at Isi who returned the look with a frown of his own.
"You frightened me. I thought you were lost and hurt," Isi explained tiredly as he began leading Eiry out f the tunnel of love.
Eiry mused and played with the muscle son his face, "But I not was. I...wasn't."
"I know but I was still worried," said Isi, stepping out. "Come on, let's hurry up and get home."

Vyn's straightened up a little, her eyes narrowing sharply at Rivener's harsh tone. She didn't do anything wrong, what was he being so snappy for? Unaware that her shadow was now flickering erractically in response to the small simmering pressure she felt building in her chest, the rosy rune that compromised Vyn's center dimmed substantially, making the normally strikingly-colored Shadow Frei appear much more dark and forboding than usual. Long slender fingers curled and uncurled unconsiously, and Vyn's full rosy lips tightened into a thin line.
However, whatever action the miffed Shadow Raevan might have done next was quickly reduced to obscurity as a familiar voice rang out.
"--There you are." Three words grated out of a grumpy, just-got-off-work Shuura, the sourness belying her voice a clear indication that the scowling teenager harbored a deep reluctance on returning to this place. Shuura honestly didn't want to come back here just to pick up Vyn again, but as Vyn was probably too stupid to find her own way back home alone there was no avoiding it. At least there were free cookies! The sharp-eyed girl had spotted a tray earlier and had nabbed two of the cookie treats in passing, and now tossed one to Vyn, who looked at it, confused.
"Let's go already," the impatient teen prompted, breaking open her cookie and taking a large irreverent bite out of it. Upon seeing Vyn's lingering gaze on the small Gwee, she sharply came out with: "Don't even THINK about it, unless you want to come to work with me next time to earn money to feed all your pets yourself. Do you have any idea how much that green fizz of a twerp eats for a tiny noisy thing that lives in a hobo soda bottle??!"
With a bit of disappointment, Vyn fumbled a little bit with the huge baked treat before breaking it cleanly in half. Setting half of the cookie down on the table as she found the smell rather unpleasing, Vyn was nonetheless unable to resist giving the other half of it to the little draconet before floating after Shuura and out of the festival, glancing back over her shoulder at the colorful but gradually dispersing crowd.
