"As it happens, I'm completely unable to open fortune cookies in a manner that would allow me to read them," Fooey replied. "Much less unfurl that blasted little piece of paper. So wherever I got it from, I assure you it was not there." He watched as Xuza held up her sword. He wasn't dumb; he knew this was some kind of ability she was about to use. Of course, there was no way he could have known what it was exactly and was thus unprepared for the end of her rapier to pass through space-time and emerge directly in front of him. Unfortunately, from the front was the exact wrong way to attack Infernus. He bent down low again like a bull ready to charge, but this time he hunched his shoulders together as well leaving only the front of his armored legs and head exposed. The attacks clanged harmlessly off his hardened armor before they stopped and Fooey unfolded himself. "Ho! Neato!" He said. "I've never seen an attack quite like that before!" Fooey then opened his mouth wide as if to let out a roar but no sound emitted. Or rather, none that could be heard by the human ear. There was what sounded like a rush of wind and the air around Fooey's mouth seemed to ripple for a moment before a blast of invisible sonic energy raced straight towards Xuza, meaning to hit her head-on with blunt force trauma like a freight train headed off the tracks.

Fooey watched Xuza get caught completely off-guard by his Frequency Wave. A painful lesson but one well-learned. He wasn't overly surprised when she disappeared and reappeared behind him: she could clearly move objects through space time somehow so it wasn't a stretch of the imagination to think she could do the same to herself. He turned around to face her as she reappeared behind him. "A nice last-second recovery," he told her. "An invisible sonic frequency launched at high-speeds. It's one of my primary attacks," he added. He crouched down again as if to spring towards her but didn't make any other movements. "That teleporting ability you have, how fast can you use it in rapid succession?" He asked curiously.

Fooey listened quietly as Xuza responded to his question. He didn't respond to her gesture before she seemed to fall into the floor. [Not sure if you meant she was flashing the peace sign or flipping him off with both hands] He looked around for a moment after she disappeared before looking up to see her falling straight towards the ground. "Oh dang!" He exclaimed as he watched her fall. For a moment he thought she was going to do a faceplant into the ground but she fell straight into it again and repeated the pattern, increasing her speed each time. "I see..." he said after watching her do it a few more times, realizing what her idea was. It seemed Xuza still had more surprises up her sleeve as her wings came out. "Nice!" Fooey exclaimed as he saw them. He nodded when she spoke again "I see. Very impressive and fun to watch. I bet you're lots of fun at parties." Fooey seemed at ease. Playful even. But it would be a mistake to believe he'd let down his guard.

Fooey held still as he allowed Xuza's lightening bolt to hit him. The lightening arced and jumped across his armor in spectacular fashion as it smashed into his front armor. His muscles spasmed for a moment as the attack carried through with its effect. Fooey hadn't let the attack hit him for showing-off purposes, rather he had done so to gauge her strength. It certainly didn't seem like a full power attack from her that would cause too much damage so it was as good a chance as any. Light trails of smoke curled off his body as he shook himself off. He decided to escalate the situation only slightly, letting her build it up as she saw fit. "I can't say I have any good party tricks....at least not any where the party would still be going afterwards. Now, let's see how quick a learner you are..." Fooey opened his mouth again and the air around it distorted briefly...the only indication of his impending attack. The sonic frequency rushed towards her again but this time is was a solid stream rather than a single blast. If she attempted to dodge or move Fooey would turn his head to track her, tearing up the ground in deep gashes as his attack would tirelessly make all efforts to keep up.

Xuza had certainly figured it out. Not that Fooey hadn't expected her to. He watched as she flew through the air, the space just behind her rippling with the shockwaves of his frequency attack as he tracked her. He watched her stab the air and felt a sharp pain in his stomach. Too late he realized she was using her strange ability to move through space to stab him in a more vulnerable area. Still, it was a pinprick compared to what he could take. She did achieve her desired effect though and Fooey stopped shooting long enough to jump away from where her blade was hitting him. He re positioned himself to move quickly in case Xuza tried another trick like that, but for the time being he had stopped his attack.

Fooey felt Xuza's rapier pinprick him all across his tough hide. "You may want to sharpen that," Fooey noted as he watched the sword barely pierce his hide. He watched her prepare for a stronger strike. And he waited. Then he heard a snapping and breaking of metal. Fooey looked down to see Xuza's shattered rapier on the ground in front of him. Maybe it was intentional? Xuza might have some kind of ability that allowed her to shoot shards of her blade everywhere or maybe turn them into spiky traps? It took him a few more moments of staring at the pieces and waiting for them to react to realize that Xuza's blade-breaking was a complete accident. "Err...." he began awkwardly. "So does that mean you give up or...?" He asked, wondering if he should go on the offensive. He didn't want to continue the match if Xuza was no longer able to defend herself, though if she had more tricks up her sleeve he definitely wanted to give her the opportunity to show them. He looked back and forth between Xuza and the broken blade for a few moments before gingerly lifting one paw and nudging the broken blade scraps back towards her.

Fooey watched as Xuza pulled out a thicker cutlass from the abyss. "Oh you have more, good," he noted. He moved around slightly as the cutlass began cutting at him through dimensions again, clanging off his armor. Several of the cuts it into his skin but only drew small trickles of blood. Well, Fooey wasn't about to just let her stand there and do that. He sucked in a breath and lifted his head high. He opened his mouth and let out a loud roar. But this was no ordinary battle cry. The entire arena seemed to shake as if it were being hit with a massive earthquake. The side effects for Xuza wouldn't be good and Fooey was hoping to throw off her guard. As soon as he finished his roar he lowered his head like a bull and began to charge forward. Rather than attempting to impale Xuza on his horns he aimed to slam straight into her with the top of his skull; a blunt but painful attack.

+Seismic Roar: Infernus can let loose an earth-shaking roar, rattling his opponent to the core. This causes all the normal effects of being shaken violently; double or triple vision, disorientation, ringing in the ears and a feeling of weakness in the bones
