Once Kinja felt that Makadari was well away from the thicket she heaved a sigh of relief. "Well, at least nothing was said about the other cub. Which reminds me, Kiu, I have to go get her, could you watch the cubs?" She smiled at him, knowing he would love to watch his little ones.

She slipped out the tiny exit she had squeezed through earlier and hurried off to get Jasi. She kept looking behind her and checking the air for any hint that Makadari might be following her. She didn't want to lead him to the cub. There was no way she herself could fight the lion, even if he was getting old in age and she didn't want the little cub, Jasi to be taken.

Kimeti yawned and looked at his father after his mother left. even though he was getting tired he wanted time with his father. "Let's play." He spoke brightly as he lept to all four paws, looking at his father expectantly.

Jasi was still huttled in the sand, watching everything. She heaved a releaved sigh when she saw Makadari leave, and she could see Kinja coming to get her. She flexed her paws excidedly. She wondered what had gona on while she was here, she hoped it was nothing bad.

Kijinga looked around. the sign of her grandfather was gone, and so was her mother. she sighed quickly as she took a few steps away from her siblings. something differ'd her from the rest. she looked at them, then turned away. curling around her body was her tail, as the tip of the fur lay infront of her face

The mention of cub suddenly sent Taka into a mental frenzy, where was Jasiri!? Her eyes took on panic and so she nodded in agreement to the lion, she could trust even if the trust was going to the kind she despised, perking up her ears and head to see and hear outside of the cave. Talking quickly, she voiced her worries to Yakuti and to the lion if he had any ideas of what to do with her, her tail frizzed up in fear of where they had misplaced her.

"We're missing Jasiri, Yakuti!"

His comment about not knowing much about being a lion rung in her head. Well, of course! As a prince he did not need do to anything for his pride, they would do it for him. That's what a prince did after all.

Teule was still staring in admiration at Mwali, his ears perking up and eyes lighting at the mention of him being a Prince. He could teach them to be kings! Or princes, they were both the same, no? Teule excitedly mouthed the word 'Prince' to Woko, a large grin growing on his maw. The smile only lasted for a few seconds as Jasiri and her saftey rampaged through his mind unexpectedly. What had that lioness done with her?!

"Do you remember what that lioness did with her, Wokovu?"

Kijinga lifted her head. she looked out into the empty area as she raised from her small little area. she shook off any dust that had attached it's self to her. she then sniffed around, she knew that going off alone again would bring consequences. yet it was so boreing here. nothing to do, no one to talk to. her head shook as she wandered towards the edge of the thicket. her nose touched the tree's around it, then her head poked out of it. she looked into the area around her as her eyes stared with curiousity. it was so big, and empty! she had to go explore it ugh...but mom said no....i could get in so much more trouble.... a sigh exited her maw as she popped back into the open thicket. she stared out into the tree line, wondering what lay beyond what she saw.

Gou trotted across the sand, her charge happily running beside her and asking all sorts of questions. Gou only answered when the cub's voice got too loud, and then the cub would be totally silent again. Of course, that's when Gou really had to listen and watch after the cub. It was amasing how fast a cub could dissapear, even if she was orange.

"Gou! Gou! Look! A bug! Can I eat it?"

The caracal sighed.

"No, you cannot eat it. What did I tell you about bugs?" She padded around slightly, trying to find Tael so they could get out of the firekin lands as quickly as possible. Her wandering instinct was still in full gear, and which was why she had just told Tael that they were leaving after she caught her first rodent. Not to mention if any of the firekin found them, they wouldn't stand a chance.

Kinja slowed to a halt by the bit of vegetation that she had hidden Jasi in. She called out to the little cub. "It's safe to come out now." Just to make certian that everything WAS alright she took one last glance around.

"Now, we'll have to find your friends. Apparently they got away from Makadari so they should be safe somewhere."

Waka watched the distant orange dot. It was an animal, obviously. The way it moved about, it could have been nothing else. And she knew of no lion in her pride with an orange hue...

The lioness yawned hugely. Hmm, what to do, what to do. There was to be a hunt in the next few days, but one small kill wouldn't hurt much. It never took much energy to take down trespassers, anyway. A baby antelope was more work than taking down an unwary feline.

Hauling herself to her paws, Waka stared out across the stinging sand, toward the flitting orange dot. She made no attempt to hide herself. No, a chase was always more fun...Always.

Tael growled softly and pounced at the centipede. she was hungry, the centipede looked tastey, and best of all, Gou couldn't stop her! The bug would probably be in her belly long before her caretaker showed up, and Tael was happy for that. She whapped the bug down onto the ground and looked at it happily, glad that she finally caught the flitty thing. Just before she popped it into her mouth, she noticed a red thing coming closer and closer. Another person out here? Gou said there wouldn't be anybody here but us! Grinning, she stuffed the centipede in her mouth and started walking towards the growing red dot, happy that Gou wasn't around to stop her from making another friend.

((xD Dun dun DUN!))

Jasi happily stood up and shook of the sand that was stuck in her fir. She gave a little streatch and happily padded up beside Kinja. "Are they alright? The big lion didnt do anything to them did he?" She said. She was anxsious to get back to the way life was before they saw the king, it was much more peaceful then, and not as chaotic.

Slowly, the outline of the orange dot came into focus. What it was made the smirk on Waka's face grow even longer. A lion cub. This was turning out to be quite amusing indeed...

Replacing the smirk with a rather fake grin, Waka came to a halt once Tael was quite close. "Hello, my dear. Are you lost?" The words were bittersweet, sounding as if Waka had just eaten a bad thing. Her eyes flitted around. With a cub, another, usually older, lion was bound to be around. Seeing nothing, Waka focused her gaze back upon the cub. "What are you doing in this dreadful hot desert?" The grin widened.

Waka would not have used such "kind" words with an adult lion, but this was a sweet, innocent, darling cub...The perfect candidate for a Firekin slave! All thoughts of killing were out of Waka's mind, but other dark thoughts had entered in their place.

Tael smiled happily and bounced around Waka, happy to find another lioness in the desert. You really could make friends with people anywhere!

"I'm not lost at all, red-lioness! Gou said that we had to move from our old home and go to another one, so we have to cut through the desert to get there. But, I lost Gou so I could eat a centipede! And then I met you. Ain't that nifty? Gou's so easy to trick!" She giggled and rolled on the sand. The sand warmed her fur up quite nicely.

Waka's eyes followed the bouncing cub. Wow, this was one reminder why Waka never had cubs..."Who is Gou?" Waka snapped at the cub, her expression morphing into the usual "stone-faced" look.

With another quick sweep of the surrounding desert, Waka concluded that this Gou, whoever she was, was not around. "Well, it doesn't seem like this Gou is around. Why don't I take you back to my home? A cub can parish quickly in this hot desert air, and I'm sure Gou wouldn't like that." The grin was replaced, and so was the "cheery" tone of voice.

"And don't worry about Gou! She knows where to pick you up at! If she was fooli-...I mean, if she was smart enough to come through the desert, then she will be smart enough to know where my dwelling is!" The happiness emitting from Waka was enough to make her gag. But cubs were so much more gullible when you acted...nice.

"Are you sure? Gou always said to tell her where I'm going, or she'd leave me in elephant dung for a looooong time." Tael tilted her head a bit, but smiled non-the-less. "She said something about not talking to red people too, but I don't know why. Do you?" She grinned brightly and hopped around some more.

Hmm, this cub was really trying her patience. She was about to point where she was just going to snatch the cub up and run. "Yes, I'm sure. Do I look like I would lie? And besides, you have already broke Gou's rule. You wandered away from her." She tried to put on a rather hurt expression, but her features just would not twist into that type of trash.

"Did she now? Heh. Imagine that. I don't know why. She's probably prejudice against my people! Why that..." Pretending to get angry, and then calm down once again, Waka flashed a rather stretched smile at the cub. "Did I say there was some fresh meat at the den? I would be more than happy to provide you with a piece."
