Out run her no but move out of her way yes. It floated off the line Yimel was running in and when she went to turn she fell but held onto her fragment. She got up and looked around to see if any other figures saw that but why should that matter...she shook her head and walked over to the now still fragment.

"I ... can't say I know what a tattoo is. Sounds neat. Describe it to me?"

Another fragment floated downwards, and Chaesel reached out to grab it. This time it was the feeling of pressing buttons beneath her fingers. Keyboards, d-pads, control sticks ... What it meant, she didn't know.

Yimel bent over and picked it up no problem how odd. She heard sounds like swooshing and bells. She went for another fragment.

That one was easy too. This time she though of orbs but why, all she knew was that she had to go for another fragment.

A fragment floated down gently and landed on his nose. He went cross-eyed look at it, but the accompanying sound startled him so hard it fell.

There was the heavy rattle of metal clanging together, then the soft shhhh of it moving together. Chains. He remembered chains.

He was back at the spire and... well it wasn't bad that he was more solid. Ears... a tail. But it was still as eery as before. That cold looking fog, the sharp edges to everything. He didn't particularly like it. Nor did he know anyone.

Not that... he'd tried too hard yet anyway... but...

"I..." He raised a hand as if thinking to reach out to someone he saw in the distance, those still working to please the goddess. No, he couldn't interrupt them. A low sigh as he backed up a few paces, then looked around a moment longer before turning. There were other areas, right? He'd seen other colors...

He could go find them? Maybe those places were less frightening?

Lex was slower then most, it seemed, as he took his time shuffling around the spire. He had visited the shrine, had been given his task but appeared to be in no real hurry to proceed. Why worry? He had plenty of time.

A smile, almost a grin but not quite, was a constant feature on his shadowy face. If one looked hard they might have even caught a glimpse of teeth, but maybe not, maybe it was just nothing at all.

He supposed, however, that it was about time for him to actually try, and he wandered the jagged and treacherous spire with a slow and easy amble that suggested he wasn't really trying at all.

Still, it was not long before a hand whipped out, snatching a glowing orb of light out of the air, one that was located to his side and very nearly out of sight.

The eerie grin grew wider, and he turned to one figure nearby.

"Hellllllll-o." He said simply, the word long and pronounced almost as slowly as his shuffle.

Oephis turned at the voice and shifted a little, hands coming to sit in front of her. She rocked on her heels for a brief moment before smiling and waving. "Hello," her voice was a little soft; but it was enough that she could be heard.

A fragment fluttered above her and she jumped, fingers curling around it.

Brother.

The word was brushed aside and she stepped closer to the other. "You're on the task as well?"
