"And I thought my body was the only thing I could put my trust in," she thought. It wasn't to say that she didn't love Rivven, but she was just used to things changing. Nevermind, it was too exhausting to think of how this happened. She would sort it when she was better. "Well, I daresay a girl will ******** us over less than a boy will...I'm not sure about names, I'm sure it won't protest if we wait a day."

"I suppose she won't, at that." Rivven said, confused by the rest of what she'd said. "Well, I don't know what I was so worried about, but I'm glad we're all fine. We're here together, and with a healthy child. I don't know what else I could ask for." he chuckled.

"You must be exhausted. Should I get you anything, to be ready to when you need to put the baby to sleep and get some rest yourself?"

After the few sharp cries after being forced out the baby had fallen silent once Morgan began to nurse her save the occasional gurgling. Still swaddled and held firmly in the arms of her parents, the baby girl opened her eyes slowly. Shades of aqua glinted in the light briefly before disappearing behind eyelids once more. She shifted slightly in the blanket, curling closer to her holder. Soft wisps of dark hair adorned the newborn's crown in contrast to the fair complexion she had, mimicking Morgan's easily.

"The baby to sleep? Didn't it just wake up?" of course, who culd really answer that? "Anyways, Rivven, we have work to do. Now that the baby's out I'm free to move around and not as vulnerable. I want this place renovated, we're going to remove the ghosts and straighten up the place- I want my school." It sounded cold hearted, what she was saying, but the whole experience of giving birth, of having a husband with her through it, and holding a daughter- well, if she let hersef stop to think about it she might cry.

"I'll be glad to do what I can. I have no idea how to get the ghosts out or run a school, but I'll lend a hand in what I can." he was a bit confused by the jump of subject, and sounded it, but not doubtful. I suppose at least one of them isn't nearly so tired as I'd supposed.

Morgan was wiped, but she was awake. "Ask Chanti about ant religious people or whatever around here, she'd probably know them. Quintilius might have ran by them too because of trading, but I'm not sure. I can take care of the school part, but I'll need Wedsday and most likely Ultima to come here. Pale would know everything too of course, see if she's around. I can never feel her ki."

"I'll have to find them by guessing at where they are, myself, so it's no real problem if you can't pinpoint them. Just a matter of course." Rivven thought on it a moment. He was still feeling weak, but at least that lack of strength was all he felt, no illness yet. "I think I have some idea of where I can find Quintilius. I might start there." Kill two birds with one stone, so to speak.

"After that I can bring Wedsday and Mr. Ultima, I'm sure. I should be able to take care of all of that yes, just given a little time. But shall I start now...?" he brought himself off of his one knee, but didn't stand up quite yet, shifting his stance, roughly still on level with her.

"I....huh." Still holding their new daughter, Morgan's head fell back ontop the pillow but her eyes had closed seconds before that. Deep asleep, the exhaustion had caught up with her unexpectedly.

Rivven smiled, and gently tucked the covers up around Morgan, making sure she and the child were well situated, and took off quietly out the door, shutting it behind him before he making an annoyed hiss and dropped his body against the wall, rubbing hard at his forehead. It did nothing to ease the headache or dizziness. A few moments later he made his way out of the building in silence.

Perhaps a little more than two hours later, Rivven was silently shutting the rooms door behind him, removing his coat and boots and setting them aside. Exhausted, but feeling better, he wiped a small trickle of a dark brown liquid away from his cheek, wetting his thumb in his mouth and making sure it left no stain. He hoped he'd washed his torso clean as well, he'd been in a hurry this time. Removing his shirt but leaving on his his pants and socks, he tightened a bandage tied around his left forarm in place of the normal glove, and slipped, careful as he could be not to disturb either, into bed beside Morgan. Hopefully he'd have some sleep before light came or the child woke.

But like all children, this one woke her up sometime around three past. The baby had laid between herself and Rivven, and it's cries caused her to accidentally hit him when she awoke. Fumbling around, it took her a few seconds to cast a light and reach the girl. That was when she noticed it: "Rivven, what's wrong with you?"

"Sorry love? What do you mean...?" he held a hand to his head, shading his eyes from the light for a short moment as they adjusted, sitting up in the bed. His exposed torso would show some signs in the light. Nothing clear; no smudges or clear remnant. But there were in some places on his torso, back, neck and even face, very faint traces of a brown-ish color, though it seemed purely black in places. Those on his face would be very much remniscient of the lines of black which had appeared on his skin when he had coursed the chakra through his body before they're assualt on the invading zealots over a month ago.

Rivven realized this after a moment, and one side of his mouth twisted down harshly, just for a moment, before his face went very placid. "Oh... damn..." He stuck his thumb in his mouth again, and wiped forcefully at his shoulder where some remained, causing it to fade even more, to nothing, slowly. The other hand pulled the covers up a little as if that would help. "This... I'll need to wash it off later..." his face remained perfectly neutral. He was going to have to need to tell her more, probably explain why it was there, he was sure. But how much... what was safe to say, and what would be better unknown?

"Don't even try that with me." Morgan was a paranoid creature by nature, and her rough truth was at least concern for someone she cared about. She knew that there was plenty she didn't know about her husband, and that had been fine before. As long as what she saw then was acceptable to her she didn't worry about his past. Afterall, she was reluctant to talk about her own. But now that they shared a daughter she needed, she felt, to know. Was this some affect of his foreign energy system? She tugged at his sheets, tired.

"Hm..." Rivven's face twisted up breifly again, and he shifted, sighing, and settled back.

"For the ceremony used to raise a construct from dead, ink mixed with blood is used, in specific designs changed slightly depending on desired effect. I've been using a part of the ceremony recently, every week or so. My body has been... growing weak on it's own, dizzy spells, lack of coordination, illness. I do it once a week, and effectively halts any such decline in my condition. It started up maybe a month ago, and for about a week after each, I'm fine, but then it all starts to come back rather quickly." He said it all blankly, with a straight face. "I've been researching the books Quintilius aquired to try and find out why. I... didn't think it would be best to tell you before. You were pregnant, and I don't think you could have done anything to help it if you had known. I didn't want to... worry you unnecessarily..." he admitted in guilty tones.

Almost every line had served to awaken her temper. "Then get ou-" she stopped herself, rearranging the baby and blinking hard as she shook her head. No, that wasn't logical right now. She could yell at him later, when he was better and it wasn't the middle of the night.

"You're not fine now." she stated, once again in that blunt tone "How do I fix you?"

"My body is perfectly normal now- fine. But given several days, I expect it'll wear down like that again, and I'll have to apply the part of the process as a temporary relief again. So, I'm not fine in the long run, I guess." he sighed, and laid back, looking over to her apologetically.

"I'm sorry. I'd be trying to fix it now if I knew what was causing it. The only thing I have so much of a hunch to is that maybe it's some sort of a delayed response to the lack of the bond. Magical feed between controller and construct. I thought perhaps it was loss of the energy from the other side, meaning my body had to support the magic still needed to some extent to keep me animate by itself. But the books so far haven't had much mention of what happens to released constructs, much less hints of what's going on. They're more like personal notes than a good text, disorganized, so I'm having to sort of search them page by page for anything useful."
