"Just wait Saint... Ok Day go ahead and call her." Acoine yelled down to Day. "Ok Saint, I have my car ready. I'll be ready to go by Tuesday morning. So are you going to invite Saphire or not?" Acoine just wanted to finish the season with a perfect score. He could get into any college with a scholarship for the season.

"Dont worry about a car, I got that covered already. Tuesday morning is great, I have money for us to eat and such on the way there. I will call Sapphire when I get a chance to use the phone when your parents aren't here. I am sure she will go." Saint said grabbing his computer and loggin onto the net. He would try again to get a hold of that man.

Lisa gave a girly scream as her husband blew a raspberry on her cheek. "Yeah, you got me," she said, recovering from laughing a little. This was the way things were a lot of the time when they were younger, without children, and Lisa cherished the times that were now carefree, if they were only for a few moments. She didn't really know what to say, but they both knew they needed to talk about things, so she waited for Chris to begin it all.

Chris added a peck on her cheek before letting go and sitting on their porch swing. He patted the seat next to him and waited for her to sit.
"I'm afraid Acione has become more and more rebellious in the past few years," he began, looking at his hands. "I'd say it was Saint's influence, but he seems to be less rebellious than our son," he sighed, thankful and excited to see how much the other boy had grown, but still worried about Acione. "We should have put a stop to the behavior when we first noticed it a few years ago, but we didn't." He looked at his wife's eyes, his own full of grief. "We failed there, Lisa. And I think the first thing we need to do today is ask God's forgiveness."

Lisa sat down next to Chris. It was a pleasant day out.
Her eyes reflected her emotions, the same as his. She looked him straight in the eye though, when he talked, because she knew that she would be less likely to fully listen if she didn't. She nodded slowly at Chris's suggestion. Lisa bowed her head, grabbed Chris's hands in her own, and began to pray. "Father, thank you for our family and our children. We feel like we may have failed them, and you, in not taking more action when we should have. Lord, please forgive us of this and show us Your path for us to follow and to teach our children." she paused, waiting to see if Chris would add anything or not.

Chris gave a soft "Amen" and squeezed Lisa's hands without letting go. He took a breath to begin to talk, but was silenced by his chirping cell phone. Reaching into his pocket, he sent an apologetic grin toward his wife and flipped the phone open. "Hello?" he said impatiently.
"Chris," said the tear-filled voice of his sister Kelly. "It's Mom. She's had a severe heart attack, and we need you here right away to translate for us." His sister, mother, and father were world missionaries, and they were currently in Mexico. "Mom's the only one of us who speaks Spanish, and she's in a coma right now," Kelly continued. "Please, Chris, we need you!"
He sighed and looked back down toward his wife. "I'll be there as soon as I can," he muttered, shock starting to come over him. Mom was in a coma.
As soon as he hung up, he recounted the story to Lisa. "Look, you have to stay here with the kids; we don't have enough money to take everyone down with me. I need to find an emergency flight as it is. I'm sorry, honey, I don't know when I'll be able to come back, but I promise it'll be as soon as possible." Cupping her cheek with his hand, he kissed her and went to their bedroom to pack. Within eight hours, he was on his way to Mexico.
((Okay, I know that was totally lame and unexpected, but here's the deal.... I'm falling behind on my schoolwork, so I'm cutting down on internet time, and since gaia is so terribly addictive, I need to stop logging in for a while. I'll be back once school's out, so please, if you see me on gaia anytime BEFORE May 2 at 1:40 p.m. -- my last final -- please do kick me in the face. Anyway, go ahead and continue as normal without me, and I'll see you all in about three weeks!!))

"Sure, ummmm, I can go..." Day never did call her mom. She didn't really think her mom would care. Whispering to herself, "Hey, atleast she won't have to pay for anything, so ofcourse she won't care....Oh well, I'll see her before I leave anyway."

"Great, I'll tell my mom that you need to be droped off at home now and I'll see you soon. I love you Day." Acoine went and told his mom that Day needed to go home now.

Lisa sat in shock absorbing the words of her husband. She sent up another prayer, this one of safety and health for her husband and his family.
When Acione told her that Day needed to go home, she said ok and said that she would be in the car waiting.

Day grabbed her stuff, kissed Acoine on the cheek and headed towards the door. As she went towards the car, she said a soft goodbye. "I'll see you soon." With a smile on her face, she opened the door and got in the car. "Thankyou so much for today, Mrs. Lisa. Today has been wonderful."

Acoine headed towards the van. "Hey mom can you drop me off at football practice after we drop Day off? Coach wants us to go to a big practice to get ready for the game." Acoine got to practice and streched. He then threw a few passes to the wide recievers. He told his coach about his plans. "Coach, I'm telling you this just in case my mom calls you to see if you know where I am. I know that it's wrong, but I have to do this. I'll still be in the big game. though."
