OMG I've been away from this forum for sooo long, but I finally practiced my bassoon yesterday. first time all summer.
things that have changed from my last post:
yay I made the top band
and I'm gonna do Tenor marching instead of Alto now.

I've played the bassoon for, what is it, 6 or 7 years now. For marching and field show I do color gaurd. I love playing the bassoon and I have played it in recidals and solo shows. I'm excited about playing in the future. biggrin

i have been play oboe for 3 1/2 years now an i enjoy very much, i m playing trumpet this year for marching band i have only been play it for 1 yr i know it kind of weird for a woodwind player specially oboe player to switch to a brass instrument.... good double reeds OBOE!!!!!!!!!! biggrin

I've been playing Oboe for..... 5 years now.
For marching band, I play in the percussion section. Only Bass Drum left.

I've been playing bassoon for almost a year now!!! Yay me!! I play bassoon in 8th grade concert band and Fox Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra's Academy Orchestra...should I do drumline or clarinet next year in marching band???

you can get these special straps (like the one you sit on)
last year i did

it was like hallarious
that was how i broke my toe though sweatdrop

BASSOONS ALL THE WAY~~~ I've been playing it for 2 years now... I switched from flute and I'm so glad I did!!! Hm, I end up playing base drum and I absolutely hate marching with it... Ugh, it's becuase I've got 0 stamina...

I use to be in pit, and hated it. Now I'm in color gaurd. I enjoy wacking the low brass with my flag, they never play in time. xp

How do you think it was for me to go to tuba? lol I've been playing the oboe for about 5 1/2 years, played sousaphone for marching band, I can rape our percussionists on marimba, played bass drum on the drumline, tis good ^^ I also twaddle on the English Horn, but holding hurts my thumb too much ever since the principle E-hornist lost the neck strap xd

I've been playing the oboe for about a year and a half. I taught myself. I was the only oboist this past school year, but next year there's a freshman playing the oboe. So, I'm excited to have someone else to play with.. even if he is going to be better than me!
