[Q] Matiko And, BTW Q, as I said in my previous post, I can complain about anything I want. Why? Again, because of my 1st Amendment rights. If you're getting tired of it, then stop telling people to do things they don't wanna do. In the end, they'll be less annoyed with you, and you won't be causing yourself unnecessary stress. As they told me at my last job, worry about yourself first. If you want to make such a difference, go and vote. You also have the right to boycott things too, so go and do some of that. Then maybe you'll feel better about having done *something* to change things, and leave people like me, who choose not to act, alone. Well, I know you can decide not to vote, but I am saying you should vote. And me complaining about your complaining is just as much a right under the first amendment as your's is. And secondly, I can't vote. You know that I would if I could, and I'd vote in every damned election that came by. The presidential, congressional, every damned one. But I can't vote, because I'm 16. And I think it's pathetic that someone like me cares more about the country than you. To be honest, I could careless about the States. If I hadn't lived my whole life here, I'd move. But, unfortunately, I have, so, I'm kinda stuck here. And, I'm glad for you that you care more about this country than I do. I'd start caring about this country, when this country realizes it doesn't have the right to order other countries, that it's making an a** of itself by making such a big deal out of gay rights, when nearly 98% of the rest of the world doesn't care either way, and when the US finally gets off its high horse.

I hate politics. I hate talking about it, I hate reading about it, I hate watching it on tv. Now, I must congratulate you, Matiko, on saying something so utterly incredible. You have inspired to me to say something more than my vaguely irrelevant rant on that one chick that dropped out of the race. If the only people that "care" enough about this country to vote are the right-wing conservatives, what the hell makes you think things are ever going to get any better? That's like going on a hunger strike to protest being starved. Granted, the high horse we are on is partly a result of a gross malfunction in our electoral college bullshit, but that doesn't mean that you (and others) can't do something to change that. You sound like a whiny kid.

You all can actually kiss my a**. You have a lot of nerve to attack me on my opinions and decisions. Decisions that I made after well thought out discussions with a lot of my friends.
This is why I never get involved in politics (yet another reason I don't vote). People can't respect an opinion or decision when it comes to voting.
Vague: And you really out to be ashamed of yourself, encouraging such rude remarks, when they're unnecessary. I can understand why JoVo left Gaia. I'm also through with this discussion. You all can take my decision not to vote and suck it up. Now go find someone else to bully.

Your defensive-ness indicates a lack of confidence in your desicion.
Give me five good reasons to not vote.

Catspaw Your defensive-ness indicates a lack of confidence in your desicion. Give me five good reasons to not vote. I should say that I was not trying to encourage name calling, but intelligent debate only. And I suggest you stop arguing, tho I won't try to censor you. You're all taking this very personally. The reason I didn't enter this discussion, even though I definitely have an opinion, is that it's quite obvious neither side will concede, and all relevant points were made early on.

why is everyone arguing and getting so angry latley?
it's upseting, not only to me, i'm pretty sure. this is suppose to be a place where we can all come and chill and talk about things that we usually can't with others either because they don't know about our sexual preference or they just don't understand.
i get it if you don't share the same beliefs/opinions with someone, but do you really have to get into a fight over it?
can't you just accept it, move on, and not bring up something with the person you know doesn't think the same way?
i miss JoVo too...i want him to come back.
but most of all i don't want anyone else to leave.
so, please...can we stop?

tahariel Catspaw Sorry. I get a little over-aggressive sometimes. *hugs* it's okay I don't wanna leave, I just want my belief/opinion respected. I just don't want to vote. I shouldn't have to give anyone any reason why. and Tahariel, I'm sorry that I took it so personally as well.

Hey, guys. Well, I've got the Member List all up to date. Sorry I was late on that -- I usually try to stay on top of it but I've been so busy trying to move into college.
Which, by the way, is awesome. blaugh
Also, I would just like to remind those of you who have not sent me your member info as of yet to head over to the Member List thread and get it to me. smile
