"I don't know... so many memories... I just lost the will to live, I guess. Forgot about the present." A tear fell from his eyes. "I'm sorry Riiko. I'm so sorry." He held her close. He wasn't going to lose her. He wouldn't. He would reather die than lose her. He let go and took off his necklace, and put it around Riiko's neck. "For you."

Riiko's eyes were worried but she smiled slightly when he put the necklace around her neck. The necklace toched the one that was still around her neck and it glowed brighter than she had ever seen. She passed out for a second as it did this and then came back, her eyes slightly wide then back to normal. 'The box still didn't show, i should be glad, but then again i guess that means that he still...'she thought. She turned to M again "M...did you love Natisha?"she asked suddenly as she looked up into his eyes.

He nodded. "Yes. I loved her more than anyone could." H looked at Riiko. "She was a half-demon, born during the European persecution ((pretend it happened)), and the government afopted her. We immediately became friends. We had fallen in love at age 11, and she died at age 12, a day before her 13th birthday. She gave me half of that friendship circle. She took the other half with her into the grave." He smiled at Riiko. "You saved me from taking mine with me. I think you deserve it."

Riiko's eyes were wide while he told the story, then back to sad when he finished. "No, i can't i want you to keep it, I know she would want you to have it"she said as she gave a soft smile to him. "Hey....M....I want you to know that I really...like you"she said as she leaned in to kiss him.

He nodded. "I know. I really like you too Riiko." He looked at her. "No, she told me to give it to someone special. Those were her last words." He put his hands in hers and smiled. "And you melted the ice around my heart. And for that, I thank you." He looked over at the sand and made the likeness of Riiko out of sand. Then, he took a bit of flame from a nearby camp fire and turned the sand into glass.

Riiko took the circle and put it gently in her pocket, she looked at what he made for her "Wow..."was all she said. Suddenly as she looked around, she realised that this was all happing too fast for her, if she wasn't careful she could end up falling in love with him, she couldn't take that risk. "Um M... i gotta...go"she said, she looked at him and kissed him on the lips, then she took one last look at him and broke off in a run to her dorm room.

He looked confused. What had he done wrong? He suddenly felt like he did when he first came. Was it all a lie? He got up and went to the water. More memories and emotions to supress. He would never fall in love again. It happened twice and it ended twice. He didn't want to feel that pain again. He still loved Riiko, but he was unsure if it was the other way around.

Koichi sighed, running a hand through his wet hair. "Kitty, there's something about you that doesn't let me get mad," he confessed, although it really wasn't even a confession. Trick her, trick her, the voice sang. "Most girls would have loved a comment like that, yet you turn it down... got to say I admire you for that," he joked, hoping he hadn't insulted her in anway. He swung his feet back and forth a few times, making a small whole with rising sides below his feet.

Kana slowly eased her eyes open again, her head tilting as she looked at him. "Really?" she said in surprise, lifting her head from her knees once more. She watched him for a moment, not really sure what to say in response. Honestly, he still gave her a kind of odd feeling, but she was trying really hard to ignore it. Though, it wasn't letting her be quite as cheerful as she usually was. She tried thinking of what it was, and finally realized she was still fretting over the violin incident and why it'd made her so sleepy. It's nothing, nothing! she assured herself, her eyes still upon him even as she argued with herself mentally.

Koichi tilted his head slightly, raising an eyebrow. "Something wrong, Kitty?" he asked, wondering if something was bothering her. Maybe somethings on her mind...? he thought to himself, blocking out that voice that seemed to always be screaming. He knew it must have been something, although she'd object more than likely, and it seemed to bug him, too. He felt that it was him that seemed to bother her, and he couldn't help but wonder what it was he had done.

[It's fine! Don't worry about it. I was keeping busy on my other account. ^^]
Kana blinked, then shook her head. "No, it's nothing," she said with a nod of her head. "Don't worry about me." She smiled and then turned to look out over the ocean. She told herself again that the music hadn't done anything, and slowly began pushing herself to acting normally, which was probably actually pretty childish. She hoped that wouldn't annoy him, but it was who she was so she was going to go with it. She sighed very softly, but the warm smile remained upon her face as she watched the waves crash against the shoreline again. She was slightly wet from venturing into the water, but she didn't let it bother her. Now that she'd made herself stop worrying, it really seemed wonderful out here.

Koichi stuck out his bottom lip for a few moments, looking out at the ocean in disbalief. He blinked a few times, before regaining his composure. "If you say so, Kitty," he said in a sing-song voice, knowing it really wasn't the truth; he didn't want to push it, though. Oh-ho. The both of you are keeping secrets now, eh? said the voice, mocking him. Koichi smiled, though; she seemed to finally be relaxed.

Kana looked back over his shoulder at him, her regular excitement shining in her eyes like normal once again. "So what do we do now?" she asked curiously. She didn't really know what there was to do at the beach, as she hadn't been to one since she was a small child, when her father had still been around. She blinked and looked back towards the water again. The satly smell was still strange, but at the same time she didn't mind it. She held up one of her hands slowly, feeling the breeze whistling through her fingers and smiling happily as it did so.

Koichi looked at her and shook his head, laughing softly; she really did remind him of a little girl. "Well, for me, nothing is new. But... I think it'd be better to let you chose what to do, seeing as you haven't, I'm guessing, done a lot of things before," he trailed off, once again hoping he hadn't offended her. He didn't know why, but he felt no matter what he said he could deffend her if even in the slightest way. Will you stop worrying about stuff like that and hurry up with that plan of ours... i mean mine, yes all mine... already?! the voice argued.

[He told me he's disappearing over the weekend. xP]
Kana paused, then narrowed her eyes in concentration. She hunched over slightly, propping her chin up on her palm as she thought back to when she was only two or three, to her first and only beach visit. She hadn't gone into the water, for fairly obvious reasons, but they had done something on shore... She frowned as she tried to recal what it was, then her face suddenly lit up. "I know!" she exclaimed, suddenly leaping up from the rock she was seated upon. She landed lightly in the side, feet sinking in further because she'd jumped. "We can build a sand castle!" The excitement shone in her eyes as her tail flicked happily behind her. But then she paused, discovering she was probably horrible at it. Though, she didn't let that keep her down for long and soon spun around and practically skipped towards the water, pausing out of it's reach and crouching down, though she didn't start anything just yet.
