yeah.... here... tell you what... ::looking around quickly, he finds a bench and scoops her up gently, carries her over to the bench and sets her down:: just sit tight, alright? i'll get your things... :;and he goes to catch the flying papers, rather good at it for some reason::
eek i meant why she was flirting with you.... and of course i care about you! ::firmly:: you're my best friend! why wouldn't i care about you?

Hikari's blush once again deepend as Ian picked her up. She melted in his arms and was thankful he was hlding her otherwise....she would've fallen again. AS Ian sat her down then went to get her papers Hikari protested but it was too late. Ian already went to go get her papers. She just stayed at the bench as Ian went to go get her papers as he did a smile was on her face. A dreamy smile to be more exact with dreamy eyes.

Cain shrugged, not feeling like pointing out who his best friend used to be. He was looking at the table but then looked up at her, a sad look on his face. "Just best friends? Is that all we'll ever be?" he whispered, talking more to himself than her.

::after gathering all the papers together, he plops down on the bench beside her, tired:: geez.... windy day... ::half heartedly joking:: think i got 'em all though

Kari turned to Ian. Still her smile was on her face. "Thanks, but I could've helped you, you know. But thank you none the less. " she replied politly. Her blush slowly going away.

Cain blinked and then covered his mouth. "I didn't mean for you to hear me, I was kind of talking to myself." he said, blushing profusely. "But, maybe I would like to be more than friends." he said, looking down at the table. He had never really liked a girl before so it was a bit awkward for him.

::Ian noticed the lack of blush, but decided not to point it out. it was a sign she was getting used to him... that was good. espcially since he had every intention of getting to know this girl more...:: it's no problem. i needed some exercise today anyway ::he says jokingly::

kari laughed a little at Ian's joke, while tuckering some of her hair behind an ear. "Oh I forgot to say thanks for chatching me...earlier i mean...I have klutz attacks alot and they usually end up with me on teh floor...but umm thanks for catching me again..."

Cain felt his face redden more but he was pretty sure she'd say no. It sounded sort of like that in her voice. He was sure there would be a 'but' in there somewhere.
