[Enter] - attempt 1 “It’s coming” The statement was ominous, but more so the silence. The woods shook and the branches rattled. The sound of breaking tree limbs made his heart slam into his ribs. Creatures rushed around him and he turned slowly, frozen, too scared to run immediately, some part of him needed to see what lay in wait. It was enormous, tremendously sized, and blinking at him with a single golden eye. It turned towards him, a slow and deliberate movement that he had to admire for the fear it instilled in him, and awe for its size and majesty. He was terrified, and in awe. -SNAP- Witch-fingers that hurt! It did, however spur him into action, wings or no wings, legs rather than tail or not he was off. The curious thing he hadn’t realized he carried in his pocket told him oh so helpfully that he was down to 10 hp, and he didn’t have the time or inclination to stop long enough to try and heal. Try 1 part 2
He couldn’t hear it for a moment; it was gone quiet, too quiet. Had he truly outrun it? Maybe it was big enough that it had a hard time smashing through some of the larger trees. Then he heard the voices. Not the voices of strangers, but familiar voices, friends and family. He KNEW those voices, could he risk it? Could it be safe to turn? As terrifying as the monster had been, this was still… a dream wasn’t it?
He turned, and saw nothing but a grand maw of teeth.

MEEP!Cliche or not, Ch33p was, well, a chicken. It took absolutely no internal debate to decide to high tale it out of the forest before that horrible monster could catch her. Unfortunately the concept of legs (legs like these anyway) were still just about as alien too her as the that of arms, and she wasn't quite fast enough to escape another snap! ‘It’s coming’ – hadn’t it already come? His heart pounded in his chest, the moment was all too familiar. He saw it as he turned and just as inevitably, it saw him.

The pocket chime again, all too chipper telling him he had 10 hp left. Time to run.

MissKitty panted and gasped as she continued running, her desperation for an end to the torture was too much.
Which was why when she heard Hel's voice a second time, she couldn't NOT turn around.

There was a new quest, and naturally, Blightning wanted nothing more than to challenge it and prove his mettle. Confidently, Blightning puffed out his chest, moving towards the start point.
Only to look up and see a giant monster staring back down at him.
Whoa--
RoyalBlightning, you are down to 10 HP!
Wait, what? How did he end up down so low on HP?!
Maybe he should run. He should probably run. Blightning turned tail and started heading towards away from the Jabberwock as quickly as possible. Blightning may have been confident, but even he knew taking on this thing might not be his brightest idea ever. Especially when it looked fully capable of eating him whole. He liked being alive.
It managed to swipe him for a few more damage admist his running. OUCH! That definitely hurt more than last time. Was he going to dream about being eaten bit by bit and then snapped up truly? Not a pleasant thought to be sure.
Running, he just had to keep running, but there, once again were the voices. It was family; it was FRIENDS, what if it was going to eat them?
He had to make a choice.
No… no absolutely not. He was not going to turn, not this time. The memory of the teeth was too fresh in his mind. He put as much energy as he could into continuing. He had to, he HAD to get away.

It was a relief that the Jabberwock no longer seemed to be immediately behind him. Here, he was safer. Right? His eyes darted around, for a second, refusing to turn behind him. It was safer here, but-- he heard them. Footsteps, coming through the trees. It wasn't safe to stop yet. He would need to keep running.
But... he heard voices behind him.
"Ignatius, honey, come home and have dinner with us!"
"Do you want to go running?"
Blightning bit his lip. Did he turn around?

It was worse now that she couldn't quite see the creature... the unknown was always scarier. As she strained to hear where the creature was now she heard something familiar. Clucking voices, squabbling about nothing. It was distant but the voices were instantly recognizable as her family's! Has they made it here too? She twisted around to see and then- Nothing. The next thing she knew she was right back where the beast had caught up with her the first time! Eep! What would be more useful to him? He had 7HP left, which wasn't terribly much. At the same time, the Jabberwock couldn't swipe for that much damage, right? He would be safe so long as he stayed ahead of it. Maybe the Second Chance Timer would be more useful.
