Nergui met and held the skinwalkers gaze, his every bit as bright as her own golden eye, and saw in him the same awkward feeling of not quite belonging. For her it was simple. She wasn't a student, merely a guest of Amityvile, and she didn't have a date for the evening. She'd attended on a whim, and not even one she could currently remember. Him though, she was curious about. He was a student, so by all rights he should have fit right in, and yet.. "Good evening," she replied easily as he greeted her, a tiny twitch of a smile showing on dark lips. She hadn't really expected him to come over, but she couldn't say she was really opposed to a bit of company, all things considered. "That mask is very impressive" A single dark finger indicated the blood painted skull. "For a moment I actually thought you might be a clansmen of War. With those trophies, you likely could be." Her voice was cultured, and for Neru it was down right friendly, but there was something just the tiniest bit off about it. The insanity, even after Medea's trance, hadn't gotten better, and the death priestess was still plagued with senseless paranoia and the constant whispering of unheard whispers. The latter though, at least, was chased away by the pulsing of music within the gymnasium, but the paranoia seemed to linger. She couldn't help but glance at her fellow horsemen, half glowing gave flicking from one to the next, never settling for longer then a second. Until it once again landed on the boil in front of her. "You're here alone?"

"Ohh, I hope you say that every year," Lizzy giggled at him, tensing up slightly at the kiss, but deciding that she liked it enough to ignore the feeling of 'eughhh'. She relaxed again, practically dragging her date through the entrance, and into the crowd. The song that was currently playing didn't seem to fit the theme, and it felt odd to see most of the ghouls wearing a full length ball gown... In fact, she realized that she sometimes forgot that she was wearing a full length gown herself.
"The Student Council did a wonderful job," She commented, feeling rather proud of her Soulmate for heading this event; she knew that it had been stressful for the ghoul, but she pulled through! She'll have to go look for her later, and give her a long-owed hug.
The thought was making her sparkle. Looked like Mac would have his very own personal disco ball.

Xiu grasped the sides of her skirt, dropping down into a curtsy in response to the bow. She struggled to maintain her balance for as long as possible--it was clear that she was starting to quiver from the effort--before she had to push herself back up. "Let's, kind gentleman," She replied, biting down on her bottom lip to keep herself from giggling.
She made her way towards the dance floor then, propping her hands on her hips. Okay Sio, show her what to do, and she'll copy you!

Junko squealed with delight as Seiji approached her and held her against him, her arms sliding around his middle to give her boilfriend a tight hug. Normally she would have even nuzzled her face against but...well.. mask. Her boilfriend was here and he was dressed in an awesome outfit and he was the best ever. "Things are going well! Ooooh you look so good I'm so happy you made iiiiit~!" Junko squealed, eyes closed and a huge smile on her lips. Oh, she loved this boil so much. He was the best. As he complimented her she giggled and tilted her head back to look up at him, eyes opening as she stuck her tongue out. "You're just saying that because I'm your ghoulfriend~." Though she did appreciate the compliment. Junko just couldn't consider herself prettier than everyone else. It wasn't possible. Everyone was lovely in their own way. The kiss was happily returned, standing on her tiptoes to meet Seiji's lips. "I love youuuu." She murmured, closing her eyes again while he rubbed her back. Even through the corset-like material of the dress's back that felt nice. "Dance with me~? I think I've earned a little time for that. I've made my rounds." Okay, she hadn't, but for Seiji she'd pretend she had. "...It's just a question because I'm not sure how well this dress dances, by the way. I uh..didn't exactly take dancing into consideration..." A pause. She blushed behind her mask. "Or walking."

"Remi was the glitter Jack was the Drag. Charming both of you just perfect so.... presh." He let the last word linger before cackling slightly even as Remi bowed and curtsied all at once.
Pausing False poked at Jack's tipped up chin, "You see? Even the Fox agrees the stubble is trouble now let me just..." he snapped his fingers twice in front of the cats face waving a flame side to side, ".... singe a little off the bottom?" He quickly put the flame out pulling away before Jack got any bright ideas to hit him. It was a joke but the cat king was stingy about keeping up his devilious looks sometimes.
Eventually it was back to dancing and ghouls, yes the most important thing about this night. "Oh don't count on it. I plan to indeed. As a matter of fact I'll get on that right now." Slipping a hand over he plucked up one of Jack's glitter bombs slipping it up his sleeve, "And I'll be borrowing one of those, don't worry I'll tag someone just for you, you pretty little kitty~" Laughing he slipped away.
Moving over to Amrita who had offered such a sweet little wave, "My dear, you are a friend of the Green King and the Blue Princess? A pleasure." He dipped his head robe sleeves billowing as he reached over to a free hand pressing a light kiss to the knukles. "But I must be off, I have other ghouls to meet, I shall leave you in the capable hands of these two most dashing ladies lovely stranger. Farewell~"
Even as he moved away he gave Remi a quick slap to the a**, a sort of go get her tiger/kitsune thing. Before shifting in to the crowd of students to find his first dance/----- Oh forgive her Hel, everyone knows Sammy was a boil with a pair of tits so of course she would put you in that roll! Beside you had far more lady like of a hairdo then her. The dresses of course where equal parts smashing.
"I promise I won't step your lovely little feet, Siddie made sure before I arrived I knew something about 'a proper ghouls dancing and romancing' I think it was from a book or a magazine even..." Taking Hel by the hips she started to move them about the floor to the newest of the songs humming along a bit when she wasn't speaking.
"Blame Siddie again, we went shopping together, she insists I can pull off a proper ladyghoul when I want to but I find all the extra fluff...." she wiggled side to side ruffling her dress, "To be rather cumbersome, what if I have to kick someone in the face how would I manage that in this?"

"H-here I am!" Anna squeaked, threading her way between two tables and swerving around a few people before coming to rest next to her friends. Her cheeks were flushed, though not because of any makeup or anything other than a perpetual state of embarrassment. "Y-you look so cute, Chaya! S...sura..."... "N-nice mask??"

Interesting Conversationalist
|
Posted: Fri Jun 22, 2012 2:02 pm
Her smile was encouraging. Although not shy in the least, there had had been a very real part of him which had wondered if she might not, perhaps, merely have been eyeing his odd attire, and hadn't really been interested at all in a conversation. The skinwalker found himself relaxing marginally as her response came in the form of a smooth, amiable tone, not failing to notice the way the corners of her lips curled slightly in the barest form of a smile. In fact, she went as far as to help ignite the conversation, his eyes following her finger as she motioned to his mask. Beneath it, his own lips curled into a good-natured smirk -- she had no way of knowing, but he had hardly done anything at all. The skull was real, one he normally wore on his shoulders, so he didn't have to carry his pelt around all the time. The horns and blood were the only additions. Nuk's amused look, however, faded a little as she continued, his eyebrows furrowing a little in bewilderment.
"Clansman?"
Was it a new club? He'd never heard of the clansmen -- the skinwalker's parents had withdrawn him from Amityville soon after the school had gone under investigation six months earlier, long before the students had ever been really aware of the Clans of the Apocalypse. In fact, the only horsemen he was even vaguely aware of was the Heirs, whom he had only really seen in passing anyway, and hadn't thought much about. Cocking his head slightly to one side, he considered that perhaps she wondered if he was a protege of War's heir -- perhaps they were teaching classes?
To his relief, she didn't seem to require much of a response to that. Watching as she glanced away for a moment, her attention straying back to the dance floor, Nukpana quirked an eyebrow curiously, taking that time to consider the ghoul. There was something... different about her. It was something he hadn't really noticed before, had dismissed upon first consideration. Now that he stood closer, he could feel the difference she exuded, an almost tangible feeling to the air around her, one he couldn't quite put his finger on. It was evident, also, in the cadence of her tone, not overall obvious but still... lingering. She settled her hetero-chromatic eyes back on him, and he found that same nagging feeling just behind her eyes, lacing them like the veil she wore.
It wasn't overall unpleasant. Interesting, perhaps mildly unsettling, but he wasn't the type to be chased off by something so trivial.
"Yeah. I... ...I'm new to the school," he lied, pausing only momentarily to consider his choice of words. "How about you?"
She seemed to be alone -- undeniably beautiful, he found it hard to believe that her date wouldn't be constantly at her every beck and call, if she had one.

"Ohhhhhh, Anna, you look so pretty!" Chaya wrapped Anna up in a hug and kissed her cheek. Then she tilted her head, studying the blush on her friend's face. "You're all pink," she announced. "Are you too hot?"

"Th-thank you! And, um... no... just... a lot more people than, um, I'm used to," Anna confessed, self-consciously adjusting the tatted lace mask on her face. "L-last time there was a party like this, I, um, ended up doing something stupid, s-so..."

Roch blinked. Then he gently put Gene down, dug a booberry sucker out of his pocket, and handed it to her. "Jack, I'm sorry you got dragged into that," he said, running a hand over his face. "Y'alright? I didn't hurt you, did I? Her dress didn't bite you, either, right?" He looked her over with a hint of worry, but she didn't seem hurt... just... sort of strange. Bacca... whatever called him gay. Huh. Well, honestly, he was tempted to leave her thinking that so he could enjoy the rest of the night. But then again, leaving her rampaging all over the place probably wasn't a smart idea, either. But he would damn well take his own time finding her, he thought as he stepped into the mass of students and hunters. Maybe he'd even get some of those dances he owed in, first.

"Oh! We'll keep all the people from bumping into you. And I do stupid things all the time, sometimes it's a lot of fun, and when it's not, it's just a stupid thing, so that's all right," Chaya said, wagging.

Eisheth eyed the food suspiciously. She couldn't get used to how carelessly the Halloween denizens approach it, and how many things do they have to feed themselves, it was absurd. " Mmm... no, I guess, I'm not used to dancing with the full stomach", she replied. Spiking the punch, on the other hand, was a neat idea. But how do they actually spike it? " How do you actually "spike the punch"?", she decided to ask. Yeah, that simple. Dancing with Mei was fun, and the alchemist almost relaxed, the strange feeling she almost never could afford before. Mei's explanation was interesting, though contained a lot of words Eisheth couldn't recognize, like "jazz", or "ballet", but it wasn't a problem: tonight she simply felt the dance, and didn't really need a theory for that. Though, she will definitely need to visit the library to study it closely later. She also noticed the familiar figure in the crowd, and waved a hand in Kiwi's direction. Perhaps, they can introduce their dates to each other?

In a sudden moment of clarity, Gene took the sucker and began to suck, and lick, and salivate, then suck some more, then rinse and repeat. Mmm...booberry.
Oh, right, punk who almost took her head. "Nope and nope!" She licked the sucker some more, before sticking it in her mouth. "ou rolly skered tha up." She sucked with a mighty force, before taking her mouth off and suddenly standing up, wobbly and shaky legged, and put a hand of condescending pity on the boil's shoulder. "Have you ever even gone on a date?"

"Yeah, just not with a complete nut--" And then he stopped, a memory from the time they were in the gigantic snowglobe flashing through his head. Of a certain nutcracker. "Candlewax... did you see spots of gray on her?" he asked Gene abruptly. "Shiiiiiitttt, I can't believe I didn't--" She had insanity. He was a moron. But even with insanity, she was acting seriously strange... or maybe she wasn't. The War clan had been seriously strange to begin with, right?
