Kibo smiled at Nini.
Kibo: Welcome aboard, then. I'm glad you'll join.
He looks up as Storm approaches, and chuckles.
Kibo: Not at all, Storm. Have a seat.
He looks back over at Nini.
Kibo: Yep, Commodore. I command two ships. The Godspeed and the Lightning. I command the Godspeed, while Storm here is captain of the Lightning. And, since you're my first new crew member in a while, I'll even let you choose what ship you werve on. You can either serve under me or Storm. Neither of us will be insulted if you choose the other. How about it?

Nini paused. They were giving her a choice. What should she do? She didn't know either of them. How was she supposed to chose? "Um..." she looked back and forth between them. "How about I let you choose? I don't know, and you must have a need for crew more on one than the other. Maybe?"

Actually, we each have the same amount of crew members. We technically don't need any more crewmen, but I like company of people who aren't dead, as much of the crew is, somewhat, and I'm sure Storm thinks the same.

Storm slide into a chair across from both of them and grinned.
"Yes, the dead don't count. Useful though they may be, it's not quiet the same as haveing a living and breathing crew member on board then a cold, hard one."
She shrugged and took a swig from a bottle that suddenly appered in her hand then offered it to Nini.
"I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name. What was it?"

Kibo smiles, and leans back in his chair.
Kibo: Yes, I'd like to know that as well. I'm surprised I didn't ask you already. How rude of me.

In a gust of wind, Gwendolyn appears behind Kibo. She spoke mockingly to the Captain. Oh, yes Cap'n very rude. How do you intend recruit someone you do not even know the name of? Even if it were a false name, is not a name better than no name at all? She raised her eyebrows and smirked.

Kibo grins, and turns to Gwendolyn. His tone is tinged with mocking matching hers.
Kibo: Yes, indeed. But you don't need to make me feel even worse for my rudeness, now do you?

Gwendolyn smiled. Of course not, Cap'n. But I daresay it wouldn't matter if you gave any more of that rum to her, now wouldn't it Cap'n?

Kibo: If she would like some, she can have all she wants.
Kibo reaches into his vest and produces another bottle of rum, which he places on the table.

Storm grinned at Gwen and Kibo.
"Kibo, if you give her anymore the stuff, she'll not likely remember her name, much less make one up on the spot! You humans have such low tolerances for drinks! It's not even a strong one at that, no offense intended, Comadore."

Nini stared at the three at the table. Dead? Did they just say dead? "No, it's ok. My name's Nini," she stuttered, still a little surprised about the dead comment. "I don't need any more rum. I...I'm not quite used to the stuff." She was feeling a bit lightheaded already from the little bit she had had. "But did you say dead? You were joking, right? I mean...that just doesn't make sense. You can't have dead crewmates...can you?" She actually wasn't sure. She didn't think it was possible, and didn't want to look gullible to people she barely even knew. But here in Tortuga, she wasn't sure of anything.

Kibo's lips curl into a grin. His teeth split, and he utters a loud laugh.
Kibo: I thought you'd never ask.
Kibo stands up, and walks to an empty portion of the pub, still in view of Nini. He slowly unsheathes two of his blades, and crosses them. Instantly, a translucent man appears, looking around, his eyes eventually settling on Nini. He smiles.
Man: I see you're showing off for the women again?
Kibo: Nope. She's a new crew member, and I'm just showing her part of my crew.
Kibo grabs his third blade, unsheathes it in a wide arc, and stabs it into the ground. The translucent man slowly becomes opaque, until he looks as solid as anyone else in the tavern. He walks over to Nini, and extends his hand.
Man: Captain Chris Farind, at your service.
He bends over at the waist, and kisses Nini's hand.
Kibo: Hey hey hey. Easy now. You are dead, after all.

Nini's eyes widened. This isn't possible. It must be the rum. Nini shook her head and drew her hand back. "This can't be real...I've had too much rum. Please, let me in on this little magic trick! I don't like to be tricked, especially when I'm tipsy."

Kibo puts his hands in the air, and smiles.
Kibo: No trick. It's wholly real. Would you like to see more? Maybe someone from your past?
