The voice.
It filled her head. She knew this voice. She'd heard it before..no..she hadn't heard the voice before... she'd heard that conversation before. Her ears burned as Red ascended away from them, dragged aloft by her newly remembered wings. Shehk clutched at her head as it permeated into her head. That voice...
That voice.
"I know this conversation..." she gasped. Deja Vu went ripping through her mind. It flashed to her in a series of still images. It was a moment that had plagued her for some time. Desperation, the lack of response... the cold... she'd tried so hard to stop it all and failed. For her failure, she'd paid a price. However, her price was not the same price that the werewolf paid. The scent, the familiar sound...
She'd been there. She'd seen it...
....
.....
It was all her fault. The feeling struck her in the gut. This situation had happened because of her. Not directly...in a way, but... it was a reminder..she'd lacked the power then, she lacked the power now.... While the insanity from the beast had lightened to a new wave of FEAR that flushed over the group, Shehk felt a certain amount of insanity that still engraved itself into her head.
"Thank you....I can use that, Red...." she whispered quietly. She had direction. But first, they had to survive.

"Dammit!" Cass swore at the thing began to fly. She stepped back to avoid its range of attack, moving her hand to the other side of her weapon and drawing the gun instead. She fumbled with it awkwardly from the cut in her palm, but it seemed that the creature fleeing had another positive effect for her:
It allowed Nicodemus to silence and her head to quiet. Despite not getting acknowledged by the boss-man as an all-range fighter, she placed both hands on the pistol and looked up, aiming and pulling the trigger. However, the shaking of her bad hand threw everything off for her, making a face as it seemed she only managed the more bare of damage to the flying abomination above them.
"Can anybody else make a better shot on that??"

Jerry was panting as he scrambled to his feet, blinking through his cracked lenses just in time to see Caelius nod in his direction. He blushed, straightening his glasses before hefting the bazooka up. Candace- Candace! He sighed in relief to see her on her feet, doing well enough... Right. Right! He wouldn't let their Captain down. Only a few of them had weapons with long enough reach, he couldn't miss... He hurried forward, crouching where he could get good footing before carefully taking aim. At least he could shut the eye behind the broken lens for now, watching the soaring monster while just barely keeping a grip on his rising panic. Ultimately, he shut his eyes and pulled the trigger, the eruption soaring, but diminishing the moment it got close to the creature...  HP: 27+10=37

As the giant beast that was Red continued its rampage, Johan kept an eye on her head, studying the brightly glowing runes scrawled there. Restored to health, he was able, and extremely willing to move out of her way, but he refrained from attacking her. Not that he'd really had much of a chance to do so, taking the full force of her last two attacks and barely surviving. But he couldn't shake that something was weird. Beyond glowing, giant, be-winged wolf-behemoth weird. If that was still Professor Red, he didn't want to risk attacking. This suddenly became apparent when the beast shook its head, and something curled away from the skull. Johan stared after it sharply, wondering at its meaning. Then the voice flooded his head, and Johan whirled around, looking for the source. Who? Someone talking to Red? It faded, and Johan only caught a glimpse of rune flaring on Reds head before the attacks rained down on the beast. Johan, spying Amrita amongst the crowd, ran for her, doing his best to avoid the chaos. He crashed to a halt in front of her, huffing from exertion. "Amrita! Something'z off. I don't think zat vas Red talking." he panted, "But zey said Red vill die. Fear and Hunter veaponz don't combine? Do you haf any idea vhat zat meant?"

After she struck out at Red’s tail, the reaper leaned heavily on her spear once more, listening to the battle rage on around her, as well as her fellow student’s impassioned words. She was…pleased to be in the company of such spirited individuals, if something were to happen to her…at least she went down in good company…
Apparently those thoughts could take a back seat for now, and Hel could only stare wide eyed as the creature that was Professor Red seemed to be…coming around? She watched this with fascination, though threw an arm over her eyes as a white light poured down upon them from the sky, and immediately she felt a bit of relief. The reaper gasped as she stared down at herself. She had her Fear shield back! It was like breathing life back into her again…another chance! The valkyrie watched as Red suddenly took into the sky, and knew then what she could do.
Follow, of course! She had wings too!
With a renewed spurt of energy, the valkyrie pushed off of the ground and took off after Red, climbing up after her as fast as her wings could carry her. As tempting as it was to go for the head, it was certainly too risky, so like her fellow students and Hunters, the reaper swung her spear at the creature’s wings.

FEAR: The Mind – Y1 - Hel is able to select an opponent and he/she/it will feel like they are experiencing fatigue. It would negatively alter their battle performance for a short time.

Cautiously something within Lattice's hair crawled out and rested on her forehead. The small animated ink blob leaned down and pressed small inky appendages against her forehead trying to rouse her from her stunned state.
"Meep? Meepmeep!" Needless to say Lattice's forehead was now covered with bits of inky remains but the Engraver wouldn't mind. It was really rather touching that the small ink blob was trying to reawaken her.
Lattice stirred, she'd been vaguely aware of what the others were shouting but could not react. She had no reaction even if she wanted to. Inky paused in what it was doing and stared skyward and let out small distressed 'Meep!' and disappeared back within Lattice's dark tresses but that was alright because the ghoul was now sitting up to observe what was happening because for the moment that was all she could do. She heard voices though she wasn't sure what to make of it at all and then eventually...
A wash of blue light and she felt so much better. It made it possible for her to stand up on her own two feet again. There was a sense of sadness to her and she wasn't sure what to do. Should she attack? It seemed as if the one known as Red was realizing something slowly but surely or at least she hoped. Despite being reinvigorated at least a bit she had to do something. She had to help somehow. Forgetting personal vendettas she simply stared up at the flying beast.
"Professor Red. I am sorry for your pain," she said simply as a set of needles appeared in her hand once more she was going to take aim for the wings. It felt wrong to attack an 'Elder' and yet something needed to be done what if they hurt everyone again?

Willow's ears flicked as she watched Redzilla and suddenly there was a beam of light that shot down. Her brow lofted as she shielded her eyes for that few seconds. Feeling a bit better than she had originally, "So.... where did that come from?" Her ears were twitching with each noise.
She moved to find Demi, she needed to check on Demi. She moved as quickly as she could, when zilla took off she held her arm against her eyes trying to see through the dust. "Demi?" She ran over towards him, "Demi!"
She slid to a stop when she found him, "Are you feeling better? I might be crazy..." She frowned, "but I think that did something."

Nefertari felt a surge of FEAR enter her, healing her. Her cuts healed, her bruises lightened a bit. She felt a lot better than she had been but was not entirely healed. Her fellow students and even the hunters attacked Red's legs, she admired how Aksaja attacked strongly. He was one hell of a dragon. She watched as the creature that was their teacher seem to falter. But now she was in the air. That was somewhere she could go.
Quickly she took off, her wings beating fast. She went for the one thing that could get her back down. The creature's wings. From her own experience it made it hard to fly when you wings are being attacked.
HP: 10 + 8 = 18 / 30
Target: WINGS
Damage: 2 divided by 2 = 1 total

Sammy watched as the light shot down, a blast of pure FEAR filled her body already topped off with the power of the pumpkin pill. It was different this time. Even the little internal things seemed to piece its self back together. Her eyes rolled skyward as Red lifted off again, the voice was... familiar; Arel?
"Shehk... Shehk that's Arel..." She looked at the other ghoul face feeling off, "Shehk, was this when a bunch of us followed Red? I heard them argue, the pendant, but that, when did this..." She looked up her gut twisting, "No they wouldn't...."
If her heart wasn't dead, it would be pounding.

That voice... that was Arel. Why where they hearing the secretaries voice...? Mandys ears flicked towards Sammy as she was reminded of the hallway encounter.
.....oh.
"H-He said it was a trap.... She said we're fragile, asked if he would sit by and just watch us be killed....."
Mandy was starting to understand some horrible implications, sure she'd realized that this trip wasn't going to be any better than the others.... but she had thought they where talking about what had happened.
"....Was this planned?"
It wasn't clear who Mandy was talking to or if she was just thinking aloud.

Madison tried to keep everything straight - the battlefield was as chaotic as anything she'd ever experienced, what with the weird voices, color draining out of the world, and the strangeness of fighting alongside the freaks. She was just leaping to one side to avoid another tail-sweep when suddenly a bright light dawned over the entire area. At first, she thought it was the sun, but Kouki made a happy sigh and she felt the shield around her become sturdier. Oh, that is good. May we have more, please?"What is it?" Madison began, then flinched backwards as the massive monster first fell to the ground, then launched up off of it. "Wait... hey!" That is unfair! We cannot go that far without our power! Kouki huffed, directing all his ire at the circling shadow above. We want to do something!!Do something... do something...There was no way any thrown projectile could do anything; she saw the other Hunters with ranged weapons taking their shots. At a loss, Madison looked to their leader... and that, that was something she could do. She sidled over towards Caelius and held out her last remaining bandage. "S-sir, if you... please take it?" she stammered. HP: 25 + 10 = 35!

The sudden radiant brightness, sunlight, FEAR, whatever, was ... weirdly beautiful, strangely comforting. Did you - no, never mind, Jordan said, changing his mind about asking Ferros if the weapon had heard the voice too. It didn't matter, really. I wanted to burn something, Ferros said, softly and sulkily. ... no help from that quarter. He'd missed, failed, and it looked like his weapon was going to hold that against him. The feeling of barren hurt was a surprise. Jordan did his best to ignore it. Madison's idea was a good one. Jordan followed her, dug out his remaining bandage. "Do you need this, sir?" he asked. He wasn't going to give it outright, but if Caelius needed it, he would give it to the Death Hunter. If not - he'd keep it to tend to his own. HP: 15+ 10 = 25

He did not know what had happened, but when Bix pulled himself to his feet, Gale could feel himself regaining some of his old strength. The dizziness had dissipated, color flooding back into his vision, and though he was not completely better, he was well enough to fight.
All it took was one glance from Caelius for Gale to understand completely what he meant. He turned to Bix, gave the other a nod, and hoisted the sniper rifle up against his shoulder.

A smirk crossed Gale's face. His finger pressed against the trigger as the cold seeped up the weapon, starting from the tip and making its way across the metal as though it were being frozen from the inside out.
Good answer.
BANG.
The bullet exploded from the end of the barrel, spinning up and out. Ribbons of ice spiraled around it, surrounding the metal and with a resounding crack, tore through one of the wings in a hail of ice.
"Perfect."

Shehk growled.
"Shut up." She snarled, her nerved suddenly revved up into high gear. "Like that incident meant anything to you." To most students who had followed after it, it had been nothing. They had high tailed it out of there the second they had a chance. Or they had been stupid and not fled when she'd tried to save them.
"Isn't it ********' ironic? Everybody who tries to save people in this school ends up dying for them." Shehk rubbed the back of her neck. It felt cold. It was a reminder. She had failed. "Yeah, when you high tailed it out of there I died. I died because nobody in that ******** hallway would move and get the hell out of there. I died to try and get people out of harms way." Her eyes flicked to Mandy, and then to Johan.
"I don't know what any of it means. However, I doubt this was what Red intended to happen. But Arel didn't want it. He tried to stop her.
By dying I became a platform for all of this." The slippery-slope of her logic was beginning to form in her angry tiff before she looked up towards the sky again to watch the shape that prowled it. Would it have been safe for her to try and will Red to stay up there? But..where could she go?
Her mind was starting to race again. There was anger, and confusion. Images flashed through it like a strobe light and it just...it killed. It made her head throb. Feelings from earlier started to seep in again. Betrayal...hatred...guilt. She clutched her head, gritting her teeth together. She hated this place.
"We had to have been meant to be a trap..."

The legs had been disabled but then the thing took to the sky and now he was more useless than ever with Yom pleading repeatedly for him to use the charged up attack but he couldn't do a damn thing even if he wanted to and so he ignored it watching as it took skywards trying to make sense of what he had just heard from it.
He supposed this was a good time to catch his breath but that didn't make the feeling of uselessness any better for him. Jude clutched at the middle section of his weapon tighter as he then gazed around a bit trying to single out his comrades to make sure they were still standing and it seemed as if they were. Jude was happy to see that Cass was alright as well as a couple of others from his group. Then of course he looked for those outside of his group. They didn't need help so for now he considered himself on standby. There were already others offering bandages to Caelius and so it probably would be a useless endeavor for him to try and do the same right now.
Jude supposed that the Fearless Leader was taking much of the beasts rage. Perhaps a bit too much.
At Cass's words he simply said, "I can't even hit the damn thing right now. So you did awesome no matter what."
