Shinda and charmander were out walking in the forest to find some Pokemon to catch, shinda sighed "so far we have seen nothing but oddish's, raticate, and weedle, I'd be lucky to find a houndour or poochyena around here" shinda was told that there was a scyther in the forest and shinda really wanted to catch it but so far he didn't have any luck "It has to be somewhere around here, if it's not I would have wasted my time for nothing" he noticed charmander was getting tired, so he put charmander back in its pokeball "get some rest and I promise I'll bring you outcome I find scyther" he continued to walk
Later that day he saw something green and it was moving and it looked like a big insect Pokemon "finally I found it, ok here we go, go charmander!" he threw out the pokeball and charmander appeared, this is charmanders first fight so shinda wanted to see what charmander can do in a fight "ok charmander use scratch!" charmander scratched scyther in its face "good job buddy!" then the scyther used tackle on charmander "ok bud let's give scratch one last go and let's see if we can catch this guy" he held out an empty pokeball that hasnt been used, then charmander used scratch again on scythers face, then scyther fainted and isnt able to be caught "aw man, I think we over did it charmander, the guy said this scyther is supposed to be strong but I guess we had the wrong scyther, aw well lets get you to the Pokemon center, that tackle looked brutal" They walked to viridian city to go to the Pokemon center

Raticate was thrown away from Quagsire almost immediately after connecting with the Ground-type. His body twitched a little but he did not thrash around and move towards the nearest bed. He floated for barely a second before a red light enveloped him and he was pulled inside of the PokéBall in Train’s hand. She clipped it back onto her belt and stared at the Pokémon in the water, hand resting on her third and final Pokémon for this battle. She was worried. They had basically tied their first two matches. Sure, Pikachu was still standing after defeating Goldeen, but just barely. One attack from Quagsire was all it had taken after that to knock him out, and the next match had been a solid tie.
She pulled the PokéBall out of its slot and pressed the button, keeping it in her hand. Gloom appeared on the dock in front of her, rather than on one of the mats floating about the pool. She opened her mouth to speak but cursed under her breath at herself. She had been about to call her Pokémon “Oddish”, but it was clearly not that anymore. She rolled her eyes at herself and tried again. ”Alright, Gloom, this is a big deal. I believe in you. Hit it with a Stun Spore!” Though their training had ended on a good note, Train was now incredibly worried about how Gloom was going to act in this battle. She could only hope that she had retained the confidence she’d finally gained.
And, as the Pokémon took a few steps towards the end of the dock, it appeared she had. She spotted the Starmie and lowered her head a little. A ball of orange powder rose from the plant on her head and floated out over the water, sprinkling downward and landing gently on the surface of the pool, some of it sinking down beneath the water as well.+=+=+=+ It didn’t seem like too much longer had passed, and the darkness had all but swallowed Leon and his Pokémon, save for the light given off by the flame atop his newest Pokémon’s head. He had thought about scanning the Pokémon, as he had done to the Mawile, but at this point it was too dark for him to be able to see the screen of the PokéDex properly. It wasn’t a big deal to wait until they got back to a lighter part of the cave. For now, he was more interested in finding a Sableye to add to his team.
Litwick floated a bit ahead of Leon and Muuma, not realising that Leon could not see in the dark as he could. Muuma had no trouble on her own, but Leon was only human, and was opening his mouth to call the baby back when something caught his eye.
Something glittered in the small bit of light cast by Litwicks flame, and Leon beckoned the Fire-type back to him. They neared the source of the glittering and Leon was pleased to see what appeared to be two large diamonds staring at him from the darkness. It didn’t do anything. It didn’t attack, or run, or even move. It just looked up at him. He honestly thought about just tossing a PokéBall at it point blank, but he knew that it would more than likely end up just going to waste.
”Muuma, use Astonish. …Candle, stay by me." He added as the Litwick began to follow Muuma. It turned at him and bobbled excitedly, chattering at Leon as it tried to inform him that he was also capable of performing that attack! Muuma had disappeared from her spot, and Litwick was slowly starting to do the same. ”No.” Leon scolded firmly, and the Pokémon’s expression totally dropped. It became solid again and floated pitifully to the ground, its flame flickering and growing smaller as a drop of wax dripped down and off of its body, which Leon could only assume was supposed to be a tear.

[Time Skip]
Kilik put a hand on his chin and gazed at the odd gear-like Pokemon that was floating before it. It bore striking similarities to that of a Magnemite - or more likely Magneton; a set of independent minds working together to exist. "How peculiar..." he said aloud, glancing over at Katie's green blob. The floating ball of what appeared to be jelly had something inside of it; it looked like a small head with a pacifier. "These Pokemon don't..." he scratched the back of his head and groaned a little, "I've never even heard of these Pokemon before." While journeying to Sinnoh, Kilik had taken a moment to thumb through a few books on the ship to familiarize himself with some of the local Pokemon. He could recognize a Bidoof here, a Starly there, and even some more unique looking Pokemon like Croagunk or Carnivine. But these two...there was no way they were native to Sinnoh, and even if they were, where did those two Eggs come from?
"Something similar to this happened in Lilycove," Kilik explained, as the gear floated lazily above his head, "When I was visiting my friend in the hospital. My friend Sasha received an Egg as well, seemingly out of nowhere and it hatched into a cactus Pokemon. Something I'd never seen before. It wasn't a Hoenn Pokemon or anything like it. And when I scanned it with my PokeDex..." he held up the red device and pointed it at both the gear and the jelly. Both times it chimed:
""No data for this Pokemon exists in this PokeDex's firmware. An update exists for this model. Please apply system update to version G.5".
"The same thing happened." Kilik put his arms across his chest and pondered for a moment. "Katie, perhaps your PokeDex is a little more up to date than mine? Why don't you try scanning them and seeing what happens." If her PokeDex yielded the same results, then a trip to the Oreburgh Pokemon Cetner was quickly in order. A quick insertion of his PokeDex into the PC could update it no problem. He vaguely remembered Winona's PokeDex was able to recognize the cactus that Sasha had received; Maractus, was it?
The gears continued to clink and clang and turn and grind around Kilik, looking rather pleased. Then again, it was near impossible for the little gears to convey any form of expression other than looking surprised. It floated down around the green jelly creature, gears whirring around rather quickly as it examined it and then floated casually back to Kilik.
Both Electivire and Flareon looked very interested in these two new Pokemon, a pair of which they'd never seen either. The two of them approached Kilik and each took in what they were looking at; a pair of gears. Somehow, this was a Pokemon. Cable stood a little straighter and rolled his eyes, while Flareon sat down at Kilik's feet, tail swishing back and forth. How peculiar.

Hayley blinked a few times, still a bit dazed fro her sudden fall and she was only just aware of a slight throbbing in the back of her head. Alex was there a moment later and she marveled at the stars floating around her friend's head. "I'm just fine, but you've got some stars going on up there," she said, pointing to the empty space above Alex's head. At this point she felt some movement on her belly and she sat up slowly, her green eyes widening when she found herself face to face with a very serpentine and very green little Pokemon. "Well, hello there," the brunette said, smiling at the young Pokemon, quickly making the connection that this had been the creature that hatched from her surprise egg. "Aren't you just the sweetest little thing?" With one hand she reached out and scooped up the young Pokemon while the other searched out her PokeDex. When the device was in hand, she pointed it at the creature she was now cradling. "Who's a good baby?" she cooed, much to the snake-like creature's delight.
"Snivy, the Grass Snake Pokemon," reported the PokeDex in its monotone voice. "They are very intelligent and calm. Snivy photosynthesize by bathing their tails in sunlight. Being exposed to lots of sunlight makes their movements swifter. When they are not feeling well, their tails droop. They are more adept at using their vines than their hands." Elated by this, she pointed pointed the 'Dex at Kressen's living can-opener. "Pawniard, the Sharp Blade Pokemon. Their bodies are comprised entirely of blades. If these blades are dulled by battling, they sharpen them using stones by the river. Ignoring their injuries, they attack in groups by sinking their blades into the bodies of their prey." And lastly, she pointed it at the Pokemon that had hatched from Alex's egg, though she hardly heard what the PokeDex had to say as she stared at the Kadabra. "Drilbur, the Mole Pokemon. It can dig through the ground at 30mph by spinning its body. It could give a car running above ground a good race."
"Whoa, Blues," Hayley said, now standing up, holding her Snivy like a baby. "You're all big now, awesome!"

Kressen walked over to the two girls, Odin trailing rather ungracefully behind him Gigas trying to keep him steady, but trying to avoid the blades. He arrived just in time to hear what the Pokedex had to say about his newly hatched pokemon. "Your a Pawniard huh? Never heard of that kind before. As a matter of fact I don't think I've ever seen any of these pokemon before." Not that he was complaining. Getting such a cool ,yet painful, pokemon from out of nowhere wasn't something he was going to moan about.
Noticing a glow from the corner of his eye, he turned to catch Blues final moments of evolution. "Wow, an Evolution, three eggs appearing out of nowhere, and hatching all within the span of a minute. This day started out terrifying, but it worked out awesome." He patted Odin and Gigas who were now looking each other over.
This was certainly an unforgettable memory and one he would treasure for as long as he lived. "I honestly don't know what to do next. I'm still in shock at what has just happened? Any ideas girls?"

It was a little easier to look at the little snake as her friends, or rather, her friends and Kasiya and this seemingly random red haired girl who hadn't uttered more than a few words tried to convince her that her new Pokemon wasn't really a snake. As usual however Crenu's words won her over and she smiled and nodded, watching the grassy reptile a little more carefully. She finally pulled out her pokedex and identified her new Pokemon, apparently it was a grass-type and called Snivy, though she cringed a little as it was classified as the Grass Snake Pokemon. She pointed it at Kasiya's Minccino just for good measure, and then as though destiny wanted all these Pokemon born today, the other three eggs hatched as well and Riza's Pokedex subsequently identified them as Cubchoo, Sandile and Elgyem.
She was about to ask what they should do now when she saw the blood on Karrigan's hands. "What happened to you?" she asked, kneeling down beside the red head. "You're bleeding all over the place." She looked up at the others and at the various Pokemon. "How about we take this little party to the pokecenter?" she asked, holding out a hand to hep Karrigan up. "I'm Riza, by the way," she added, and looked to Crenu as though expecting him to help up the bloody girl as well. "This is Shiro, and Amy, and Kasiya," she went on, suddenly picking up on the fact that not everyone knew each other. * * * * * Very suddenly, the solid egg Katie was holding wasn't very solid anymore and it felt as though she'd taken hold of a balloon that was slowly leaking air. Perplexed, the orange haired girl glanced down to see that her egg had disappeared, leaving her with a blob of a creature. It blinked up at her and wiggled a bit. "Soool?" It didn't really have much of a facial expression but Katie got the impression that the squishy little blob liked her. And though it wasn't what she'd ever expected to hatch out of her egg, she liked it too. It wriggled out of her grip and began hovering around her, and Katie watched with amazement. It seemed to study the gear like Pokemon as it hovered around it before it let out a strange little snarl. Katie didn't notice though as she was busy paying attention to Kilik.
"This happened before? A cactus?" she asked, reaching into the side pouch of her backpack, which Genki had been kind enough to carry for her. "My mom made sure my pokedex was updated before I left so I don't know if it'll pick up these guys," she said, gesturing to the two floating Pokemon. "Here goes nothing," she said, flipping it open and pointing it at her blob.
Solosis, the Cell Pokemon, said the device. Because their bodies are enveloped in a special liquid, they are fine in any environment, no matter how severe. They drive away attackers by unleashing psychic power. They can use telepathy to talk with others. "Oh cool," Katie beamed. "It's a psychic-type, I've always wanted to try my hand at raising one. She giggled and pointed it at Kilik's Pokemon, nearly on pins and needles with excitement. Klink, the Gear Pokemon. The two minigears that mesh together are predetermined. Each will rebound from other minigears without meshing. The fixed pair spin around each other to generate the electricity they need to live. "Yours is a steel-type but I'm pretty sure we both saw that one coming."
The Solosis didn't seem to be too pleased with the Klink hovering and grinding around it so the psychic-type floated away. Genki grinned and waved at his new teammate, eliciting a sharp growl from the cell Pokemon in reply. "Guess it's not too friendly," Katie commented. "Anyway, should we move on? We're not getting any younger, here."

"Salut, Kilik!" Sasha practically sang. "Isn't she z'he most adorable l'eetle s'hing?" She pulled Samba close to her, imitating the maraca-like noise that it made when it shook its arms. The Maractus, delighted at this, flailed her arms wildly, filling the room with the noise. "She's going to be z'he star of 'zhe show isn't she?" Sasha cooed.
"Didn't see you come in." said Winona, walking past Kilik and sitting down, the bottle of fruit punch in her hand already a quarter empty. "If you left right after me that Flygon of yours could use some exercise." she teased.
------
If Karen had felt like fainting before, Kasiya explaining to her that her son had actually died and was revived by a legendary Pokemon caused the woman to nearly vomit on the spot. She suddenly felt very dizzy, and sat down in a nearby chair to catch her breath. "This is all so much." Karen said weakly. The very words leaving her mouth further exhausted her, so she decided to just be silent and let everything soak in.
Just then, from inside the canopy, a bright light began to shine above Mike. With a glow similar to that of an evolving Pokemon, the light soon took a ovular shape, and in a shower of sparkles, produced an egg that landed softly on the boy's chest. The impact caused the boy to stir, his head shifting somewhat violently to one side as his eyes slowly fluttered open. He took in a deep, pained breath, his scars glowing a bright orange, before exhaling, coughing small wisps of smoke as he felt his ribs dig into him. The numbers on the machine rose and fell with each breath, marking the incredible increase in temperature in his body now that he had woken up. "Where are we?" he asked, unaware of his visitors.
"Baby!" Karen shouted, leaping up from the chair and racing over to his side. "You're in the hospital. You're going to be okay. You're safe now!" She paid no attention to the egg, her son's health being much more important to her than a randomly appearing object.
A lab of some sort. said a ghost, rising from the floor. No, more of a hospital.
Might as well be a lab with all of the machines you're hooked up to. added another, inspecting one of the screens.
"Machines?" Mike questioned, answered when he raised his arm and saw two large tubes sticking from his arteries and feeding into a giant machine.
"Yes honey," Karen answered. "These are just to make sure you're not overheating."
Maybe they will run tests. You are one of a kind now.
"Tests?" Mike's eyes shot open. "Experiments!" he shouted. "No! I won't let them! I won't become a lab rat, I'll burn this place to the-" he sprang up in bed, greeted by incredible pain all over his body. His mouth hung open in agony as he clutched his side.
"Sweetie!" Karen cried out, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Relax. Relax. You're safe now. I won't let them turn you into an experiment."
"M-mom?" Mike asked weakly, suddenly aware it was more than just him and his phantoms in the room. "Is that you?" He looked up to the rest of the room and found he had even more visitors. Kasiya and Flannery were there too. The boy smiled weakly, his strength still far from returning to him. It was then he felt something wriggling on his lap and looked down to find an egg shifting around.
An egg. A ghost stated. How strange. We do not remember picking one up.
Perhaps Keegan left it for you.
"Keegan." said Mike, his smile growing wider. "He left me a gift. He left me a gift because he really does care. He really does." Mike's lower lip trembled slightly as he gently scooped the egg into his hands. "I was so afraid he hated me for everything that happened, but he really doesn't! He really doesn't." Mike's expression quickly went to stern as he pulled the egg to his ear to listen for the trademark click of Keegan's timed firecrackers, just in case. He never did figure out how to make them silent. No bomb in there, just a regular egg. Mike sighed in relief, bringing the egg back to the front and letting it rest gently in his hands. "What little thing is shaking around in there?" Mike asked his mother. Karen shrugged, not willing to tell the boy that it wasn't Keegan who left him the egg. She turned and shot a quick look at the girls, letting them know they would not say anything to ruin the moment.
"It's almost here." Mike said gently, his tone completely alien from what he had been like in the past week. His eyes were fixed on the egg, a warm and kind smile on his lips. "Maybe I can give you a little bit of help little guy. In a way only I can." Mike closed his eyes and took in a silent breath, the palms of his hands began to glow a faint orange as he warmed up the egg like a human incubator. The egg began to shake even more violently, and soon, a crack formed in the top as whatever was inside of it made its way out with one final push.

Just where the heck are all these Pokemon coming from? Kasiya thought, smiling warmly as her Minccino retreated from what she decided was a less-than-friendly human, considering she was trying to clean his dirty shoe and all he could do to thank her was try and boot her away. She was thrilled to see all the other Unova-native Pokemon, however and she rushed over to Riza's Snivy and began to brush the Grass-type off with her tail, as it was her way of saying hello. She followed up by visiting with Amy's new Sandile and then the Elgyem, though when she got to the icy little bear, she paused, not only because of the gross-looking snot dripping from its nose, but also because of the fact that the redhead's hands were covered in blood. The Minccino whimpered and darted back over to Kasiya, who giggled and scooped her up after stowing her own PokeDex back in her pocket. It had been getting a good workout lately.
Riza's concerns about the redhead didn't go unnoticed, however, and she too knelt down beside the girl, a little weary of the little ice bear on her lap. "Your bandage is soaked through," she said, looking up at Riza. "She's right, though. We should get to the Pokemon Center so you can get this checked out. You don't want it getting infected. And yep, Kasiya! That's me." She smiled at the redhead, wondering what the girl had done to her hand in the first place. On her shoulder, the Minccino cooed happily, mostly concerned with sweeping bits of imaginary dust from her trainer's clothing.
=-=-=-=-= The noise that Jake made as shards of shell rocketed away from his egg was somewhere between a balloon quickly losing all its air and shrieking toddler waking up from a nightmare. The sound repeated itself when Jake saw the Pokemon floating before him, and it was by far the strangest thing the blonde had ever seen. Even his distant and faraway memory knew he hadn't seen anything like it, and even Jade seemed apprehensive. It looked like a strange, oddly-painted clay pot, held aloft by strange, skinny wings. He wasn't even sure where the thing's eyes were, but as it stared at him, he got the sense that the creature already knew him. "This is weird," he agreed, glancing from his Pokemon to Jade's cotton ball. "Probably the weirdest thing for me, at least, and that's saying a lot."
Unlike Jade's Pokemon, however, the floaty, flying Pokemon was easily over four feet tall and Jake could sense a quiet strength emanating from it. He didn't know what it was called and it bothered him, but then he remembered the shiny new PokeDex that Professor Rowan had given him, and he pulled it out of his backpack. "Let's solve part of the mystery, at least," he said, pointing it at his new Pokemon.
"Sigilyph," the device crooned. "The Avianoid Pokemon. These creatures were ones the guardians of ancient cities, and they use their psychic power to attack enemies that invade their territory. They never vary the route they fly, because their memories of guarding an ancient city remain steadfast." He looked at Sigilyph, blinked a few times, and then pointed it at the cottony Pokemon. "Cottonee, the Cotton Puff Pokemon. They go wherever the wind takes them. On rainy days, their bodies are heavier, so they take shelter beneath big trees. When attacked, it escapes by shooting cotton from its body. The cotton serves as a decoy to distract the attacker. Perhaps because they feel more at ease in a group, they stick to others they find. They end up looking like a cloud."
"Cottonee and Sigilyph," he said, laughing. "Never heard of them before, but they're pretty awesome. A Grass-type and a Psychic/Flying-type. I think they're definitely what we needed." Sigilyph made a noise and hovered closer to Jake. The boy almost instantly was overcome with a feeling of security, and he wondered if the universe had sent this mystical Pokemon here to help him. Perhaps a Psychic-type could help him with his memories. With their new Pokemon identified, Jake motioned for them to continue on to the sporting goods store.
=-=-=-=-= Despite Amy's and Crenu's eggs hatching only moments after hers, Karrigan could only stare down at the adorable little bear on her lap, her eyes wide with wonder. Looking at it gave her a chill, but the good kind, and she couldn't help but think that it was the cutest Pokemon of them all.
"Cuuub... chooooo!"
Until it sneezed.
A large drop of mucous now dangled from its nose, and though it looked rather disgusting, the cub seemed to have good control of it. That didn't make it any less disgusting, but Karrigan kept her expression calm. Riza's PokeDex identified the little creature as Cubchoo, and as though destiny had planned to drop it in her lap all along, it was also revealed to be an Ice-type. "H-hello there," she said, raising a hand to say hello to the baby bear, but then Riza took notice of the blood. The redhead's cheeks flushed with embarrassment but no words came to mind, even as Riza introduced the others. She nodded meekly and stood up with the raven-haired girl's help. "Th-thank you," she managed finally. "My name is... is... Karrigan. It's very nice to meet you all." She sucked in a breath, trying to shake off her nervousness. These people didn't seem so bad, though the Crenu fellow was a bit standoffish. "As for my hand, a Beedrill happened when my Shinx got into trouble. It's not as bad as it looks, but you're right, we should treat it." She nodded to her little snot-bear and it began to totter along behind her, happily singing "cub!" with every step she took, snot swaying in the breeze.

The two of them made it to the gate that lead out of the town when Robin's phone started to ring. "Ah hello?" Robin picked it up not recognizing the number. Maybe this was why Rowan said to keep the phone on? Was this an expert on Larvesta pokemon?
"Hello! Robin is it? Is what Rowan said? You have a Larvesta?" An excited female voice came from the speaker.
Robin glanced over at Ampersand who just shrugged, he had no idea who this was either apparently. "Ah yes this is Robin." Looking down at the sleeping Zuko in her arms she shifted him a little as she adjusted her hold on the phone. "Well, I don't know if it is a Larvesta or not. That's what Rowan called it over the phone after he saw the picture."
Robin seemed to be able to pick up the disappointment at the fact that Robin didn't know for sure. "Rowan is usually pretty good at identifying pokemon. Not as good as Professor Oak, still he isn't usually wrong. I was so excited when I got a call from him though! I haven't talked to him in ages, he tends to keep to himself." She sounded a little disappointed at that. "Still, I am sure he wouldn't have called if he wasn't sure."
"Um." Was all that Robin could say as the excited woman over the phone kept talking to her. She could see Professor Rowan isolating himself from the rest of the Professors though, he really did like his privacy.
"Right! So I can't head over there myself to check it out. I am going to send my assistant over there tomorrow, Where are you going to be tomorrow?"
"Um, I dunno. Let me ask?" Robin looked over at Ampersand. "Where are we going to be?"
" Tell her that we will meet her assistant in Veilstone City. We are going to get there around noon." Ampersand offered.
"He said that we were going to arrive at Veilstone by noon and were going to spend the rest of the day there."
"All right then! I will send her over! Keep an eye out! I hope that what you have is a Larvesta! Just think about how much we can learn about this type of pokemon!" Whoever was on the other line just kept talking on excitedly. Robin just listened with a smile before she said goodbye and made a promise to be in Veilstone at noon tomorrow.
~~~~~~~
Upon being released again the Irate pokemon shook it's shaggy head and sniffed the air for a moment before growling. Without warning she started barking at the doctor her sharp teeth flashing in the light.
"Woah! Woah! Calm down there sweetie!" The doctor was taken a little back by the sudden anger coming from this pokemon. Still the blue dragon must be scared, it had suddenly hatched and something must have scared it. Dragons were an odd bunch, only the best trainers could really handle them. This little punk trainer probably just didn't have the ability to really handle a pokemon this tough. Reaching out he held his hand out in a nonthreatening manor.
Dante watched with mild interest he was pretty sure that this arrogant doctor was going to get bitten, or burned. The small blue and black dragon seemed to sniff a bit at the mans hand. It was blind like the pokedex said so it couldn't really see that it wasn't being threatened, Dante didn't think it would be afraid anyway. Sure enough the dark dragon opened it's mouth and a second later the doctor was yelling in pain echoing Dante's earlier one. "Told you." Dante said as he recalled the little demon. "Thanks for bandaging me up." He muttered as he checked out his now wrapped up hand. Heading back outside Dante was immediately greeted by an enthusiastic Angelic and Leo.
"So what's your boyfriend like?" Leo asked a serious look on his face.
"He has a girlfriend Leo!" Angelic scolded before turning over to Dante. "So what is she like?"
Dante suddenly wished that he was back with the doctor.
"Oh not a gym battle?" Roark was a little disappointed. Hearing out what the younger boy had to say though caused him to brighten up a little. It wasn't everyday that someone recognized that gym leaders did know a lot about their favorite pokemon type, heck all gym leaders knew a lot about pokemon in general. "Well, steel types aren't really my specialty but I do happen to know a lot about them." Roark offered glad that he had listened to his dad's long talks about steel types. Then again those talks usually ended up in a pokemon battle between the two defending their respective types. Sure his dad usually won those but Roark was catching up! With each battle and each day in the mines he learned more and more about his pokemon. Soon he would be the one beating his dad!
He watched with a weary eye as the little bladed girl headed over to him looking like she wanted a hug. "Haha hold on there little one." Roark smiled as he bent down and placed a calloused hand on her head carefully avoiding the blade. "You need to be careful with yourself."
Keegan had only a small window of opportunity in which to shield himself and the baby dragon from the exploding toilet. Water and pumpkin innards flew everywhere, and the noise was quite deafening. When the worst of it was over, Keegan turned around, the little Axew peeking out from under his coat. Somehow, the toilet itself remained in tact, but the lid had been blown clean off. Toilet water dripped from the ceiling, as well as chunks of pumpkin skin and a gross-looking, stringy orange glop. There was also a faint aroma of burning pumpkin in the air, and he wrinkled his nose. Every step the redhead took resulted in an unhealthy sounding squelch and he winced, wondering what the odds were that no one heard the explosion. Axew, on the other hand, seemed utterly thrilled by what had happened and was eagerly clapping his hands, as though beckoning for Keegan to do it again. The redhead narrowed his eyes at the dragon. "No, we're not doing that again," he said quietly, but sternly, and he snatched his backpack from the ground after brushing off bits of orange slime.
He had the foresight to remove the crude paper towel bandage from his head and at quickly wipe the pumpkin guts from his face and he stepped outside of the bathroom, doing his best to look as nonchalant as possible. It was difficult to do, however, what with the water now gushing out of the small bathroom and creating a mini-flood in the hallway. He didn't bother to close the door and he rushed off in the opposite direction of the waiting room, ducking into random patient rooms as he searched for the one that Mike was currently occupying. He stepped into one toward the end of the hall and out again, pausing and doing a double-take as he saw a familiar poof of red hair and he slipped back in, the little Axew tucked oddly under his arm like a stuffed toy. "Hey, I'm here, I told you I'd be here," he said, a bit out of breath as he pushed his way in between Flannery and Kasiya while giving a quick nod do Mrs Kyoka. "What'd I miss, is he awake yet?" His green eyes fell on the little candle Pokemon that had just hatched from the egg, and he suddenly remembered the dragon he'd been carting around for the past five minutes. "Oh, that is neat. Look, I got one too," he said, now holding up the Axew for all to see. The dragon studied the humans around him and attempted to be intimidating, though the fact that he was only flailing his arms and legs and squeaking definitely dulled the effect.
"Well we better get going then. We might not be able to spend the night in Hearthome city though since we are on a time scale here." Ampersand felt a little bad about that. He had wanted to reward her a bit and maybe they could have taken a walk in the pokemon park for a bit. Maybe they still could, it really depended on how many pokemon battles Robin got sucked into.
"Well, there is a gym there isn't there? It's not like I won't be able to spend a bunch of time there when I need to challenge that gym right?" Robin actually wasn't quite sure on that. She had been rushing around lately. She only hoped that Ace and Black*Star would be up and ready for the gym challenge tomorrow. It seemed like it was awfully close in timing since her one today. She should probably try to work with them some tonight. Maybe when they arrived at their destination she could try to train with the two of them. "Ampersand, What kind of pokemon does this gym leader use?"
"Oh, um, the Veilstone gym leader? Well I am pretty sure it is a fighting type gym." Ampersand wasn't quite sure on that actually. He just really knew that there was a gym there. The two of them stepped into the building at the start of the bike route. "Were going to take two bikes down to the bottom." Ampersand offered putting down the money for the rental before going over to the bikes and picking out a nice blue one. He was wheeling it over when he felt something climb up onto his shoulder. "Hey there Luffy." He greeted feeling a little uncomfortable with an awake pokemon near him. Still he did like Luffy so he didn't shew him off. "Riding with me?" The Ambipom just grinned at him and settled himself down.
Robin had picked out a bright pink bike and had settled a sleepy looking Zuko in it. "Ready to go?" She asked with a grin as she swung a leg over the bike seat.
"Look, I am not going to tell you since it isn't any of your business." Dante tried his best to cut off their curiosity. He should have known that would only make them more curious.
"Oh you don't want to talk about it? Is there trouble in heaven?"
"I bet she" "He is totally gay!" "I bet that SHE is giving him the cold shoulder. I would never do something like that to you." Angelic batted her eyelashes at him.
Dante was sure this was now his punishment for winning that battle. Or it was the little demon that had come out of the egg. Sighing Dante rolled his eyes up to the sky. "Can I get Kenny healed please?" Maybe he could also get some pills from Nurse Joy to slip into the Deinos food? A thought came to him that caused him to groan a bit. Clutching the egg in his arms he tried to forget about the thought that he was going to have to feed the bitter. Maybe she would be more interested in the food then eating him?
"No tell us who you are dating!" They both yelled at him.
“Thanks, bro. Eating alone woulda been dull!” Scarlet followed behind Jett, grinning broadly, as the boy’s recruitment speech had succeeded, and Viy was totally part of their little group now. Once Scarlet had scooped up food for him and his vastly growing team, he took his seat, starting to pick his pokeballs from his belt. Of course all motion stopped when Jett brought up Jasper’s rather… interesting day.
“… Team Rocket? Like, the Poke-mob Team Rocket? Is he alright…?” Stupid question, considering how calm Jett was, but still. He’d heard the Kanto gym leader was also the boss of the villainous gang of Pokemon thieves, and that he’d been crazy enough to attack a group of people gathered for Rowan’s speech in Hoenn with a Dragonite via Hyper Beam. Anyone working for someone that sociopathic was bound to put up a fight even the redheaded battle freak wouldn’t want. “Ditto and Totodile are pretty rare… I hope they didn’t get snatched up or anything…”
Thankfully, that wasn’t the case, though, and holy hell if that wasn’t impressive. “… Man, he beat Team Rocket on his own…? What a total badass! God knows why he doesn’t like battling,” The redhead muttered, gazing toward the ceiling and stroking his chin. “… I guess when you can handle stuff like that, you don’t have much to prove? I dunno, I’m rambling now, that just sounds really cool.”
With the press of a few buttons, Cindy, Halibel, and Terumi made their appearances. The Quilava’s flame patches blazed up, a heated snarl issuing forth, at least until she realized that the bad crocodile was gone, along with Cyan, sadly enough. With a reserved sigh, the flames died down and she growled a greeting to Jett as Scarlet placed a bowl of pokemon food in front of her. Then she noticed the rather large bug sitting on his shoulder, canting her head to the right. “… Quil?”
“That’s Viy,” Scarlet said grinning. “Jett uh… Acquired him while we were dealing with Cyan.” He glanced toward Jett, grin fading just a bit. “Cyan’s a friend from Cherrygrove. We tend to battle a lot, and we lost this one by an inch.”
Thankfully for Scarlet, Cindy didn’t seem too bothered by the appraisal. After all, if she’d gotten that inch closer, they’d have crushed that stupid alligator, and frankly, Jett finding that weird thing was a little more impressive. She cheerfully barked a hello to Viy. Jett always assembled the coolest pokemon!
“Karp,” Halibel said from her spot on the ground, her single black pupil locking on to Scarlet’s leg. Or rather, locking on to the thing hiding behind Scarlet’s leg.
From his quiet spot behind The Loud One, Sledge peeked out, hexagon ear aimed directly at the red fish. The sound it made was simple, but complex. A thousand welcoming words uttered in a single syllable. A profound statement of friendship, of solidarity. He could feel the kindness radiating from the fish, and shuffled from behind Scarlet’s leg.
“Karp,” she beckoned. Sledge lumbered toward the Magikarp, who gently patted him on the head with her tailfin, Cindy and Terumi staring on in untold confusion.
The Gastly shot Scarlet a face that screamed ‘what the hell is that, and who the hell trusted you with an infant.’
“What? Oh, you’re wondering about Sledge?” Scarlet nervously scratched his head. “I ‘acquired’ him too. Or rather he fell out of the sky as an egg and landed on my head. My gut tells me I should keep him, and he joined our team, so be nice, okay?”
Terumi rolled his eyes and hovered toward Jett, tiny black pupils curiously observing Viy. A fellow poison type was always a treat to see. The ball of gas grinned broadly, introducing himself with a deep bow, or as good a bow as a floating head could muster. “Gas,” he uttered, apologizing profusely for any embarrassment his pet human may have caused.
In the meantime, Cindy approached the Roggenrola and the Magikarp, dragging over her food bowl and swiping some to the ground for the fish’s simple consumption. Sledge cuddled in close to the Quilava, who stared at him for a bit before simply shrugging and chomping in to her own food.
Scarlet smiled a bit at the scene. It was good to at least see that most of his team liked the rest. He looked over toward Jett after a moment, starting to wonder if the black haired boy had gone through any ‘beat up Team Rocket’ level events. “What about you? What were you up to? Before ah, Viy showed up, anyway?”
