Leo's sudden outburst, or what looked like one to Sasha, had startled everyone. It probably would have been comical to the deaf girl if Leo didn't look so upset. As soon as he left, she went out to catch up to him. "Leo, wait!" she grabbed his arm in order to stall him long enough to maybe listen to her. "We didn't mean to make you upset, okay? If it makes you feel any better, even I don't know what's going on with Chase and Cherry. They've been acting weird ever since you mentioned that doctor and the hospital bill."

Leo hated that she could catch up to him so quickly. "Well whatever it is they're still going on about they need to knock it off. It's insulting to keep things from people especially when one of them can't see that they're not making fun of him." he said softly, yanking his arm away from Sasha and continuing to his own home. He would much rather hear silence than whispers.

Sasha didn't want to leave him alone. She knew he hated silence and loneliness. "They weren't making fun of you, Leo! From what I could see, they were saying something about the doctor," she said and moved in front of him, blocking his path and grabbing his shoulders. "You're overreacting, as far as I know. Do you want me to tell you about this morning? Was that what you're upset about?"

Leo jumped a bit when his shoulders were grabbed, he had the urge to smack her hands away but he resisted at the mention of what happened this morning. He didn't want to force her to tell him, but in a way she kind of forced him to tell her about his parents when he was diligent on keeping it to himself. Leo hung his head and he sighed before returning his gaze toward her. "No.....I'm sorry. I tried to go back to school after I lost my sight but everyone was whispering and laughing at me because I kept running into everything....I guess thats the first thing that I think of when people start whispering behind my back." he said softly, trying to calm himself down a little. "You don't have to tell me what happened this morning, it didn't bother me nearly as much as the secrecy."

Sasha stiffened and let go of him. "I see. Don't worry, Leo. No one is making fun of you," she said and she hugged him. She heard hugs were effective in helping people calm down, and Leo seemed to have appreciated it before. "If they were whispering about you, then they probably whispered about me, too. Then Sam would have kicked them out for it. So, you shouldn't get upset about their whispering." She considered telling Leo about what they had done in the morning anyways, but she didn't want to force him to listen. It was already bad enough that she kind of forced him to tell her about his life.

Leo thought it impossible to return to Sasha's apartment after embarrassing himself like he did. He was glad for the hug but he still felt bad for overreacting in such a way. "Anyways....if you want to tell me about this morning I will listen of course but I just don't want you to think you have to tell me." he said, gently moving Sasha off of him so she could see what he was saying. "Thank you for clearing things up for me...and for not smacking me, even though I kind of deserved it." he said with a small laugh.

Sasha smiled and had to giggle about the smacking comment. She had completely forgotten about that habit, for some reason. "It's fine. I guess you still want to go back to your apartment? I can stay over another night if you want," she offered. "About the smacking thing, you look a little too fragile to smack. I'm afraid if I did that I would break you." She waited for her friend's reaction, expecting him to say something about not being fragile despite looking like so.

Leo blushed a bit and stifled a little laugh. "I get that a lot." he said softly, going into the kitchen to find something to eat. "Well....maybe we could go back to your place later....but not right now. Are you hungry at all?" he asked her as he began to look through some cupboards to feel what was there.

Sasha had followed Leo into the kitchen and felt some vibration in her stomach, which she assumed as growling, right after his question. "Yeah, I guess I am. What do you have?" She peered into the cupboards, but found it mostly empty. "Have you done much grocery shopping lately?"

Leo was a bit confused by her question. "Yeah we did go grocery shopping a few days before Ash went into the hospital!" he said, wondering why there weren't any food in the cupboards. He opened the fridge and shivered at the cold air. "I think most of the food is in here. Can you check?" he asked curiously as he held the refrigerator door open for her to look into.

Sasha took a peek in there. "Looks like some eggs, cheese, and leftover spaghetti. Who puts bread and soup in a refrigerator?" She took the cans and the bread out and put them on the table. "Don't tell me that was all you can afford. It's not enough for two people." She grew a bit concerned now. Just how much was Asher paid for whatever job he had?

Leo was reminded of what they were going to make with the little food Asher bought once it was explained to him what was in the fridge. "Oh yeah I forgot, we were going to make soup and grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner one day. I can make some for you if you'd like!" he said happily, though he was rather embarrassed to show Sasha just how little food they had.

"Sure. A sandwich would be nice," Sasha replied before her eye caught something else in the fridge. "You haven't had the smoothie, yet? How long has this been sitting here?" It would probably have gone bad by now, she figured. If she remembered, it had been a few days since she met Leo, so it was a few days since it must have been in there.

Leo blushed brightly when he heard that the smoothy was still in the freezer. "Oh! I'm sorry, I guess we forgot to taste it! But smoothies don't really go bad do they? I mean they stay frozen in the freezer...mold doesn't really grow on frozen foods." he said softly, wondering if it would be okay to at least taste it. He felt bad that he didn't know what it tasted like.

"They usually don't taste good after a few days in a fridge, but I guess we've never tried putting them in the freezer part. You can try it when it thaws out," Sasha said, taking the smoothie from the freezer and putting it on the table to thaw. "By the way, do you need help with cooking? I'd imagine making a grilled cheese sandwich would be difficult without your brother here."
