Yup - and it kinda ruined my image of what camping was. Instead of camping out under the stars, all alone in the woods, there were rows of tents and RVs in a parking lot stare

Not really. The motels I've been to haven't been necessarily 5-star, but they were clean and relatively nice.
Ever found yourself in a kitchen that was only 3 feet by 3 feet?
