Tiek didn't know if he liked the idea of climbing this place now that he was here. It's large, crumbling features made his head spin. Instead of tuning back, like a smart man, he decided to head to the ramps.
A few steps in, a giant rock careened down and nailed him on the had. Falling on his side, he clutched to the rickety wood and groaned.

Gathering his bravery, Tiek took the next few steps and slowly ascended from the rickety ramps to the top of the cliffs. Ahead was a bridge. His core kept pulsing faster and faster.

Igny recalled seeing three orbs at the top. She'd only been selected for two of them. She would retrieve the third, and become completely whole.
Which meant ascending the stairs once more. Oddly, the harpies were quiet. Perhaps they were plotting.

The bridge was actually a welcome sight. Igny knew this well, she'd developed a strategy.
Eyes closed and across she went, reaching the other side in no time.

The top. It was time for the showdown, she knew this. There was a fight to be had, war to be waged.
When she reached the nest, she spared no prisoners. Igny went full out from the beginning, bashing birds' skulls in where she could. There was a price to pay for becoming a goddess, it seemed.

"I am sorry, friends. I must defeat you," she mumbled, picking up her stone once more.
One of the harpies pushed her from behind, knocking Igny to the ground. It was only for a moment, but it allowed the birds to get the jump on her.

Igny in turn, swiveled around and attempted to kill them from the ground, kicking her legs out. It wasn't much of a match for the talons the harpies wielded.

The battled continued. Some birds were actually growing fearful, and turned tail. The were in turn smited by their leaders, and much cawing and pecking ensued.

One harpy left. Igny stared it down with all the fury she could muster (which admittedly, wasn't much, as she was a gentle soul).
It got the first attack in, swiping its wings along the side of her head. It left her disjointed for a moment.

The harpy swooped in for one more attack, but Igny knew better now. As soon as it was in range, Igny brought down her star ball upon it, causing it to fade into dust and mist.
"I am sorry for your sacrifice," Igny said, kneeling down to touch what was left of the dust. "May the goddesses' see you at peace."
She then reaped her reward, and climbed back down.

The bridge didn't look rickety: It looked nonexistent. It would definitely not hold his weight. Somewhere, though, an award waited him. He wondered if the Goddess would be proud of him going to a new area and getting an award....
Closing his eyes and edged across the bridge, one step at a time. There was an earsplitting crack as the bridge began to give way. Yelping, he bolted the rest of the distance and tripped. With both eyes closed tightly, it felt like a fall into eternity. A death plunge to the bottom of the World's End.
Instead, the fall ended on the other side of the bridge. Thank god that was over. Shaking, Tiek pushed himself off the ground and brushed off the dirt from his pants.

On top of the cliffs things got foggier until it was hard to see. The foreboding sense of death and doom kept getting stronger. Shaking it off was impossible. Then, the figure appeared. Mostly foggy, whispering out death and promises of pain.
Tiek dodged most of the first attack and was able to draw Crumbling Hope. Using it as a bat, he swished through one of the three mist harpies. It cried out in pain and dissipated.

[Wyng enters from the World's Edge] Everything was just as she remembered seeing it last time and the cliffs still hold the promise of a beautiful view, but this time it is not just the view she is interested in. She remembered that there are blessings to be had at the summit. Smiling, Wyng sets off up the mountain.

Upon reaching the bridge, Wyng noted that this one looked a little sturdier than before. Maybe, whomever built it did not want to fall down. Chuckling to herself at this thought, Wyng continued up the side of the mounting, hoping that the harpies were not still there.
