Megumi sighed softly. She took a deep breath and held it to slow her breathing. Get it out of your system? No.Sometimes I wish he wasn't in here. She thought, jokingly.Psh. I'm the only lick of personality in this joint. She let her breath out and started walking again, her stride naturally fast to compensate for such a short step. She caught up with Irihi and Juuri. Her breathing was under control, and Irihi may or may not --It had been a rather exciting day-- notice that Megumi was still standing. He may not attach importance to that, but Megumi sure as hell did.

A wide foxy grin, reaching from ear to ear. "Megumi-sensei, you're done, huh!" 'You're done, huh'? If any of the Hyuuga Elders were here, Irihi would've probably been knuckle-rapped on the head for such informal speech. But Irihi was Irihi...if he followed rules all the time, the dear child will not be the same. A worried look flickered over his features though. "Megumi-sensei..." Did perhaps the Jounin just overdo sparring a tad? But though he could see that she was tired, her breathing was calm... He cast a glance to the shamaness.
"We'll keep going for just a bit longer." She said, with a soft smile. "And then we can take a break." They will be arriving at a shore town soon, and they will be taking the ferry to Suna. Of course, strictly speaking, they still have to walk for about a day or so after leaving the ferry, but this was to cut down distance. Besides...even if the hyperactive teenager did not openly display it...she could see that Irihi was tired.

Megumi smiled, despite her internal irritation with herself. It looked genuine. "yeah. Sorry, a little bit of the jitters." She smiled again and there was a quiet click as she pulled out a coin that Irihi recognized. It was Megumi's special currency. It danced through her fingers as she toyed with it, flashing green and blue as she rolled it down her knuckles and it disappeared into her hand, flashing back out and rolling up her knuckles again.Holding your life in your hands? Nice metaphor.. It's pithy.

The smile didn't seem forced...and Irihi was a bit relieved. Though it was strange...the Jounin was usually so calm...but... Megumi-sensei is...a little irritated? But he said nothing more, and did not press the topic. "I can't wait to travel through the desert!" He declared happily, petting Lailah on her head. The young wolf, however, just shook her head. As if chastising her master: 'It's not going to be a walk down the street, baka.' Well...Irihi didn't know just how wrong he was too. Plus, with his Hyuuga pale skin...he'll burn...he'll burn easily in the desert sun...
Gradually, the mountain path lost elevation...a hilly countryside. "We are not going through the desert route." Said Shinjukai, as she stopped for a moment. "We are visiting the port city Schreuber - do you see it?" Sure enough, down the hills...there was a small city, and further in the distance, the sparkling blue sea and great ships sailing majestically over the waters. "It won't be a direct route to Suna, there will still be at least a half day's journey."

Megumi smiled. She'd be walking. She loved the water, but she hated boats. In fact... She had a slight... Phobia... Of boats. She just sighed softly and took in the fresh air. It would be a whole different air. That's one of her favorite things about traveling. Everything changes. She took solace in the fact that if the whole world could change around her, it was possible, just maybe, that she could change, too. There were four quiet clicks. one was being clicked close, and three were being clicked open. Cities... They weren't trying to be subtle. In fact, the woman walking beside her was --In Megumi's eyes-- completely the opposite. Even if you took away the spirits.

Irihi paled, just a little. Guess his Inuzuka inheritance resulted also...in a bit of fear of water. Relax. He told himself. It wasn't like they were going to be swimming anyways... Nothing would go wrong on the boat...right? But not wanting to seem like a coward, he said nothing...not realizing though he did not voice his insecurity, it did show slightly on his features...a certain flicker of uncertainty in his eyes.
"Is there a problem?" She didn't stop nor turn to look at Irihi nor Megumi, but it was nearly for certain... She was addressing them. "..." A phobia of water, perhaps? She herself loved and hated water...though it was her affinity, the gift and curse of the great dragon of the sea... Because of her limit... ...because of her limit, unnecessary sacrifices were made. The breeze around her was so gentle that it was almost cruel...soft yet for Juuri, just as stinging as the bitter memories the zephyr aroused...
"The ocean waters between the Fire and Wind Country are exceptionally calm." That was because there was a great land barrier, the Tea Country, that extended below the Fire Country...meaning the waters around the gulf area was much more serene compared to the rougher waters around Kiri or the Wave Country.

"That's why I like them so much." The jounin smiled softly, popping her knuckles for something to do. Not too much longer and they would be to the water. She didn't mind traveling... In fact, so far it had been more exciting than her most recent time in fire country. That would have nothing to do with today's turn of events, would it? Megumi snickered in their mind

Shika had stopped the jutsu only to hear what she was saying. He agreed with her, and knew that the new Hokage would do the right thing. Unless Shika saw something wrong with him. He would follow him to the end, and his village as well. Unless of couse Nyame wanted to leave the village. "That har........Never mind." He was going to refer to Yokou as a headache and a female dog. He really didn't like her much but it wasn't necessary to say anything. He would probably mourn her death in some way.
Shika watched as she walked away. Forming the hand signs he cast his shadow possesion jutsu right at her. There was no time for games, but he was going to make it so.
Chakra:575/595 Kagemane no Jutsu (Shadow Bind) A skill that originally was used as a delaying tactic, the user is able to control an opponent's movement by connecting his shadow to theirs. The user's shadow is able to move, extend and change shape, but it must maintain the same surface area as the original. Any shadows between the user and opponent can be used to increase the total surface area, thus allowing the user's shadow to extend further than normal. The technique is also known as the Shadow Bind Skill (Kage Shibari no Jutsu). This jutsu does not harm the ninja using it when their opponent is harmed, unless they're harmed by an outside force and the movement made could hurt the user, such as an arm breaking or a quick neck jerk. Cp cost: 20 (+5 per round) Damage: N/A Requirements: Be of Nara Decent, Chakra Control 10+ Training Days: 2 Days Special: Foe's dodge bonus is 0 for that round 1st Turn dodge attempt is done with 1D20 + reflex save vs. users ninjutsu DC. 2nd Turn(if they are caught): Escape attempts are done by foes 1d20+str mod vs users 1d20 +chakra control

Because very rarely was he out the village, excitement filled Irihi as they entered the border town. Whoa! It was gorgeous! Smaller than Konoha, though it was funny to think of a village as bigger than a town... However, it was so busy here! The streets are filled with tourists and look at all those restaurants! Even the passing people had to chuckle at the handsome teen and his pet wolf as they raced rapidly from one corner to another, looking longingly at the food stands. Kind hearted stand keepers allowed him to have samples of the food. "This must be heaven..." (expression: ~@_@~) How easy to please, but in the cute way.
While Irihi was running amok around town, Juuri was busy purchasing tickets. "I want the earliest departing ship." She said, simply. The woman behind the bullet-proof windows looked uncomfortable. "Yes, miss...I said the earliest departing ship." A pause. "You do not have to worry about price." She slammed a thick wad of 10000 yen onto the counter. "I assume this is enough? Thank you."
Looks like she still had plenty of money from the 'biz'.

((Post Rex DCs next time... xO Yes, the Crew has yet to rank the Nara and many clan techniques. But judging from the training days, cost, and requirements however...I think it's safe to say it's under B-rank. C-rank probably, judging by the technique cost.))
As expected of a Hyuuga councilwoman, and a member of the Council of Elders... She was the youngest, but with the sheer grace and elegance with which she reacted... While it was difficult to pinpoint exact locations based on chakra signature sensing alone...Nyame had avoided it purely on such basis. The pure raw speed of the Hyuuga clan...
While Byakugan helps pinpoint chakra, all shinobis hold the innate ability to sense others by chakra echolocation - some particular limits, though unknowingly to her, stronger than others.
"Shika!" Reproachingly, but there was no irritation or anger conveyed. More like: stop playing around and help me, so we can prepare something to eat... She crossed her arms, one elegant eyebrow raising. "Well, I could make lunch alone and you could just sit there. But then, you will go hungry." A considerate look crossed her pretty features. But then, a playful declaration: "And I won't share!"
Whether she was kidding or not was debatable. But there was one well known fact. Members of the Hyuuga clan never kid.
Rex: 1d20 + 60 vs 49 (10 + 17 [half character level] + 14 [Chakra mod.] + 8 [+2 per 10 Ninjutsu])

Megumi watched Irihi and Lailah as they ran through the stalls with a happy expression. She smiled softly, remaining ready to dash to Irihi's side, although she was scanning every face that passed. There was undeniable tension in Megumi's muscles, and her heterochromatic eyes would dash to a new person every second, scanning six points of danger on each, face, shoulders, hands, waist. And they were incessant. They flew over the crowds, focusing on Irihi's surroundings more than her own. Although, she admitted that she was also scanning Juuri's surroundings She does have her own guardians. So? For once, her brother remained silent. He was scanning the surroundings intently. It seemed that Megumi at least knew where his/her paranoia came from.

"I wasn't trying to hurt you or anything. I was going to do something. That would have ended up being slightly romantic." He said, and then got up, and headed into the woods. Unsheathing his katana, and then observed his surroundings. He was looking for a sturdy tree to get branches from. It woild be a good deal to have firm branches to ignite. He jumped up into a tree with a really long branch, and down it fell. The branch before it hit the ground was turned into six five inch thick pieces of fire wood. "Nyame you will share with me." He said in a tone that meant no assertiveness. He walked back to where they had camped, and set the branch pieces up to build a fire. "I don't have or know anything to make a fire." He said, and then looked at the branch and began to think.

Nyame huffed, and took on a defiant expression, seemingly as if she would never even consider the thought. A certain memory popped into mind, almost making her chuckle aloud...
The Sannin Fukushima Akane didn't look too pleased.
"I told you three to work as a team..."
A zoom out view of the camera. Anzu was dangling upside down on a tree branch, by a thick rope connecting to his right foot. Veinpops on his temples (expression: >=O), as he struggled and kicked and shook his small fists at their rather neutral eyed Sensei below.
He had failed to capture a bell. Fantastic usage of Mokouton at such an age, Akane had commented...
But he was sitting duck once his chakra ran out.
The view shifted, this time to Shikaenja: tied to a pillar right under the brilliant sun with a neutral expression. That took care of the problem of both the shadows and since he can't make the handseal also in this position...
Shika too failed to capture a bell. Intelligent and wise as he made be, he and Anzu became too preoccupied in their own little contest. So...again, Akane had no trouble disarming the second tank of the team.
The only one who remained standing was Nyame, and she was about out of chakra for the Kaiten too. The only reason why he couldn't get close was because of her doujutsu... However, an accusing finger pointed at her sensei, as the lines of the Byakugan faded. "Yes, they made hypothetical calculations, but you're a Sannin!" She complained.
She was referring to the assumption that three Genins working together can disarm even a Jounin. However, while it was true that Akane was a Sannin of the village... Their group had been without a Sensei for almost a year after graduation. Even without a squad leader, they had managed to become the most powerful trio of Genins of the squads in their generation.
A veinpop seemed to form on Akane's temple now. It was the 'evil Lord of Hell' expression now and even above, hanging upside down, Anzu stopped struggling (expression: ._.''). The three could've sworn lightning began cracking in the background.
"Quit using that as an excuse!" Akane took a deep breath and sighed. His goal wasn't supposed to be intimidating his new team... "All right. Listen up, you three may try again after lunch break. Otherwise..."
The kanji for 'evil' floated from their sensei as he cackled evilly.
"I hope you three enjoyed the Academy..." Poof. Akane had Shunshined from the area.
...three minutes later...
"He could've untied us first..." Commented Shika.
"That b*****d!" Roared Anzu.
Nyame looked down, at her current predicament (the bento boxes).
She could just leave them there...
Anzu's and Shika's stomaches complained, very loudly, at the same time.
She sighed.
All right. She'll free them...

"Wow! Look, Lily, the monkey is playing a song!" A lovely blush seemed to play on his pale cheeks as Irihi (and Lailah) watched, starry-eyed, at the monkey playing the recorder. "So cute..." He mumbled, hugging the monkey. Lailah seemed to snap to attention. "If only he was for sale..." He hugged the monkey closer and began rubbing his cheek against the soft furry head. The next thing Irihi knew, an angry screech and a bark filled the area.
For a moment, Irihi sat petrified (expression: o___o).
The monkey had scratched his face. Also, Lailah took a big bite out of his arm. Huffing, Lailah was not showing him her backside.
Blood spurted from the scratches (and bite).
"GEEEOOWCH!"
Juuri, who had just returned outside with the tickets, looked curious as a pained yelp suddenly filled the area. They couldn't be under attack, right...? Ghostly sakura blossoms floated around her, through the streets, an occasional twirl or two through the air by each petal... No...there was nothing suspicious, just people smiling nervously, but not unkindly at... She couldn't help herself either. A small smile found its way to her face. That child...he was just so...pure.

Megumi laughed as she watched Irihi simultaneously irritate a primate and offend his partner. Although, Irihi did raise a valid thought. A monkey.... Megumi... What are you thinking? Megumi was watching his sister cautiously...Are you insane? We eat raw meat we can not have a pet without someone suddenly wondering where the hell it went!!!! You guys read too far into things. Jeez... What's wrong with you people? I was just playing with the idea... Riiiiight.... Both her brothers spoke at once, both equally unconvinced.
