Jin-hua would find a rather impressive weight crashing into her legs, pinning the girl briefly....yet it didn't take a genius to realize the force wasn't all that it should have been for something of this size and made of solid stone. Exerting an artificial control over the gravity here, the Lunatone would rise once more, staring at the girl with an intense gaze ">Only one<" It said, it's tone of voice rather.....dark. It seemed she wouldn't be getting out of this one without a fight!
Alice would wake groggily... had she fallen asleep? She did shut down on a system programmed to resemble a circadian rhythm, but she could generally override it when busy, but perhaps the water and the cold had... oh. Bizarre singing Flabebe, a tiny village, and being tied up like she'd been a couple times when she was being operated on in the lab? This was either a very weird dream, or a very unfortunate situation. Unable to understand anything that either the Shroomish or the singer said, she'd been content to watch the confusing scene (thinking it was probably her REM generator on the fritz)... but as they were dragged back towards the waiting Aron, she started to panic. She struggled against her bonds, trying to reach Vorpal-- if she could cut herself free, she could grab Vorpal, and maybe challenge the Shroomish, who seemed to be the leader here, for their freedom.
Vorpal, meanwhile, had been desperately trying to think of a plan since they'd awoke in this place. He rarely slept, and he certainly didn't dream anymore, so he'd known from the minute his eye opened that this had to be real. Furthermore, he wasn't insane enough to dream something like this up. Fairy King? Shrimpkins? Fertilize?? What fresh hell was this? He spat a string of curses, grateful for once that Alice couldn't understand him. What the hell did they want from them? They were some kind of... insane tiny gardens? He flailed furious, the strange vines keeping him from fully phasing through. There had to be some way to reason with them... and he couldn't help coming back to word "fertilize". The scientists at the lab had discussed ways of fertilizing the group in order to keep the earth healthy... there'd been experimenting with all-natural options like mulch, which was made from...
>WAIT!< Vorpal shouted, roaring over the bizarre group. >Wait! You need fertilizer, right? Or something to make into fertilizer?< He managed to slip his cloth out of the binds, stretching to point at Alice's nearest top pocket.
Alice, who'd been flailing in a manner that just made her clothes twist uncomfortably, paused. What was he doing? There was only one thing in there, and it couldn't be that useful... could it? She bite her lip, and leaned over as best she could to give Vorpal a better reach. "I trust you," she asserted as calmly as she could, trying not to think of the Aron.
The Honedge would have smiled if he could have. Brave girl. He'd try to make sure her trust wasn't misplaced. He fished, finding the thing he wanted and balancing it on his banner. The Cheri Berry. >Here!< he shouted once again, holding it up for all to see. >This'll make some fine fertilizer... and you can have it if you free us.< On an impulse, he stretched far enough to tap Alice's jaw lightly.
She blinked. It was a familiar signal, certainly, but... here and now? Well, she didn't have any better ideas. She opened her mouth... and caught the soaring Cheri Berry gently betwixt her teeth, careful not to break the skin.
>Otherwise my friend here is going to swallow it. She'll destroy all those good nutrients with whatever creepy oils and electrical parts are inside her. Even if you grind us both into dust, I bet we won't have half the power that even that little Cheri Berry would have on its own.< He was showboating now, a habit picked up from hanging around egotistic researchers all competing for grants, but in front of this crowd, he felt he needed to. He stared right at the king. >So?< Vorpal remarked, sounding far braver than he felt.

Argyle's arm was strong. But his aim was not. Instead of flying into the distance, it bounced right off a nearby stone and ricocheted off. It whizzed by the youth's head, crashing into the mountainside behind him. So at least he hadn't been struck in the face!
... but when he looked behind him, he might wish it had. An endless seem of Roggenrolla, all slobbering like the one at his feet was, came pouring out of a crack in cave wall. They rushed out, all chittering cheerfully... and all heading right for the group.

The Magby shook slightly under the Heatmor's gaze, but tried to keep his head up. He'd ignore the taunts as best he could-- all the monster wanted was a rise out of him, and he needed to at least attempt to focus. But even as he attempted a preliminary Leer to soften the Heatmor's defense, he couldn't help feeling that this whole battle was an exercise in futility.
A collective gasp of horror would rise up among the 'shrimpkins', many placing their hands to their faces or hiding their children. One even seemed to faint!
The Shroomish would nervously draw closer ">Nah....nah hold on ah sec. We kin work dis out eh?<" Motioning with his 'skirt' the Shroomish would silently instruct the Shrimpkins in charge of the rope, the Flabebe moving both Alice and Vorpal from the hole, but only lowering the latter of the pair.
">Nah if ya kin jus' cut te berry fir us, we'll let yeah both go eh?<" The Shroomish asked, still seeming nervous as he gestured to the Cheri Berry. It seemed like a simple enough request, and probably with a deeper meaning than was readily apparently.

Turning about, Argyle would find himself sweating despite the chilling effects of the Gastly in his arms. Gulping nervously the boy would mutter "...jinkies..." Before promptly turning around and booking it down the trail. He'd either out run them, or keep running till he found a bush he could leap into. Either way, a rolling stone gathered no moss, and he wasn't ready to find out if a rolling Roggenrola gathered any Argyle!

The leer did nothing, Lucifer wasn't effected by it, and he laughed it off. "> Too bad, was that supposed to do something? <" Lucifer said, edging towards the magby. "Use incinerate." Kiani said. Lucifer grinned maniacally and sent flames towards the magby.
She hadn't even been close to avoiding the pokemon. Ouch. That hurt. It was like being hit with a boulder. Ugh. The girl looked at the pokemon and the way it was watching her.. and knew. Unfortunately a battle was inevitable. Sighing, she looked at the pokemon she had on her. Longwei was starting to wear down from all the battling he'd done so far though he always served her faithfully. No, this time she wouldn't use him. Instead she looked to the newest pokeball, the one she hadn't named yet. Well now was better then never, to try and see how well he battled... With that, she released the Shieldon.

Well, that had been a bust. The small Magby couldn't stop shaking under that Heatmor's stare; the creature was far stronger than him, and there was a good chance he'd end up nothing more than sediment after this battle. But he had to keep trying. He hopped backwards, attempting to re-scale the rock from which he'd leapt in order to avoid the Heatmor's fire blast.
What the herd had in enthusiasm, it lacked in a sense of direction. Argyle would be able to outpace the Roggenrola wave for long enough that a couple in the front got distracted by a passing shiny and changed direction. They rushed across the volcanic wastled, and cheerful blue sea... a cheerful blue sea that Argyle was safe from.
As the group continued forward, they would catch sight of something odd. There was a group of three Lotad moving in different directions with a berry balanced on their head! It was obvious they were trying to go through difficult maneuvers and see if they could still keep the berry on their head from falling. It looked like they were having fun though! The first Lotad was attempting to run back and forth as fast as he could.
The second Lotad was throwing the berry up in the air and trying to catch it on his head before it fell.
The third Lotad was trying to attempt acrobatic moves with a berry still balanced on it's head!
Alexander and two pokemon can attempt to snatch the berry off the Lotad's head!

Well, that could have gone better... probably. At least they were no longer THAT close to the group of Aron. But now he had to cut the berry... which given it was in his currently-bound partner's mouth, and he was still kind of tied himself, was easier said than done. And apparently, this was a thing of great importance to the Shroomish and his subjects. He glanced back at Alice and began to flail awkwardly-- an attempt at communicating.
Alice, who'd never been happier that her outfit included shorts and not a skirt, glanced up at her worriedly miming Pokemon. "Ooo... wha?" she managed awkwardly through the berry. Poor, dear Vorpal... they needed to figure out better paths of communication than "pantomime, jump, and gesture wildly". After several seconds of confused staring, something clicked in her head... hopefully, it was what Vorpal wanted to click. She inhaled through her nose, and spat the berry towards her partner.
The sword then lurched out as far as he could, swinging to slice the berry.

In the Garden of Monsters
((Fumble -1 to attack rolls))
Swing and a miss, the magby easily dodged the flames. "> Ho ho, this is getting interesting. <" Lucifer said, seemingly uninterested in the fact that he was missing his opponent completely. Kiani, on the other hand, wasn't to pleased. "Get your head in the game Lucifer." Kiani said, rolling her eyes as Lucifer lazily rolled his shoulders. She hadn't put him on the defensive, but he seemed completely unworried. "Keep on your toes." Kiani added.
The attack would take Hiro off guard as ...Blight would find the attack coming at her. The power behind a single blow from this pokemon was staggering and it was more than likely to be a one hit knock out if she didn't do something.
So, maybe, she and Hiro both were surprise at his called.
"SLUDGE, aim for her face."
The plant pokemon almost jumped at the call as she spew the black inky like substance forward. The move would help to achieve a dodge that would never happen with such a slow reaction. (Fight can be found on page:26)
