There's a line in the codex that says they're just as likely to go after each other after defeating an enemy as anything else. but then the WE were always a bit... off.
As for them sparing things, the most mercy you could expect is a bolt to the chest.

I just wanted to ask anyone if they went to slayer day northampton and what they though of it? my chaos, world eaters, cam 4th out of around 50 and i drew with the guy that cam 3rd in grand tornement last year, my army is doin so well...

Even though the Girl in storm of Iron killed Kroegar, he had spared her for some reason. Even though he made her clean his armor and all that, he also protected her from the rest of the Bezerkers , and Iron Warriors.

Well, I now have A Chaos Warhound Titan, and I will be doing some unusual things with it. I am going to make it so it has ALOT of skulls, all linked together, draped along the sides, and in some of the front. Think sort of like the titan from the third book of Eisenhorn.

Storm of Iron, and Dead Sky Black Sun are my favorite books, because Honsou is my favorite character.

Dread Lime That would work. The Fantasy Hell Cannon would make for a lovely LatD Griffon barrel. Or, you take the structure of the AC list, and adapt it to use CSM tanks. I'd suggest making it an Iron Warriors sublist, since they have the most tank options. Just of the top of my head: HQ Chaos Landraider Elites Dreadnaught Chaos Landraider Troops Chaos Predator Traitor Leman Russ Fast attack CSM squad in Rhino Hvy Supposrt Defiler Traitor Bassilisk Vindicator Umm, in armoured company, troops are elites, are they not?
