At this point he was pretty sure that Rose was completely clueless when it came to him flirting with her, but he couldn't help trying to get a reaction out of her. Or that damn fox of hers. "It's almost like we're on a date, huh?" he added. He was actually a bit distracted, eager to get to Bill's place and see if the guy had any ideas on what to do about this body of his.

"Oh, okay." Rose replied when Ray answered her about Bill quite concisely. She was rather accepting of such an answer though, perfectly fine with joining her newest friend to check out some interesting things, no further questions asked. As she moved along the bridge, another of those strange pokemon approached Sparx and was dispatched like the others, disappearing. It seemed that Ray had encountered a similar kind of pokemon, but Rose missed it, since she was busy scanning this one with her pokedex. "A Kabuto? But it's extinct...? did someone mass revive them and release them or what..." Rose muttered to herself, reading the pokedex entry. It was weird to be seeing this pokemon here, then?
While Rose puzzled to herself about the presence of a fossil pokemon here, a trainer approached her and Ray, asking for a battle. Ray responded first, getting into a battle with the trainer. Rose idled nearby, looking through her pokedex. She had been neglecting the other pokemon on her team, so she was looking at their details, trying to figure out who needed work. She wasn't sure this was a good place to train most of them, however. While Sparx was having an easy time, she wasn't sure if that meant the wild pokemon in the area were just low leveled or if he was just lucky. She mulled over the others on her team, eyes falling on Rye. He was a ghost type - not a type Rose liked at all, but Isis' Whispard had told her that the Flurry line were good ghosts; ones that kept evil spirits away. With that in mind, she decided that perhaps Rye should get some training. Especially seeing as there was that terrible giratina Fynx had insisted on carrying around with them. Might do some good to have Rye be stronger.
Rose released the icy cub from its ball, and it gave a small 'kyuuuu' in greeting. It was rather warm in this climate, but he managed to stay cool enough that it wasn't much of a bother. The red head held out her hand to pet the leopard, still a bit uneasy - she couldn't help it. "Hello, Rye. Would you like to get some training in?" she asked. The cub mewled affirmatively, tail wisp wiggling behind him. He was always eager to get stronger for his trainer, so he could properly protect her. Even if she didn't seem the type to go to a ghost filled place willingly so that he could cleanse spirits.
Rose blinked, looking over as after Ray's battle, a female trainer came over to ask Ray for a battle, wondering if his 'date' would mind. This... confused Rose. "Date?" she mumbled, raising an eyebrow. What even was that supposed to mean? Either way, Ray accepted the battle. While Ray was battling the girl, another trainer approached her. "Looks like your date is busy. How about a battle?" the boy asked. There was that word again. What was it supposed to mean to refer to a person as a 'date'? It must be a Kanto thing. "Okay! Let's go, Rye!" Rose accepted the battle, sending her flurry forward into battle. He sent out a sandshrew, that couldn't hold up to the icy blast that Rye sent forth. According to her pokedex, Rye had used Blizzard, which was super effective against the ground typing of the opposing pokemon. A geodude, and a rhyhorn came out next, each being dispatched easily with Blizzard. "Great job, Rye!" Rose smiled, happy that her pokemon was doing so well. "Hey, I still have two pokemon left, you know..." the trainer grumbled, then sent out a golett. Rose swallowed a squeak in fear of the ghost type that had been let out, trying her best not to let it unnerve her so much. Rye sensed her unease and quickly dispatched the ghost with a dark pulse on his own accord, the same with the sandygast that the trainer had sent out after.
Rose was relieved when the battle was over, the fallen ghost types now tucked away in their balls. She sighed, smiling to the trainer. "Thank you very much for the battle! Please go take care of your pokemon." Rose told the trainer, while checking up on Rye. Even though the flurry had took no damage at all. The trainer nodded, then left. The red haired girl then caught up with Ray, Sparx and Rye floating along beside her. Fynx was still following a bit behind with her communicator.
"How did your battles go?" Rose asked her travelling buddy, now making better progress across the bridge and beyond. She tilted her head slightly, confusion clear on her face as Ray spoke up again, mentioning 'couples' and how it was almost like they were on a 'date'. She was very unfamiliar with those terms, looking around as if hoping to find some kind of clue from the people around them. "Heh, I'm not sure what you mean." she admitted with a small chuckle, rubbing the back of her head and making a bit of a face. She was completely oblivious to any romantic aspects of those words. "Is it like a place that friends go to often? oh oh or do they come here in pairs to do double battles?" she questioned, trying to figure it out for herself a bit while keeping up with her friend.
Fynx was still keeping an eye on Rose after having sent her message. Luckily, it seemed that Rose and Ray were split up for a bit, doing their separate battles. The Delphox watched as Rose accepted a battle, a bit proud of how her trainer managed not to completely freak out when there were ghosts on the opponent's team. She looked down as she heard the communicator beep, alerting her to a new message from Atona.
Text From Atona:I would hardly call this a new trick. Good to hear. It might be preferable if it never showed itself period. I know you want Rose to take responsibility for capturing it, but I would suggest making that responsibility finding a way to dispose of that monster, not carrying it around with her like a grenade, or it will blow up in both of your faces the moment Rose releases the trigger.
Fynx pouted at the message. Did he really think she was incapable of handling that damned Giratina? She knew she was at a type disadvantage but she would beat the living crap out of that beast if it ever decided to burst out uninvited. She was getting ready to respond when she noticed Ray and Rose reconvened, her ears perking at the words exchanged. A snarl on her lips, she narrowed her gaze on the boy as he mentioned it was almost like they were on a date. With a huff, and after she was sure he must have felt the burning glare, she returned her attention briefly to the communicator to respond.
Text to Atona:You don't have enough faith that I can handle myself? She has not been carrying around the ball; I have. And as terrible a beast it was, I don't think any pokemon deserves to just be abandoned. Besides, i want more chances to beat the living crap out of it myself for what it did. Anyways, it can't nearly be as bad as this .... insolent child that Rose is now travelling with. If he flirts with her again I swear I'll throw a fire ball his way.
Fynx was a bit snippy and overconfident in this reply, but she sent it without putting too much thought into it, eager to catch up with her trainer and make sure that her presence was still known. The Delphox walked a little behind, but between the two as they continued along, keeping a watchful eye on them, though it would look more like a glare towards Ray.

Ray shrugged. "Okay. Ch- Cole did well, even against water types." The little lizard was so far a baby in Ray's mind, but he had to admit that sometimes it could perform. When Rose said she didn't know what he meant about dates, Ray stared at her. Is she... serious? He thought for a hot second she just was mocking him because he was "younger" than her, but no, no, she genuinely....didn't get it. "Where did you come from?" he asked incredulously. "A rock?" Seriously, what kind of life had this girl led up until now? This went so far beyond sheltered it boggled Ray's mind. As she tried to come up with answers on her own, Ray was pushed further and further until he finally lost it, laughing so hard he doubled over. "A pl- a place that friends go pfft." The glare he sensed from Fynx was icing on the cake. Dumb fox was probably responsible for Rose being clueless.
Ray sucked in a breath, finally able to keep walking. "A date is an activity. Something you go on with someone else if you like them,"and you aren't skipping straight to the fun part, Ray thought to himself. "Romance stuff. Couples. More than friends." He was explaining as good-naturedly as he could, but this was starting to make him feel a bit silly. If it hadn't sunk in before, he was definitely getting the memo that his chances with Rose were slim. Still, he was sure that he'd figure out a way to fluster her. If Bill could help him out, that may happen very soon.
He could see the lab in the distance now. Despite what he'd been telling Rose, the place wasn't a tourist attraction or anything so there was no one out front. Those trainers and couples they'd run into or seen walking around were here for the scenic cape and lighthouse or to train. Hopefully it would be just Bill inside. Nerds were always eager to explain their nerd-s**t, right? Ray didn't want to walk in on a talked-out Bill when answers were what he needed.

Rose smiled upon hearing that Cole did well in the battles. However, the conversation moved on towards her lack of knowing what a 'date' was. Which appeared to amuse her new friend. She tilted her head, confused, much like a puppy trying to discern a sound. "I came from Ambrette Town, Kalos." she responded, though it didn't seem that was an actual question he wanted an answer to. As Ray fell into laughter at her guesses, Rose giggled a bit too, clueless. Eventually, Ray attempted to explain to her what exactly a date was.
Rose still didn't quite understand the concept; that much was clear on her face. She liked a lot of people. She liked her friends, and she's been places before with them. Does that make their outings and meet ups dates? Then he mentioned it was Romance stuff, couples, and more than just friends. "...Like best friends, or... like my parents are to each other?" she asked, trying to figure it out from what he said. "Couple as in your mother and father are. Now that's enough of that." Fynx cut in, forcing the subject to hopefully die. The fox shot a look at Ray as if to tell him to cut it out.
While they reached the cape, Rose's attention was immediately brought to the lighthouse. "Wow!" she exclaimed, running over to get closer to the structure. It had felt like forever since she's been at a water front. The air sort of reminded her of home. Meanwhile, Sparx was busy fighting off another kabuto, which startled a pokemon that had been waiting by the docks. It was a charmander with a blue ribbon tied about her neck with a big bow in the back, freckles on her snout. She merely blinked, looking over to the girl and her pokemon that had just arrived. Sometimes, Zadie forgot that this was a place that people actually came to. Given that she had been left waiting here for longer than she could remember. It was a bit surprising when a weird looking raichu sent a thunderbolt at a pokemon nearby so suddenly, that she jumped a bit. "O-oh no! I'm sorry, miss!" Sparx quickly apologized, bowing his head in shame. It was pretty easy for him to lose awareness of others around him when battling. "It's okay." Zadie assured the odd mouse, returning her gaze out to the azure waves.
While admiring the view, Rose took notice of the charmander that Sparx was near. "Oh my gosh! Look how cute that charmander is! Hello, I'm Rose!" she exclaimed, approaching and crouching down nearby the lizard, beaming. Once more, Zadie had to tear her blue gaze from the water to look at the person that now approached. Zadie had been at the lighthouse for so long that most regular people just ignored that she was there, or she would fight off someone trying to capture her. "I... have been waiting here for a long time... he isn't coming back, is he?" Zadie grumbled to herself, a sad expression on her face. It isn't the first time she's thought of this, but something about this trainer made her feel comfortable. "Aw, why are you so sad looking? Are you here alone? You can come hang out with me if you want." Rose asked quietly, offering a gentle smile and a hand to the charmander. Zadie felt conflicted. Here was a nice trainer asking if she wanted to go with her, and yet she still wanted to try to wait for him to come back to her on that boat of his. But it's been years. After a while, she accepted Rose's hand. "I'll go with you... um... can you tell her my name is Zadie, please?" she growled in a soft tone to Rose, then turned her head to speak to Sparx. Sparx seemed flustered by being addressed, trying to act like he wasn't just staring at that large bow. "O-oh um, Rose, she said her name is Zadie, and is accepting your offer." Sparx relayed to his trainer, hugging his tail a bit bashfully.
"Welcome to the team, Zadie!" Needless to say, Rose was more than happy to have Zadie on her team now. A charmander of her own! She wondered if she'd get along with Jas and Cole. Speaking of Jas, she should probably get back to Ajicka, but she figured she'd do that once Fynx was finished with her communicator. "Ray! Cole! Look! I found a charmander!" Rose announced, having lifted the lizard into her arms. Zadie was careful to curl her tail away so that her fire wouldn't scorch the red head. It felt nice to be held again. Maybe it was for the best that she had given up on waiting, day after day at the docks.

"Yeah, what foxface said," Ray said, deciding already it wasn't worth it trying to explain any more right now. He just didn't get this girl at all. He may have had an untraditional childhood, but he was pretty damn sure she was a weirdo even for a "normal" kid. And figures the stupid fox wasn't helping at all. Wasn't healthy to be keeping things from someone just because you had some uppity opinion on whether they should know or not.
Ray spotted the lab, and was in the middle of pointing it out when dashed for the lighthouse. "Rose, that's- ah. Fine." Ray shrugged and followed her, looking absent-mindedly at the ocean. Some date, huh? he thought as he shifted to watching Rose skip around.
There was a small pink pokemon shuffling around on the shore that caught Ray's eye. At first he thought it a native, but there was a device on its back. Where there was one of those, there was sure to be some good loot. "Tyrogue, let's go," he said, releasing the scrappy fighter. Out of all his pokemon, he found Tyrogue and Granbull to be the most reliable- no surprise there. Rocket trained pokemon were so much better and easier. Though, that snake he picked up was pretty good. And he had to admit Cole was getting better, along with the Nidoran.
By the time Ray had returned Tyrogue, Rose was headed back. And in her arms was...a charmander? By his feet Cole made a small choking charf. Are you ******** kidding me. Rare pokemon just waltz into this girl's lap every day, don't they? At least the darn thing wasn't rainbow-colored or sparkly. "You just...found her?" Ray sighed. Best to just accept it. Maybe if he kept her around her rare-pokemon magnetism would rub off. "That's pretty lucky, charmander are rare. I had to get mine from Professor Oak. You ready to check out the lab?"
"Cole. Come on." The lizard had gone stupid for some reason, not moving at all. Ray nudged him with his foot. When that got no reaction, Ray rolled his eyes and pulled out its pokeball. "Fine. You shouldn't be out in the lab anyways." Cole raised his arm and curled his small fingers in a wave to the other charmander before he was sucked up by the red beam. I swear to god if that lizard gets more action than I do on this stupid trip...
When they got to Bill's lab, Ray paused, trying to decide whether or not he should knock. When he heard shouting and a loud crash inside, he figured that was excuse enough to enter without permission. "Hey, everything okay in-" Ray's next words were walloped out of him by a small metal bunny colliding with his chest. He fell backwards, into Rose, under the weight. Inside stood Bill, just barely holding on to a squirming lileep. "Aha, ha! Please- stop- moving!" It seemed to be trying to reach the robot bunny, which was now pinning Ray with its weight and refusing to move. "Hey! Hey you! Hold onto that bunny for me one sec!" Bill cried out. He tried to wrestle the lileep back down, finally managing to get it into a pod at the back of the room and slapped it shut.
Breathing heavily, Bill staggered to his visitors. "Sorry...about that... one second I'm examining the device on that lileep's back, the next it's lunging for that cybun Silph Co. gave me. It's not damaged, right?" he asked, leaning in. "No...it's...fine..." Ray huffed out.

Ray earned a sharp glare from Fynx as he referred to her as 'foxface'. Luckily for him, she was distracted as she got a reply from Atona, only vaguely aware as Rose ran off to check out the lighthouse. Text From Atona:I have no doubts you can handle yourself, but not against that thing. Recall that it took you, me, three of zero’s pokemon, and two more of roses to weaken it enough for capture. You being the one to carry it around doesn't change anything. It’s a ghost type. You’re a psychic type. Not to mention it’s still a legendary with unfathomable power. You need to get rid of it, not carry it around while it recovers, pretending as though you are the sole thing keeping it contained because you are not. Insolent child? Only play interference if she doesn't feel comfortable with it or doesn't want it Fynx. Otherwise, you shouldn't be so overprotective. Besides, if it's just a child flirting with her, I'm sure it's harmless. The delphox huffed after reading the message, hackles raising a bit. She didn't like being reminded how much it took to take down the giratina, especially if it meant pointing out her weakness to it's typing. Even though he was right, she couldn't help but feel upset about it. It also didn't help that she was also dealing with Rose having a new travel companion that put her on edge. Text to Atona:That was in it's realm, now it's in mine. I'm faster and can learn shadow ball and dazzling gleam. Regardless, I already gave you my word that I would be careful. So, at least trust me on that? This punk seems like he has some kind of curse on him. I don't trust him... But Rose seems to be good friends with him already, so it'd be inappropriate for me to interfere, even though I would very much like to. He called me 'foxface'. Fynx sent the message, looking up as Rose had a charmander in her arms, returning to Ray. The charmander had a cute blue bow around her neck and what appeared to be freckles on her snout. Fynx couldn't help but feel a bit jealous of the cute, small starter, but she let it dissipate quickly, knowing that she was always going to be Rose's official starter. No pokemon could ever take that away from her.
Sparx took down another strange fossil-y pokemon by the docks before noticing that Rose and the new addition to their team had wandered back towards the other building on the cape, rejoining Ray. He hopped onto his tail, floating over to catch up.
"Mhm~! She was looking pretty lonely over by the lighthouse, so i offered to let her join my team and be my friend!" Rose smiled brightly, oblivious to how this situation was not normal. Zadie peered down at Cole as he made an odd sound, offering a smile. "Char~" she greeted him softly. "Huh, really? And sure! I'm ready." Rose then pondered if all starter pokemon were rare. If that was the case, professors were very generous offering such things. Zadie watched as Cole shyly waved before getting sucked back into his ball. It had been a long time since she's seen another charmander. As nice as it felt to be held in a person's arms again, she opted to be on her own two feet, wiggling a bit until Rose let her go. "Oh... I have too many pokemon out too, huh..." Rose muttered to herself after Ray had returned Cole. She didn't feel right about returning Zadie to her ball so soon, and Fynx always stayed out with her, so she returned Sparx and Rye to their balls, putting them back into her pouch before following Ray into the lab.
When they reached the lab, there was quite a lot of noise coming from inside, so they both entered without knocking. Before Rose could even figure out what was going on, Ray fell back against her, causing her to stumble a bit and squeak in surprise. She steadied Ray with her hands on his arms, but they both ended up on the floor, pinned, thanks to a small robot bunny looking thing. Rose wasn't nearly as pinned as Ray, however, and she squirmed out from under him. Zadie had jumped aside from the commotion, only coming around to examine the strange metal rabbit once Bill had the situation dealt with. She attempted to help by trying to pull the creature off, but it was pretty heavy. It didn't stop her from trying her hardest though. "Are you okay, Ray?" Rose asked, concerned for her friend, and still a bit confused about the entire situation.

In the confusion, or rather, when Ray got jumped by the small Cybun, his bag had fallen to the floor. The items he'd recently collected from the fossil pokemon spilled out. A few of them in particular caught Bill's eye. A pair of gems. "Hey, those are gems right? Ahh, I've been trying to get my hands on some but they've been out of stock. Hey, whaddya say, can I have 'em?"
Ray barely noticed Rose under him, aside from you know, the soft fall and lack of warmth after she wriggled away. Mostly he just noticed how much less pleasant the tiny robot bunny was. "I'm not going to just give you something for free." He stated, taking full advantage of his childish appearance to be petulant. Bill frowned, nesting his chin in his hand while he thought. A moment later the scientist's eyes brightened. "Okay, fair enough! What if you give Cybun here those gems, let me observe and take some notes, then you take Cybun with you?" Before Ray could get a word in, the increasingly excited Bill blathered on. "Yes, yes! A trainer like you could battle with it -I'm no good at pokemon battling- and send me data to analyze! Here, let me... now where was it..." Bill hurried to a table piled with bits of metal and tools. He rifled through hurriedly, yet somehow managed to not push anything to the floor. [colorsienna]"Aha yes!" he exclaimed, lifting out a small SD card. ill popped it into the Cybun, patting it gently on the head as he did so. "Perfect! That oughtta record all the data I need."
Throughout all of this, Ray had been unable to get a single word in. He'd barely managed to get standing, with the heavy bunny still in his arms. Honestly, he was kind of flabbergasted that he'd just be handed something so valuable on a silver platter. "There- ah- Is there anything else in it that recorsds stuff?" he maanged. Bill nodded. "The basic tracker and sycnh don't collect the data I need, so that's why you'll need that SD to periodically dump onto a computer. It includes a program I wrote myself, that reads from all of Cybun's normal inputs and sensors and blah blah boring boring blah blah blah." What Ray got out of it was that he'd want it looked at by someone before it brought it back to base, especially if he actually wanted to steal it.
"Riiight. Listen Bill, I don't really get it, but I guess I could help you out." This was completely off-track from what Ray had been intending to ask Bill about, but he wasn't about to turn down some super-advanced pokemon. It would probably follow his instructions much better than any one of his normal pokemon. He shot Rose a look. Maybe she really was a rare-pokemon magnet.
Something else had also dropped from Ray's bag- Cole's pokeball. The little charmander appeared, and quickly shuffled out of the way so Ray wouldn't return him. He stumbled backwards, but felt more confident than normal. Where they were right now reminded him of the lab.

Rose was had left her contact information with Ray for when he finished his business. Fynx couldn't contain her relief when they finally parted ways, heading back into the city with Rose. Rose returned to the pokemon center from the cape, bringing her pokemon up to the counter to get them healed, just in case. She had set Zadie down on the counter to be checked on while handing over her other pokemon she had been training earlier. It was no surprise when it turned out to be just a normal top up, seeing as her pokemon hadn't been roughed up too badly. After retrieving her pokemon and taking Zadie up in her arms again, she made her way to the cafeteria to feed her pokemon and grab something to eat. Couldn't battle a gym leader on an empty stomach, after all.
Meanwhile, Fynx was still preoccupied with her trainer's communicator, receiving Atona's reply. At first she had a playful pout on her muzzle, but by the end of his response, she was gritting her teeth and huffing.

When the Pokemon Center finally came into view, it couldn't off been any more holy a sight. The trek from Mount Moon was far long than Reina had thought it'd be. In truth she figured she'd gotten weak since Jacque was her main source of transportation for awhile now. Having to rely on her own two legs was going to prove a bit more of a challenge than she'd earlier expected. Nefret offered a shoulder, but Reina waved her off. "I can last a bit longer." Reina reassured the lizard. Though as soon as she entered the center the Egyptian collapsed onto one of the soft benches located all across the center's lobby. "I'm just going to rest a spell."
Releasing her team mates, everyone collected around Reina. Finding places they could rest while Reina regained some solidity in her legs. Anubis and Anak'su rested beside Reina. Anubis, using his paws and Anak'su using her vines massaged her legs, which wasn't doing much of anything, but it was appreciated. Anka seemed to catch on and after floating forward she turned to Reina with a koi, but mischievous smile. 'C'est mal, tu ne peux pas flotter comme moi.' Anka joked, floating back and forth a few times to show off her legless walk. "Quand Miss Assistant me tue, je reviendrai comme un fantôme et nous pourrons flotter ensemble." Reina replied, chuckling a bit to the joke with Anka.

Rose finished up eating and getting her pokemon fed, having absently been thinking about how to approach this gym battle. She gathered that Misty used water types, specifically a staryu and a starmie. Instead of depending on her starter for advice, she decided to do a bit of studying herself. Sparx should be able to do a number on her pokemon, and she supposed she could use Meli too if she needed. Would it be too easy if she just pulled Opal into her party to beat the gym? Probably. Rose hummed thoughtfully, looking over her team's info on her pokedex.
Meanwhile, Fynx was preoccupied with texting Atona while she snacked on some fruit. To be honest, she was more eager for replies than she was eating. Her ears perked as she got a reply.
Text from Atona: I'll consider it, just in case I need to attend any future formal events.
Are you sure? You both sound like terrible flirts to me.
The delphox smiled at first, but scowled a bit by the end of the message. How dare he compare her to that boy! She wasn't that bad of a flirt!!! He should know well enough! Pouting a bit, she got to working on her response.

Satisfied with her reply to the Lucario - and with a dreamy look on her face as she reminisced - she sent it off. "Fynx, I think I'm ready to go challenge the gym leader here." Rose broke her starter out of her thoughts. "Ah~ Not asking me for advice this time? Are you sure?" the delphox asked in a playful, teasing manner as she got up from the table. The red head nodded eagerly, and they set out from the pokecenter to go to the gym.
Once there, Rose made her way through the gym that smelled strongly of chlorine, thanks to the pool. She reached Misty without much trouble, issuing her challenge and starting out the battle with Sparx. As expected, he did really well against the Staryu, taking it out but at the cost of getting confused. As Misty sent out Starmie, she pondered her choices, deciding ultimately to return Sparx. But in an unexpected turn of events, it was Rye that decided he wanted to come out and finish the battle, so Rose worked with the situation. Thanks to Starmie being part psychic type, and Rye having a dark type move, the battle was won with ease, as if she had planned this the whole time.

Rose celebrated her win, accepting the shiny new badge and tm before leaving the gym. She felt especially proud, having managed to make things work even when Rye made his unexpected entrance. But more importantly, she didn't depend on Fynx to hand her the answers on what pokemon to use. In fact, Fynx had stayed by the front of the gym, watching her battle from a distance. "I did it!" Rose cheered as she was reunited with her starter. Fynx nodded, patting Rose on the head. "Good~ Perhaps now you will be able to go back to Kalos and challenge the gym in North Lumiose without my help." Fynx commented, leaving the gym with her trainer.
The red head still felt unsure about heading back to Kalos. These recent gyms she was challenging were really easy, and she was pretty sure the gyms were going to be really difficult if she went back to her home region. After all, she was only halfway through the league there. "Um.... I want to go to the pokecenter first for a bit." Rose replied a bit sheepishly, avoiding the matter for now. Fynx sighed, but followed her trainer as they meandered back towards the pokecenter.

Some time later, Reina woke with a start. She'd fallen asleep apparently. As her vision adjusted, the Egyptian eventually picked out Anubis, Nepherti and Nefret were all chatting among one another. When they noticed Reina was awake, their conversation turned towards her. 'Good work passing out Reina.' Anubis barked. Climbing up onto the bench Reina had fallen asleep on, the Egyptian chuckled softly to herself. "I must of been far more tired than I thought." She replied. Standing up Reina began to stretch out her body. As her eyes reopened from the stretch she noticed a pair of people completely decked out in spooky gear. One was dressed as a Vampire, complete with cape and fake teeth with fake blood going down their chin. The other was dressed as an evil clown. "Woah" Reina spoke. It was that time already? Time certainly flew by quickly when traveling. She'd expected she'd be much farther along in her vacation by the time it reached fall.
Nevertheless, Reina was intrigued. Approaching the spooky duo, the two of them handed forward a pamphlet adding in some verbal lines to make themselves seem much scarier than they were. Reina, for the most part wasn't entirely scared by these things, but she'd seen actual, real murder and blood shed, but that didn't mean she didn't like them. It was fun watching people be scared of something non-threatening. It was then she noticed where the event the pamphlet was talking about was taking place. "Wow... this little carnival has spread all the way here to Kanto?" She grinned. Though in retrospect she'd been pretty busy the past few years and hadn't been able to go, so perhaps they'd expanded and become something bigger since last she went. "Alright you got me." It was then she felt something crawling up her shoulder. 'Reina, what about the whole contest, people stealing Pokemon, your a cop thing?' Reina grinned, looking back at Anubis. "Ne t'inquiète pas, Anubis. I am curious about this event, and what better a way to make Miss Assistant believe I am really on vacation and not doing you know what, is to come back with believable stories. Besides, we haven't gone to this event in a minute, so it'd be nice to check it out." Holding out her hands, that was the cue that she was going. Her Pokemon quickly gathered around her, as an Abra appeared to teleport them to the main entrance of the Carnival.
