quote: Orgasm Grenade Launcher: whole unit has offensive and defensive grenades
are they serious?
quote: Lelith Hesperax 9/7/3/3/3/8/4/9/6+ No poison, no drugs, but ignores armour. 3++ in CC and 4++ against shooting Is equipped with impaler and shardnet. There are two wargear sets for the model but this is only a cosmetic option. There is no rule for another weapon loadout. Special Rules: Recieves a bonus attack for every point her WS is above the highest opponent's WS in base contact with her
she's my babe razz
Lady Malys 4+ invulnerable save Completely immune to psychic powers and passes this ability onto any unit she joins. Equipped with better Djinn blade If she rolls a double on her Dschinn Blade, the weapon loses it'S special powers. allows the owning player to redeploy D3 units after deployment...including placing these units back into reserve
psyker armies out there gonna hate her, most other armies too due to placing units in reserve or in the killing ground with no cover

I must admit I was pretty annoyed that Archon's can no longer take Jet Bikes as an upgrade. I'm planning a Dark Eldar pirate force and was really looking forward to having my leader rushing around the battleforce lopping heads off left right and centre.

Isn't that what Raiders are for though? I will admit that the lack of a Reaver and Hellion option for the Archon are missed chances.

The retinue options are indeed both outlandish and excellent opportunities for conversions. I'd love to see what people can come up with when tackling the elite variants of the Wyches and Warriors.

I've pre-ordered my box of Wyches and Warriors, just so I've got some Eldar Corsairs for future Rogue Trader sessions.

got my eyes on some first-hand eyewitness descriptions of the codex... you can easily have 150-strong FNP army via: 3xwracks (think wyches without drugs, but with free pain token) 6xwyches/warriors with attached haemeonculi
Asdrubael Vect is costly, but he steals initiative on 4+! His ex-wife (!), Lady Malys is dirt cheap, and does get to re-position d3 enemy units, including placing in reserve! so with luck you can push 3 enemy death stars land raiders into reserve! and she is completely immune to psychic powers, conferring this ability to any unit she joins! No jaws of the wolf for her! btw, I assume divorces in Commorragh are real messy affairs, even compared to our world... Duke Sslicous the serpent is the pirate - type who allows each unit to roll 2d6 on the drugs table and pick best choice... oh and he allows raiders and ravagers to deep strike. Drazhar is pretty much toughest SC with t4 (all stats like Eldar Phoenix lord) and eternal warrior... he can pump out 4 s6 power weapon attacks or 6 s4, and can add attacks for every 6 to hit, plus has basically all ICs as preferred enemy. As predicted, Lelith Hesperax is cc monster. She adds the difference between her 9ws and enemy ws to her attacks. with 4 basic and 2 power weapons, this makes 10 vs basic marines, though s3 will mitigate the effect... oh and she subtracts 1 from attacks of every model in btb. Marine sergeants with power fists will have really hard time with her having usually only 1 attack hitting on 5+, and to go thru 3++ inv.In a simulation I ran promptly I managed to kill papa smurf Marneus Calgar Even ordinary Archon is a cc powerhouse with access to power weapon causing isntant death, shadow field and combat drugs. Kabalite Trueborn are the firepower powerhouses - 4 blasters and 2 dark lancers for tank hunting anyone? The wargear to make squad use both ofensive and defensive grenades is called phantasm launcher, and its really cheap for large squad. Scourges -moved to the fast attack! - can pump out ungodly amount of poisoned death - 30 assault shots from 10 strong squad, before adding any splinter canons! Wyches are slightly weaker, with only few special weapons sprinkled but cheaper overall, and their elite version - the bloodbrides are simply devastating for the price. Warriors are the best antipersonnel basic shooter right now with bs4 rapid fire poison, though dark lances are more scarce - 1 per 10 - and slightly costlier. raiders are slightly costlier and have plethora of upgrades ot chose from - ranging from -6 inches to enemy weapons range, thru 5+ inulnerable save to +2d6 movement (for a possible 36"!) to re-roll to hit for all splinter rifles and pistols onboard (not cannons!) ravagers come with move 12" and fire all weapons, are about as cheap as before and for a few point more can get 5++ inv... nightraven bomber is ungodly due to having 2 s9 versions of dark lances and up to 4 add-on missiles of various types which it can shoot all after 12" move. make the 3 of them, and drop 12 s7 re-roll to wound pie plates on any horde , or demolish 3 heavy tanks in a first salvo. plus it has a s9 ap2 large blast lance bomb to drop along its 36 " turbo boost move...

Sweet, I've already started planning, and I'm doing a mix of old and new with kit bashing. New helmets with old warriors along with new parts. Plus I really love the new Agoniser piece on the warrior frame.

Clone Field: is a wargear item which allows the bearer to nullify D3 attacks directed at him each turn; the specific attacks are chosen by the bearer. Mutually exclusive with shadow field.
One of the most horrific pieces of wargear I have ever seen. Ever. And with a Shadow Field, holy hell!

Clone Field, along with Huskblade (Maybe Djinn Blade but i'm not too sure yet) and Ghostplate Armour. To me thats my Archon's nasty combination. When grouped with his Retinue, and a Raider transport you have an incredibly fast and potentially dangerous HQ choice. The only difficulty is that my Archon measures in at just under 150 points, and before you add the retinue and Raider, then it could be just as expensive.
I think most armies will gonna be a case of sacrificing what you want, for what you need
