Why is it that no one posts anything in this thread anymore.
I would post something, but I am afraid I do not have anything intelligent say except
that GW will be redoing Eldar right after they redo Tau (which is next).
Expect a new Eldar codex in about a year or so.
WHY MUST WE WAIT!?
I mean, Tau is soooo much newer than Eldar and in a less desperate need of a
revision. I mean, Eldar is pretty much like 2nd edition (although its really 3rd).
GW just revises the races that most noobs play like Tau, to potentially just earn more
profit.
Ehhh.... Nonetheless, Eldar will soon (alhtough not that soon) be revised for
4th edition. Rejoice, my Eldar comrades!

The Eldar's release is after the new Cityfight book, Cities of death.
The Eldar release WILL feature a new Avatar, plastic wraithlord, and a new HQ - one whom has ascended to greatness in ALL aspects. It means you'll be able to do uuber beard units such as swooping hawk wings with a death spinner. lol
I've also been informed that Warlocks will be a whole lot nastier.
No new guardian sprue, but quite a few of the other things will be re-done.

Yeah but nobody cares about Cityfight...I mean, I don't even know what it is.
BTW, a plastic wraithlord makes me sad.

cityfight is like.. an expansion pack to 40k. best way to say it. special rules for fighting in urban environments and suchlike.
And why do you dislike the idea of a PLASTIC wraithlord? It means it'll probably be a new model, with better sculpting, looking nicer..

As for city fight,it's terribly fun and very good for themeing armies.Apparently GW are making some very nice terrain for it.....Very nice indeed...... ninja

Ok, heres why. When you see a wraithlord, you are all like, "Cool a giant robot *Picks up*... dude, its like... really light. ROBOTS SHOULD BE HEAVY!" That's pretty much the only reason. A plastic model will be nicer with more of a chance to convert it, but I really like the feeling of having a heavy model. Anyways, I can always fill the model with lead....

That's just because the models are all ancient, from GW's "40k = cyberpunk" days. NEW models would look good.

I believe you. Do they have any cool heavy units? Like the equivalent to a wraithlord or a falcon?

Frankly I'm a fan of the Old Cyber-punk models. Works quite well witht e concept of Harlequins in my opinion. Mind you I'm still tinkering with the concept list printed in the journal.

Do it.I have 1,500 points of them with the ol' models. If people paint them like the current GW style(dark and moody style) they look pretty damn cool.Pink Eldar for the win. cool

Then why did GW re do the Space Marines hmmm? To earn more profit from these so called "noobs"? God I hate how people can be so stupid. GW dosnt re do armys to make money from noobs they do it to make money from all of the gamers

The Tau are being re-done because they are relitvly easy to fix. While GW are working on the Tau they are also making big plans for Orks and Eldar. The TAu bring them more time for development, same as the City fight supplement will.

Belive it or not GW do think ahead of time.Would people like a quickly thrown together Eldar army thats full of flaws or wait and have one thats good?

That's half-correct.
They re-did Space Marines first because a LOT of people play them, the models didn't need re-doing, and with just a few new bits of plastic, they released a bunch of kits that increase the use of the army.
They re-did Tyranids because they looked goofy and cartoony (3rd ed carnifex with that toothy grin, case in point.) and it destroyed the feel of the game. Now they're actually scary looking.
They're releasing Tau because, once again, the majority of their army (The Tau and Kroot Sprue, as well as all the vehicles) are completely FINE. They don't need to be re-done, so it's just a question of a few new metal casts, which are easier to produce.
They're doing the new city fight because it's a supplement that all armies use, which means all the newly released armies will get more attention, while making sure that the older army players don't feel too neglected.
They're releasing metal guard with that because whenever they release new guard, some weirdo wants to make an entire army of them, and that means BIG money.
THEN comes the Eldar. Apart from a few vehicles and the basic Guardian sprue, next to everything gets a new model. It's a long time coming, but they've needed this much time to update everything to an appropriate standard.
