Aurora looked back at Isaran after the ferals in front of her fried to a crisp. A pang of worry struck her as she noticed he looked much worn out. She was about to quickly jump over to see him when she heard a roar behind her. She jumped to the side to avoid the swipe of the lion, but it still got her. Pain rippled through her as she felt a claw snag her left hind leg. She emitted a mix between a yip and a growl and a blast of wind struck the loin forcefully. It flew back into the wall, partially going through. Aurora jumped at it the best she could and clamped her jaws on its back; giving her head a good shake she heard a snap and the lion howled, but didn't move. Aurora let go and stumbled back, her leg steadily dripping blood.

Freed from the initial four, Raerin managed to get another one by jumping on its stomach and biting its lips off. It screamed there while he kept clawing the stomach until it was wide open. Then he jumped off. one of them bit his ear and he threw it off with impossible force.
He was aware of things around him, and it wasn't looking too good. Most of them were worn out or badly injured by now. He wasn't, and he knew he had to do something. He really wasn't sure what, since magic had already been used by everyone else and didn't seem to do enough good. He strained his mind, trying to think of something while still dodging around another feral and letting it fall over as it tried to chase him under its own legs.
((My next post involving Raerin will probably be the one where he does what he's going to do...you'll see))

Azriel jumps of one of the walls and slams into one of the feral, knocking it over, with one large slash he takes out the throat of his enemy. As he is doing this another tackles him, forcing Azriel to his back. He fights to get gfree taking a lot of damage in the process. He slams his paw into the side of his opponents face knocking him out. He gets up breathing heavily, scratches from the lions attacks all over his body. He was getting extreamly fatigued.

Jade had wasted no time shutting the door to the bedroom again at Azriel's word. She quickly ran and slid under the bed curling up as she covered her cheetah ear's to try and block out the sound of the fighting as she trembled a bit. She didn't know what was going on but she didn't like the sight she saw of all the fighting. She hoped it would be over soon.

Voila shot more ice at some ferals. They were slowly surrounding her. One feral lunged at Voila's arms. Luckily it's teeth missed, but a clawed paw came down on Voila's arm. The lion feral sunk its claws into Voila's aam. With her other hand, Voila made ice slam into the feral. She fell on the ground, her arm pinned by the dead lion. Great....Now I'm a sitting duck. Scratch that. I'm a sitting eagle.

Raerin danced around a few more ferals, but he was starting to get frustrated. That, and he felt...unconscionably mad, for some reason.
He felt like there was some kind of fuse lit to a bomb inside him. A feral jumped at him, and whatever it was exploded.
The red wolf howled suddenly, loudly and shrilly, and purely animal. Isaran gasped: The sound waves from the howl were...on fire...literally. The waves of sound burned around the entire hallway, turning most of the ferals to ash but passing harmlessly through everything else. They went through all of the walls, but didn't touch anything except ferals. They went outside the house and charred all of the ferals outside...
All of them.
There was dead silence for nearly a full minute while the burning waves dissipated, and then Raerin collapsed.
((Human balancing factor-Think "limit break" if you've ever played Final Fantasy, but I'm going to call this a "Soulbreak" for originality and distinction, among other reasons. More information has now been added to the first set of posts.
Raerin's soulbreak, Burning Howl, is what was used here.))

Azriel looks around astounded. He moves over to Raerin and check him. He seemed to still be alive so Azriel moves to the door, looking outside he sees nothing.. He walks back in and looks at the others "I don't know what that was but The ferals are all... Dead...." He sighs heavily "I'm going to go check on Jade." Azriel walks to the back of the house and into the room Jade was in "Jade you can come out now."

Isaran got up slowly, having to support himself with the chair at first, but then he managed to walk with little trouble, focusing a bit more weight and time on his right leg. He knelt as slowly to Raerin and put his hands near the wolf's head. "As I suspected," he said, after giving a short look at his mind. "His body's fatigued and his mind is badly weakened, if not damaged. Be careful of him if he wakes up, but just until he's gotten some rest..."

Voila managed to push the feral off and walked over to Raerin. "Wow! That was tight!" She looked at him. Good that he's alive. She turned to look at Isaran. "What just happened?"

Aurora was forzen on the spot, eyes wide open completly forgetting about her wound. After a couple second she breathed again. "Whoa," she said softly and turned around to see Raerin collapsed and Isaran and viola standing over him. She limped over as quickly as possible. She nudge Raerin gently and saw that he was still breathing. She looked up to Isaran. "Yeah what was that?" she asked after Viola

Glaived had a gash onhis head and he did not notice it; he was dazed. Enid heard voices saying that the ferals were dead. she opened the door warily and asked, "what happened?" she then got to her feet unsteadily and staggers toward her brother. she also asked if Raerin was fine. she had not really heard everything, since she was in a room.

At the sound of Azriel's voice Jade peeked out cautiously from under the bed. She sniffled a bit before quickly crawling out from under it and running over to Azriel. She tackled him in a hug as tears began to fall down her cheeks. "I was so scared. I though you were going to disappear to." she cried having been thinking of how her parents parents did after strange creatures attacked.

Isaran stood up slowly while he was asked questions, clearly thinking and collecting his answer from far reaches of his memory. "Firstly, that was not magic. At least...not elven magic," he said somewhat slowly. "I recall, from some ancient texts I read a bit too long ago...there was some form of great power it was believed humans were capable of, that was almost unattainable. It was believed that this forbidden power consumed one's very soul, and thus the ability was known as a "Soulbreak". The texts suggest that Soulbreaks are only available to humans and half-humans, and each depends rather specifically upon the person...
While it obviously doesn't destroy one's soul, the use of it is still quite dangerous in this state, and has brought Raerin precariously close to an edge he otherwise wouldn't even approach."

"Huh," Aurora said looking back down to Raerin. She sat, slouching to one side so she didn't put any weight on her bad leg. "It looks like at an extreme, it just might kill a person," She added after sitting and looking over Raerin once again. "You said to becareful of him when he awakens, will he be fearl-ish?"
