"Heh, then why did you say it? If you didn't mean it then why didn't you say so? Instead you ran away...... and I drew the conclusion that you didn't 'love' me. I was a fool." Sasuke turned and started to walk away, careful not to trip over the long kimono. He held his chin high, his mask was firmly in place once again. His eyes and body had finally agreed with his mind, they wouldn't show any emotion. Begina chirped, fluttering on Haku's shoulder. "Begina, if you wish stay with Haku-san. I'm going back to my room." He said to the small bird.

"DAMN IT, SASUKE! YOU'RE RUNNING AWAY AGAIN!" Naruto suddenly shouted. "I love you, but if you cant see that and forgive me for my mistakes, then maybe I shouldn't, anymore... I should just hate you!" He took off running down the hallway, not caring anymore. "Stupid... teme... baka..." he mumbled.
Haku frowned at Naruto's retreating back. He's matured more, since the last time I saw him before this... place. He thought. Looking over at Sasuke's retreating back, he remained where he was. "Tut, tut..." He mumbled. "Love and Hate are two emotions that border on the same line..."

"Then hate me...... I live an avenger's life. Avenger's never have happy endings.... I was fooling myself." Sasuke spoke as he turned to watch Naruto's retreating form. "Aishiteru...and it hurts....." he whispered to himself. He turned his gaze over to Haku. "I'm sorry if I got you involved in this..." ne inclined his head to Mist-nin before turning and walking in the opposite direction that Naruto went, heading back to the red-gold room.
Suprisingly, Sasuke easily found the staircase and was currently observing a wooden dresser. It wasn't the dresser itself that held his gaze, but the object upon its surface. In a bamboo case was a wooden flute. Sasuke gingerly picked it up, examining the instrument. When he was little use to play, every now-and-then he would play the one he carried in a secret spot in his house. But that was back in Konoha... the Uchiha placed the mouth piece to his lips and let out a low note first.

Naruto ran until he tripped over his own feet. Hitting the ground, he looked up and realised that he'd somhow gone all the way back to Sasuke's room. Well... Apperently, he had a new room, now, so... it was now his. Wiping away some tears, he pushed himself off the floor and stood. Shaking a bit, he went over to the door and pushed it open, slipping inside before closing it.
Naruto cried more into the pillow he'd grabbed after flopping onto the bed. It smelled like Sasuke... the entire bed did, and although he hated it... although it reeked, now, to him and he felt sick smelling it, he didn't want it to go away.
Giving a large sigh, Haku gave a small shrug. "Let's get you back to your cage so you have your food and water..." He turned his head a bit to look at the little bird on his shoulder. "Besides... " He looked in the direction Sasuke went. "I want to know more of why he's acting like this." The dark-haired boy began walking in that direction.

Sasuke felt content as he play a low pitched song. The notes carried through the walls, and throughout the house. The air still seemed to vibrate as he set the flute down. "Its been quite awhile since I've played..." he said as he closed the case. He sat down on a bay window, but there was no window, only a painting in its place. It taunted his want for freedom with its life-like detail. Sadly, his thoughts drifted to Naruto 'No! I won't thiink of him!'

Haku'd found Sasuke's room, and opened the door while the Uchiha was still playing. When he moved to sit in front of the painting, he moved into the room, taking to the bird on his shoulder. "There's your cage... Tch, It's a bit small for a guy like you..." He murmered, walking over to said cage. "They should make larger cages... and you're alone... that's not very nice..." He opened it up, and, appearing to be not paying attention to Sasuke, but not ignoring him, reached in and pulled out the food dish before brushing a few seed shells off, and putting it back. He smiled as he watched the little bird. It was hard to tell that he was a missing-nin that had a strong bloodline, and would kill if he needed to, and if told by a certain other missing-nin.
"I wonder if we can find you a friend so you arent so alone..." He murmered.

Sasuke jumped slightly when the Mist-nin began to talk. "Hello Haku-san..." The Uchiha paused as he listened to the other boy's comments. 'Is he trying to refer to me? ..... I don't need friends I'm quite fine by myself.... oh well, he probably was just refering to the bird.' he thought as he turned his head to watch Haku. "When I came across this place it didn't look as if their was anyone occuping it.... the bird was just... there. I'm not sure if their are any other birds around."

It was then that Haku actually looked up at Sasuke. He gave the other male a smile. "I'm sure there is at least one more. Perhaps, even more. This room is different then the others, I've observed, but..." He looked around for a moment. "I am quite sure there's more like it." He smiled again, then turned back to the bird. "Because, nobody can live alone, without caring for someone, without driving themselves crazy. Right, Begina?" He listened to the bird twitter, but his smile had faded.

"Perhaps there are more.... and Haku-san, what if there are others, but they don't wish to be together? Wouldn't that be sorrowful?" Sasuke said, noting the underlaying meaning. HE turned away from Haku to look back at the painting. It was a portrate of two fantasy-like girls. They were sheer opposites of the other. One was dressed in blue robes and had long, straight, black hair, contrasting her pale skin. Her unseeing eyes matched her hair, obsidian. The other girl had curls of golden hair, a light orange robe complementing her tanned skin. The girls eyes were shut, a smile curving on her lips. The girls in the painting were position so that the black-haired girl's head ested beside the blonde's hip, and vice versa with the blonde's head.

"Even birds know that companionship, and getting along, is more important then being alone, and eventually going mad..." Haku murmered. "They may argue, and pick on eachother... perhaps get a little violent... but, eventually... the two will get along. Even if they found other birds, they would be together...."
Haku's smile returned a bit as the mysterious air-conditioning turned on, blowing cool air against him. It was a nice change from the ever-always warm house, which he wasn't exactly used to. He then noticed that Begina didn't seem to like the cold, that much. "Hang on, I'll see if I can find something to cover your cage, a bit, so you can stay warm..." He murmered, and began looking around, his attention back to the bird.
((Note: I have no knowledge of birds' behaviors, whatsoever, so.... yeah.))

"Perhaps..... perhaps not. I don't really think you can be sure unless you're that bird.....or maybe you can read bird's minds? Haha~" Sasuke watched as Haku moved about looking for something. "What are you doing Haku-san?" he asked, eyebrow raised.

Haku glanced up, blinking slightly. "He can't exactly warm himself up on his own, now can he? He appears to be more of a tropical bird... probably caught in Fire country, somewhere..." He grinned as he found some sort of closet, and came out with a spare blanket. Walking over to the cage, he draped the blanket over the half that had the air-conditioning vent blowing against it, and smiled a bit. The cage was still open, so Begina could fly out whenever he wanted.
"Birds are a little harder to take care of then rabbits, and they're harder to catch, too, since they can fly..." Haku murmered, appearing to be talking to himself, or anyone who would listen. Mostly... he was stuck in his own thoughts, just spouting random things to appear social. "But, I like them both the same, even though rabbits dont sing..."

"True... rabbits seem to have more freedom though. They aren't caged or made to sing... they just hop around. Maybe its because birds have the sole power to fly that they are caged? Perhaps those who cage them are envious towards them? Who knows... I'm just babbling now. So, what brought you here? I doubt Begina would pester you so much that you had to drop hiim off here." Sasuke managed a small, fake, smile at Haku.

Haku looked up at Sasuke. "Oh..? No, he didn't pester me to. I came because I felt like it." He smiled again. "Though, rabbits get caged, too." he reminded the other boy. "Perhaps the birds live the better lives, though, because rabbits are killed for their fur..." He gave a slight shrug.

"True, but birds get killed for food, they get their feathers plucked for decoration, and, wait-wait.... how did we get to the topic of birds and rabbits?" Sasuke looked oddly at Haku, slumping slightly. "It's a completely unusual topic...."
