I play the alto-sax in marching and concert bands, but I also play the soprano-sax in my spare time. I absolutely love my soprano-sax (I named it Soprinny. Lol! sweatdrop ) and I started playing it a year ago. I've played the alto for almost five years.

Silver- I want a soprano so bad! I'm going to save up for one once I buy a nice alto...it's gotten to the point where I've simply outgrown my old one. Meh, spending money.

I'll play pretty much what's needed for a gig. I own an alto, tenor, and soprano. Right now i'm still in a college marchingband and a 17 piece jazzband. I play Tenor for both but if they need me on another sax i'll do it i just like the 1st tenor chair cuz i get alot of solos.

I am probably going to play bari sax next year (I play alto right now)! It will be awesome. My boyfriend played it this year, but he's switching to baritone and our band needs someone to play it next year, so I volunteered-- well, I actually told my bf about it and he told my BD about it and such. xp
On a random note, I am trying out for section leader (alto sax) on Tuesday. If I don't get it (which I probably won't since I am but a froshie this year) I will play bari. 3nodding
I'm looking to buy a new alto, as well. I know someone who bought a sax by the brand of Monique (I had never heard of it before) for about $600 or so. He said he loved it, but I am wondering what you all have heard about those and how good they are for marching and concert band, as opposed to jazz. Your thoughts?
I'll probably try to get a used Selmer. I've had my alto for about 6 years now, since it was my first sax, and it is not very... advanced.

Oh, and my school's jazz warm-ups are so incredibly fun to play. Completely random, I know, but I have them stuck in my head right now.
