We got another clue for the Yuletide Mystery.
It is in the form of a scrambled word:
dreela
I came up with two possible "unscramblings" but I can't make any sense out of them (highlight to see)
leader
which also led me to:
dealer

Maybe it means that a leader of some sort has kidnapped them....
Possibly Lord Voldemort, or maybe even the Minister.
Eep! I just looked at my quidditch score! I got 2 questions wrong... I wonder which 2.... xd

Hmmm I think it would be the 1st choice. I don't believe the 2nd one is a word--is it? I know I have never heard of it. sad Not unless it should be hyphenated.

Well Mikki, if all you missed was 2 you currently would be the captain. That is if you want the position. I guess you will be my study buddy to understand how the rules of quidditch should be interpreted? Congratulations on your outstanding score by the way. smile

Actually, dealer is a word. Think of "Car Dealer"
The scramble's not that hard. Only two words it can make (leader/dealer) and only one makes some sense in the HP context...go on. Guess and send it in to Icee. We want those points!

I have pm'd Icee with my responses to both of those questions.
However I did want to ask you one more if I may. I know this may sound silly especially since we are Ravenclaw house, but how many classes do we need to take this term? I mean do the 1st years have a choice or is there a standard requirement for classes?

I know 'dealer's' a word, just not 'relead'. So when we guess, all we have to do for that certain unscramble clue is to unscramble it?

Yes Ari I do believe that is all we have to do. However when I pm'd IceeWitch, I let her know what the clue was that I was answering.
By the way---What did we answer for the 1st clue? I went along Alutian line of "Eyebrow" Which if a house elf was speaking could very similarly sounds like "I bow." What do you think??
My guess to the 1st clue answer is incorrect. I hope I get to try again. I did get my answer correct for the 2nd clue, and earned a house point.

That's true!! nd if we assumed that the scrambled word was "leader", then a house elf could very well be bowing to someone of great importance. By the way, are we allowed to discuss possible answers with our house, or is that considered cheating? eek

I would hope not!! Just as long as we don't discuss it outside the common room. I think it is better to brainstorm with all of our housemates, that way we will be able to give the correct answer and our whole house benefits.
However, Miss Alutian if I have misread/misunderstood the rules I am sure you will let us know correct?
