Kaine led Hijiri through the halls, until they were in a corridor much removed from the main area-- and most of the security cameras. "So, did you want to find them now~?" the fox asked, giving the violinist a kiss. "...or did you wan to see the Nest itself~?"

With a light laugh, Hijiri returned the kiss, finding that he fit quite well snuggled in Kaine's arms for the moment. "We~ll~, it might be better for a brief tour about the place~", he decided, feeling a bit more flirtatious than usual. Yup, kit would definitely have to get the kitten out of the house more. Too much mischief stored up in the boy.
It would be good to know the house. Then, if he did manage to piss Hisoka off today, he might know where would be safe to hide. Or at least figure out Tatsumi's room so he'd have some distraction.

"Well, you'll know the idea of the house after we're done..." Kaine smiled slightly at the cat in his arms. "But there's no telling when it'll change-- raven's prone to switching the house about at her whim," he warned, giving the kitten another kiss, sweeter and deeper this time, filled with that addicting taste.
"This way~" he led Hijiri through the main house before arriving at the Music Room. "This might interest you~" the fox purred as he'd noted earlier that Hijiri's hands felt like those of a musician.
The walls were lined with instruments and music-- beautiful, beautiful cases of wonderful, gorgeous instruments. Off to the side was a glass area-- a recording studio of sorts.

"My dear Cordell... what exactly do you plan on doing now that you understand?" Muraki asked, smiling indulgently at the angel sitting on his lap.
Cordell considered Muraki's question for a long moment, cuddling with the unicorn before answering. "...staying with you?" It's safe here... warm even though you're colder than I can handle and farther than I can reach...
That brought a smile and a laugh to the scientist. "Well, well. And what will you do when I have to leave?" he asked gently of his precious angel, kissing the boy softly.
"Cry?" Cordell blinked, a bit confused by the question. "Or die..."
"No tears, my darling... and none of your death. But perhaps... we can stay together for a bit."
Just for a time...

It was rare to have the boy silent, but for once in his life, Hijiri was rather stunned. Green eyes just stared in awe of the room, greedily lingering on the set of polished violins. kit's domain was still somewhat... incomplete, but this... this was... wow.

Kaine smiled as he watched Hijiri. The fact that the violinist seemed so entranced by the room filled the fox with a peculiar kind of delight-- the sort that only happens when you've accidentally-on-purpose made someone startled into a type of awe seldom noticed by the masses.
"...Miss raven doesn't mind having people come over-- or letting people play these instruments, provided they've been trained to take care of instruments," Kaine murmured quietly, almost encouraging Hijiri to reach out, take one of the beautiful violins, find one which matched his soul...

The cat's jaw worked a could times before he could speak properly-- being suddenly introduced to this world, Hijiri hadn't played a violin in ages. His fingers twitched, and without even refusing like a proper guest would, his feet carried him to the walk, sharp eyes inspecting every violin.
He lifted one up, holding it to the light and let his fingers glide over it as tender as a lover's caress. But without even plucking one note, he placed it back, eyes already fixed upon another. Absorbed in this process of selection, Hijiri seemed to have forgotten Kaine was even in the room.

Kaine smiled and watched Hijiri, enthralled by the cat's movements. It had been so long since he'd watched anyone as taken with music as this boy... and he'd missed this. More than he could say, he'd missed watching, feeling the connection that only musicians can have with one another, that unspoken appreciation for the music...

How dare he? How dare he?! That little brat... Lucius Malfoy stalked through the halls of the Nest, searching for his son and coming up with nothing. After that... incident... at the shop, Lucius had made sure that the boy regretted what he'd done.
But now, Draco appeared to be gone.
"Lost your son?" Seishirou asked from behind the lamia calmly, smiling.
Lucius bit back a snarl as he turned-- as much as he hated to admit it, Seishirou unnerved even the hardened wizard. Perhaps it was something about that disarming smile which felt eerie, and yet seemed gentle at the same time... or perhaps it was more than that. Perhaps it was Seishirou's entire demeanor which threw the lamia off. "Actually, it appears I must have misplaced him. Do you have any idea where he might have run off to?"
"Ah, yes," Seishirou nodded after considering the question for a moment. "I believe Sakirou asked your son to accompany him and Cino to the shop. You've heard of the current... state of affairs between Sakirou and Cino, haven't you?" Seishirou asked quietly, still smiling that ever-present smile.
"Yes, I have," Lucius managed, nodding slightly. As much as he loathed most of the household, he DID keep himself up to date on current events. Besides, it was always good to know who was avoiding who and why.
Of course, it was quite apparent that Draco had asked Sakirou to go to the shop-- not the other way around. That damned Mer hardly asked anyone for anything-- albeit, he'd never been in this kind of situation before, but still. It would be... completely out of character for him to ask for any sort of company.
"Good. And so you know, Lucius," Seishirou smiled, "Draco will be staying with Cordell tonight-- Miss raven's orders. She wants Draco to get used to Cordell-- and she also thinks that it will help him get over the shock of seeing him half completed," he explained calmly.
Both semes knew that 'staying with Cordell' really meant 'staying with Cordell and Muraki'-- the unicorn hadn't let the angel out of his sight willingly since Cor had woken in the first place.
Lucius frowned-- but he couldn't cross raven now. Later, perhaps... but not now. "I see," he muttered before bowing slightly to Seishirou and taking his leave.
This gave him time to plan, at least...

brokenraven Kaine smiled and watched Hijiri, enthralled by the cat's movements. It had been so long since he'd watched anyone as taken with music as this boy... and he'd missed this. More than he could say, he'd missed watching, feeling the connection that only musicians can have with one another, that unspoken appreciation for the music... Finally, the boy decided upon a violin. In terms of shape and craftsmanship, it seemed mediocre at best-- one could count its age with the small scratches and dents in the sheen of its polish. But its color was unmatched; a dark crimson, glazed with a faint gold shine. Hijiri knew he could not reach the same notes, the same speed and fluidity as some of the masterpieces within the collection, but the stylized violin cried to him, called softly to his sensitive ears. This one, he thought, this one will sing for me. The blood red was dizzying, making his left eye burn. Turning back to Kaine, the violinist placed the instrument under his chin, letting the bow slide across the strings for a note. "It's really okay if I play?"

Kaine smiled and nodded, more interested in the boy's excitement than the violin he'd chosen. True, the instrument was more than gorgeous-- as raven had a tendency to choose aesthetically pleasing instruments which sounded as wondrous as the appeared-- but it was the man behind the music who entranced Kaine, made the fox filled with a peculiar shiver of glee as he anticipated the sound. That single note Hijiri had played gave Kaine only the barest hint of what an entire song would be like-- a symphony in solo, a beautiful, yet frightening song of passion and midnight...

With a small grin, Hijiri bent his head, messy black bangs tumbling forward as he began a familar piece. His fingers flew across the neck as the Devil's Trill poured from the instrument, but even Tartini's sonata could not compare to the sweet chaos that poured forth. Notes fluttered from the strings like black raven's, obscuring sight until only the music remained, pure unadulterated darkness. Within the demonic cacophony, Hijiri's slender body swayed, jerked with the melody, as if the soul convulsed with each phrase, slowly devoured by the dischordant playing.
So long without this addictive music, Hijiri wondered somewhere admist the crying violin if he'd be able to stop, fingers intent on ripping the song from the instrument and throwing each scream into the air. Soon, he told himself, fragile wrist flicking expertly over the string for a ripple of darkness, Soon, he should stop.

For some reason, with this strange cat's beautiful, hauntingly chaotic music rising about him, Kaine felt his lips part, and a song pouring forth-- singing words he didn't know to a tune he'd never heard before, his vibrant violet eyes fixed on Hijiri. Perhaps it was the call of like to like-- demons of song and angels of melody. Or maybe it was the recognition of a true musician in the other.
Whatever it was, it called to Kaine, and he let his sweetly poisonous song rise through the air, entwining with Hijiri's music till you could barely tell where one ended and the other began, until the pair crescendoed together into a hauntingly perfect end.
Draco had been wandering through the halls when the gorgeously terrifying music began, and he'd followed the sound until he reached the music room, standing just outside in a mixture of awe and fear. He'd never heard anything like it-- music so powerful it could steal your soul and make you believe you'd given it freely...

As the last note quivered from his bow, the boy smiled, sated, but remorseful. The burn in his left eye still lingered, but only certain people would be able the see the shift in color; from lush forest green to harsh frigid gold. His head throbbed before he realized the pain in his fingers-- after playing a song of that caliber after nearly two months of not playing, it was only natural he would create a blister. Or two. Or maybe just have bleeding finger tips. It was such a good pain though...
Dizzily, he remembered Kaine's voice rising to combine with his music, that sweet blackness so reminiscent of his violin's screams. Still dazed, he blinked to clear the fog before realizing there was another person in the doorway.

It took Kaine a long moment to recover from the song, coming back to the here and now of the Nest, rather than a lost live on a distant stage with figures just as hazy-- and wait a minute. Was that... Draco? "Oi, Draco... what are you doing here?" the fox called to the lamia, his voice still holding that musical quality of a song well sung.
Draco froze-- he'd been spotted... ohshit. "...you two were making a lot of noise," the boy shrugged slightly. All right, it was a lame excuse. But the young wizard couldn't think of anything more to say... how could he put into words that the music he'd heard seemed completely surreal-- and yet more real than anything he'd experienced lately...?
