The Kitsune Hanyou Ginger Snapple Genbu Kaiden would make a lot more sense and be more interesting if you read through the Mysterious Play first. Or atleast I think so. That way you can make connections through the series, and you have a sense of who the characters are and what has become of them (those who are revealed). It's also really intersting to see some of the similarities through the series (Takiko vs. Miaka in the ice, ect). Did anyone else crack up when the saw the pic of Nakago's earring in book 3? I was all "OMGNAKAGO!" and then I found it funny for some reason. I hope Watase-sama puts a few more things in like that. LMAO!!!! I did that exact thing. i was like OMG NAKAGO rofl rofl rofl I obbsesed over that for a few hours until I realized it was just an ear xd But yeah...I love stuff like that

Hey, I'm not sure if this has already been said or not, but does anyone else thing that Hagus might be another celestial warrior? (excuse me if I refer to the charaters by the English names) i think that would be a very interesting twist if he was. It seems as though only the celestial warriors have supernatural powers, so it would make sense. But that's just me. PLEASE tell me if he is. I'm dying to know. xd

The Manda If you read that in the English version then I'm gonna have to discount it >_> I discount anything in regards to Viz. I have volume three in Japanese and I'll go check on that later. Because with the era changes there could be a change there that Viz never quite got in the translation. I need scanned proof to believe darnit XD The series is going to have to be longer than six volumes, five are already out in Japanese and she still has a bit more ground to cover. I honestly hope it doesn't drag any longer than 10 volumes personally. But however long it is I will continue to follow it because I have the patience and I love this series that much ^^

It's really scary. Trust me, Nakago's hair does not look like a mullet. I think its uber sexy... heart *has a fangirl moment* So yeah.... Anyways, I just read the fourth book in FY: GK.... OMG Hangus (I'm not sure if I spelled that right. sweatdrop ) is so hott. *has another fangirl moment* And he was nice to those kids! heart heart heart I was crying with joy when I read that. Hikitsu was hot too...so was Soren (of course, Rimudo/Uruki is always hot)... Why does Yuu Watase have to make all her guys so extremely gorgeous? gonk It's not fair *wishes the guys in her school looked like guys from Yuu Watase's book...and had powers too* Now that I'm done being a fangirl, who else thinks Hagus might be a celestial warrior? Come on, people! You know it would be cool. (or maybe I just loves his character so much -I have a thing for the villians with long hair xd - that I wish it were true so he wouldn't have to die...) Ok, I'm done ranting heart

Nakago SO does not have a mullet... he's got fashionable layers. Aren't mullets really short on top of the head and then long near the bottom? Definetly not what mah Nakago has domokun xd

Nakago_Chan I'm collecting the manga's because I got the impression the anime left out a lot (and it's so true so far that it is xp )
But as for the whole realisim, I can't say anything about GK, since it's still pretty new... but I know with the orriginal FY, when the Suzaku Seshi started dropping like flys, that gave me enough realizim. I was under the impression nothing would happen to them... especially the more prominent characters, but that was proven way wrong for me. I know this was said a really long time ago, but I was digging through the posts and the part I bolded makes me think. I actually disagree with you when you think that when they all died, it gave it realisim. I agree 100% with you that when the main-ish characters die, it makes the story more realistic. However, I think they all died too fast. Most of their deaths had no meaning. Take Hotohori for example. He just rushed at Nakago and died. It wasn't as... *special* as Nuriko's death. Her/his death was more dramatic. hotohori's detah for me was mroe like "Oh, hotohori died. I should cry now. Nah, I have to keep reading" I love Hotohori's character! But that's just me. Yay, that was irrevelant (God, I can't spell today x.x)

Though when I read the Manga before watching the Anime I cried when Nuriko died, but when I watched the anime, I knew that part was coming and I cried even harder into my pillow when he died. sweatdrop
The anime does leave out a lot of stuff compared to the manga though, but when you watched Fushigi Yugi I think you get a better understanding of the other Pristess of the four gods then you did in the manga. I was slightly confused on them in a way because they ddin't put enough detail into it about them. thats what I thought at least. Genbu kaiden helps you understand the story of the very first Pristess of the four gods. they didn't go into much detail about Takiko in FY. I'm slightly scared to read the end of Genbu Kaiden when it comes to the end cause I think it'll end bad from what we heard in Fushigi Yugi...

Limdo is so beautiful i mean GOOD LOOKING I HOPE him and taiko gets to be in love like Tamahome and MIAKA....THEY LOOK so good together..

The way I read it was beasically liek this: Hotohori: Durh, let me go and try and stab Nakago with my sword in a reckless and not though out manner. Nakago: What the F*** is he doing? *kills hotohori* Hotohori: Umm...whoops I'm dying. Hotohori seemed like such a smart character...but yeah. That sort of reminded me of Miaka's stupidity when she lost the shensto-pou-thingy (I don't remeber exactly what it was called.) I mean seriously, I understand her believeing the Illusion but why would Nakago have sex with her????!!! Had there been no Illusion, and those were the real events, this is what miaka would have expected to happen: Miaka: *walks in to Nakago's tent* Nakago! I have to make love to you to get the -insert name of the thing- back from you! Nakago: *shrugs* Ok! And this is what would have happened: Miaka: *walks in to Nakago's tent* Nakago! I have to make love to you to get the -insert name of the thing- back from you! Nakago: Die, b***h! *kills Miaka* Stupid Charaters. They need some common sense. I didn't see the anime so I wouldn't know. I don't think the ending will be bad. Yuu Watase has a thing with making happy endings, or sorta happy endings. She did say that she was probaly going to change the story from what it said in FY:SS. (Or something like that.) I just hope it's not too corny and unrealistic like in FF:SS. I think I would have to cry (of annoyance, not happiness) if it was...
