Kasiya handed over her three Pokeballs, keeping Ariel, Seto and Fang with her, for they didn't need healing. She glanced at Mike, sitting on the couch, her body still slightly trembling from the hug he'd just given her. She sighed, and looked at the ground, choosing to sit on the window ledge nearby and stare outside. It was growing darker by the second, the sun setting not too long ago. "Sometimes I think he's just messing with me on purpose," the girl whimpered softly to herself, closing her eyes and somehow keeping herself from crying. Ariel popped out of her Pokeball, and put her front paws up on the girl's lap, a look of concern on her face. "Thanks," Kasiya said, forcing a smile, but it was gone as soon as it had came.

Flannery had no need to hand over any of her Pokemon, her Houndoom hadn't suffered a scratch from the one battle she'd had. The gym leader leaned up against the counter, one leg crossed over the other, and arms folded across her chest. She too gazed out the window at the new night sky. I want to go home, she thought to herself, pursing her lips. I want to go home where nothing's complicated and my only worries are challengers wanting my badge...

Jaeshan walked through Vermilion City, unsure of what he was feeling. He wasn't exactly angry with Kilik, he just hated to be told how to do things. "I haven't lost a gym match," the boy grumbled to himself, kicking a rock as he passed by the same spot he'd evolved his Nidoking. He smiled to himself, knowing very well that any gym leader worth his salt would have all sorts of plans and strategies for dealing with challengers. He sighed again, feeling slightly guilty about leaving Ryka so suddenly, and after she'd been so sweet to him. He turned to head back and apologize for his rash behaviour, but suddenly became infuriated at the thought of the smug look Kilik would have on his face. "Argh!" the boy yelled, slamming his fist into the brick wall of a building, and hanging his head. He'd had enough of those looks for a lifetime. "I just drive everyone away," the boy muttered to himself, slipping his hands into his pockets and continuing to walk. A rumble of thunder was heard in the distance, and he glanced up at the sky. "A storm is coming in," he noted, seeing the inky black coulds rolling south.

Upon hearing Winona's coment Dante tilted his head to one side. "I suppose that was an insult. Anyway over confidence will be your downfall." He finished with a smirk on his face which sorta gave him the appearance of a vampire.
When the Fearow had fainted Meowth laughed and danced happily. "Ha! Thats right I took down that over sized turkey!" He stoped dancing though when the Gligar was sent out. "Uh-oh" Was all he said as he was hit with the Earthquake attack and sent flying back into Dante's arms.
"Good job there Meowth. Now I am going to take that thing down for you." He said as he took off his jacket and set Meowth down on it befor unclipping another pokeball. "All right then. A Gligar, well I can take care of that." He said with another smirk as he tossed out the pokeball to reveal Bahamut. "Your just lucky that she isn't a Flygon yet." Bahamut gave a big grin clearly ready for her battle.

Needless to say Flannery's hair looked even more bizarre upside down. Mike was laying on his back, his head hanging off the side. Thankfully Mike was good at reading expressions, or so he thought. "Missing good old Hoenn Flannery?"
The blood rushing to his head was not as pleasent as he'd hoped, the boy rubbing his head. It threw off his balence and sent him crashing to the floor. Fortunatly his backpack was on the table adjacent to the couch.
"That was less than unpainful." He grumbled, rubbing his head even more.

Flannery chuckled and shook her head. "Hope you didn't damage the floor," she joked. "But yeah, a little homesick. How'd you guess?" She moved across the room and sat down on the couch Mike had just fallen off of. "I miss my gym," she said, folding her hands neatly in her lap and staring at the floor.

Kasiya glanced up as Mike crashed to the floor. When she was certain he wasn't hurt, she continued to look out the window. So much for new beginnings, she thought almost angrily. I cut of my hair for nothing. She tugged at the shorter, blonde strands, and let them fall back into place. I can't tell him, she thought, looking into Ariel's sympathetic eyes. I just can't. And I won't. She heard the chime of her Pokemon being fully healed, and stood up, walking over to the counter to reclaim them. As she clipped them into their places on her belt, she couldn't help but wonder what she should do next.

Jaeshan had turned to go back to the Pokemon Center, mainly because he didn't want to be caught in the rain. He'd nearly forgotten ((or actually completely forgotten, because Aire's silly that way)) that Mightyena had been tagging along at his side the whole time, the loyal Pokemon keeping silent, yet very welcome company. Jaeshan sighed and knelt down next to his friend, and patted him. "Have I ever told you how much I appreciate your friendship?" the boy asked the Pokemon, and was answered by a lick across the cheek. Jaeshan smiled, and continued to head back. He paused as he neared the center, looking through the window from across the street. He could see Kilik's Flareon and Ryka's Espeon playing, chasing each other around. "Not just yet," the boy said quietly, and continued to walk down the street. He stopped at the waterfront, and leaned against the railing as he watched the waves rolling in. He could now smell rain mixed in with the salt from the sea, and it would be here soon. And judging by the tell-tale rumbles in the distance, this storm was going to be a rough one.

The ring of the Pokemon Center couldn't have been more welcome. Mike rushed over to the counter and eagerly took his Pokemon, thanking the Nurse Joy. He turned to his friends, "I promised Kilik I'd do him a favor, so I'll be back in a little bit. Make sure to call me if you need anything." He walked outside the sliding doors of the Center, the night sky slowly creeping up. In a few moments Nitro was released and the two were on their way to Vermillion.
"You did great by the way." Nitro smiled at the recognition, still a bit sore from the quadruple Thunderpunch.

Jaeshan frowned at the dark clouds rolling in, and, feeling a raindrop on his cheek. He sighed, and started to head back, Mightyena looking a bit jumpy as thunder boomed in the distance. "Return then, you overgrown puppy," Jaeshan said with a smile, and recalled the dark Pokemon, smiling as he slipped the Pokeball into his pocket. He walked for a bit longer, pausing out side a coffee shop and thinking before he went inside.
About five minutes later, Jaeshan entered the Pokemon Center, a little wet from the rain that had started to come down in buckets. In his hand, he held three steaming cups of hot chocolate he'd picked up at the coffee shop, and he made his way over to Ryka and Kilik, shivering lightly. "Hey," he said, his tone much friendlier than it had been. "A peace offering," he added, handing a cup to Kilik. "I always get tense before a gym battle, and I'd like to apologize," he added as he handed Ryka a cup of her own.

Flannery watched out the window as Mike and Nitro flew off together. "Kilik..." she repeated. "He was that creepy kid we met in Petalburg." She shook her head and sighed, and made her way back over to the couch, but didn't sit down. "I'm going to go stir-crazy just sitting around here," she groaned, crossing her arms across her chest.

"You could have asked him if you could go too," Kasiya looked up at her. "I don't think he would have been opposed to it." Kasiya walked over to the vending machine and put in a few coins, and entered her selection. The machine rattled and made a clunking noise, and her favourite candy popped out at the bottom. Kasiya happily collected the package, tearing it open as she headed over to the couch and sat down. Ariel followed her every move, jumping up next to her. Kasiya ate a few herself, then poured some into her hand for Ariel to enjoy. The Vaporeon munched happily, her long, fin-edged tail flicking back and forth. Kasiya then held the bag ot to Flannery. "Candy?"

"Me? Help? How?" asked Akane in response to Nurse Joy's question.
"The repairman that services the generator lives on the southern outskirts of the city." Nurse Joy scribbled down the address on a handy notepad and handed it over to Akane. "If you could go and tell him whats happened here, maybe he can come and have a look at it."
Akane glanced outside - the violence had left the storm, thankfully, yet a heavy rain had settled in. And it was dark.
"You can borrow my umbrella?" Joy asked hopefully.

After a little thought Akane agreed to go, Pokemon centers are important places after all., and Nurse Joy had been awfully nice to her ...
It took a while to gather Akane's belongings and to make sure her clothes were mostly dry. Akane also double and triple checked the adress before tucking it into her messenger style bag.
"Are you sure you're okay heading out on a night like this?" asked the concerned nurse, as she clutched her large red and white umbrela. "I don't want to make you if you don't want to ..." she trailed off, her worry clear upon her face.
"I said I would go. Besides I do have Twinkers with me" replied Akane, giving the small pokemon an affectionate hug, "And I will have an umbrella this time". I should get one of those thought the young girl. "And I have to start my adventure sometime, right?" Akane took the umbrella from Joy and set her mind to the task at hand. "Lets go Twinkers".

The power outage had left Cerulean City dark and ominous looking. The houses were looming shadowy shapes, some of them with the soft glow of candle light illuminating their "eyes". The sound of the rain drowned out everything but for the moan of the wind. With Twinkers clutched to her chest with her left arm, and the Umbrella in her rght, Aknae strode purposefully to the south side of the town, trying her hardest not be frightened of the odd sounds or shadowy shapes.
A loud clattering noise pierced through the drone of the rain, a small shadowy shape moved suddenly cross her path some twenty feet ahaed and was just as soon gone. Things certainly were a little creepy out here. Did I do the right thing, leaving the Pokemon Center? Akane wondered to herself more than a little nervously.
